  • Patent number: 7263925
Abstract: The invention concerns a hydraulic axial piston machine (1) with a cylinder body (3), at least one piston (9) to be axially displaceable in the cylinder body (3), said piston (9) resting on a swash plate (13) by way of a slide shoe (11), with a pressure plate (14) loading the slide shoe (11) in the direction of the swash plate (13), and a hold-down part (16), which bears with a contact surface (18) on a counter surface (20) of the pressure plate(14) facing away from the swash plate (13). It is endeavored to operate the machine with as little wear as possible. For this purpose, it is ensured that the contact surface (18) is formed by a circumferential surface section of a cone, whose peak (19) is directed towards the swash plate (13).

Three engaging pins are planted on the inner face of the rear cover so as to surround the axis in parallel to the axis. The engaging pins are slidably fitted into pin holes formed in a back face of the valve body. This configuration enables the valve body to move in the direction of the axis to bring the sliding faces into close contact with each other, and enables the valve body to oscillate around the axis, thereby enhancing the compliance of the sliding faces and preventing leakage of a working medium.

Abstract: A rotary valve of a rotating fluid machine is constructed by bringing into contact, on sliding faces which are orthogonal to an axis, a moving valve plate provided on a rotor and a stationary valve plate provided on a valve body. An annular member pivotably supports the valve body by a fulcrum shaft. The annular member has a pair of projections at its two ends. The pair of projections are engaged slidably in the direction of the axis with a pair of guide grooves formed in a rear cover. When the valve body is pressed in the direction of the axis to bring the sliding faces into close contact with each other, the pair of projections receive a uniform frictional resistance from the guide grooves, so that the annular member is prevented from inclining off a plane orthogonal to the axis. Therefore, the compliance of the sliding faces can be secured to prevent a working medium from leaking and to suppress uneven wear of the sliding faces.

  • Patent number: 6705841
Abstract: A variable displacement piston compressor comprising a housing and a shaft supported within the housing for rotational movement about an axis. The shaft includes a stepped down portion defining a reduced diameter within the shaft. A pin extends generally outward from the shaft and includes a distal end. A sleeve is mounted about the shaft, is slidable along the shaft, and is rotatable with the shaft. The sleeve extends over a portion of the stepped down portion of the shaft and defines a radial gap between the sleeve and the stepped down portion. A swash-ring is supported on the sleeve and is rotatable with the shaft. The swash-ring is pivotably coupled to the distal end of the pin. The swash-ring defines an angle with the axis that is adjustable with respect to the axis. A biasing member engages the sleeve and biases the sleeve along the shaft.

Abstract: A piston engine in the form of a piston pump or a piston engine (motor) comprises two or more piston cylinders (14b, 14c), preferably positioned with the same angular distances of 180 degrees for two cylinders, 120 degrees for three cylinders etc. with regards to an axis, and each comprising a reciprocating piston with a projecting piston rod (18b, 18c). Via the piston rods (18b, 18c), each piston is given a controlled displacement matched to the controlled, given displacement of another or other pistons. The control means is rotatable and influences the projecting outer end portions of the piston rods or parts fitted to these, for instance rotatable rollers (20b, 20c). By a piston pump of this type, the pistons are to contribute to impelling a fluid flow, while a piston engine of this type shall be designed to be driven by a fluid flow. Operating conditions are aimed at which give a more even volume flow, i.e. without any significant fluctuations.

Abstract: In a fluid apparatus used as a compressor, a swing support member is constructed of a hook-type adjustable joint, and supports a swing member in capable of swinging while restricting the swing member from rotating about a center axis of a shaft of the compressor. A variable mechanism portion is constructed of a rotary member rotatable around the shaft, the swing member and the like. A slant center around which the swing member swings is made to substantially correspond to a center of gravity of the variable mechanism portion. Therefore, a slant moment, for changing a slant angle of the swing member, is not structurally generated. Accordingly, even when the compressor operates, large vibration and large noise can be prevented, thereby improving durability of the compressor.
