Abstract: Pharmaceutical preparations for oral administration are disclosed which comprise (a) an acidic non-steroidal anti-inflammatory agent having the mean particle size of about 100 .mu.m or less and (b) a protein hydrolyzate or a polypeptide having the mean molecular weight of 4000-12000. The pharmaceutical preparations are in the form of tablets, granules, capsules and dry syrups. They achieve high bioavailability of the anti-inflammatory agent, e.g., ibuprofen.

Abstract: A machine for wrapping cylindrical bales comprises an open-fronted wheeled frame for attachment to a towing vehicle, a roller extending transversely of the rear of the frame, and a pair of semi-rollers mounted at or adjacent the forward free end of each side member of the frame to be pivotal between an inoperative position extending fore and aft of the frame and an operative position extending transversely across the open front of the frame, in which position a bale within the frame is rotatably supported by the rear roller and the front semi-rollers. During this rotation of the bale, the bale is wrapped in stretchable film material by a wrapping mechanism on the machine, on completion of which wrapping the semi-rollers are raised relative to the frame to tip the wrapped bale rearwardly of the machine over the rear roller and onto the ground.

Abstract: A fuel pumping apparatus of the rotary distributor type is provided with a spill control muff on the distributor member and which controls flow of fuel from a bore containing the pumping plungers to a chamber. Slidable in the chamber is a spring loaded piston formed with a valve element which controls flow of fuel from the bore into the chamber through a spill passage. With the spill passage closed by the valve element deliver of fuel through an outlet takes place until fuel is admitted to the chamber under the control of the spill muff. The admission of fuel causing the piston to move the valve element to allow fuel into the spill passage through the spill passage.

Abstract: A case for the storage of single edged razors is formed as a unitary molding comprising a first tubular portion for reception of a handle of the razor, and a second tubular portion offset on one side of a plane including the longitudinal axis of the first portion for the reception of the neck and blade of the razor, the second tubular member being comprised of two portions interconnected one with the other by a living hinge. Abstract: A ceramic tile gauge for determining the shape of a space between a fixed tile and an adjacent fixed member and for enabling a tile to be cut to the shape of the space comprises a body member having an abutment surface thereon and a pair of arm members extending rearwardly of the body member. A pair of engagement means are slidably mounted one on each arm member to be selectively and releasably lockable to the arm members whereby, with the abutment surface engaging the fixed member and with the engagement means located and locked in operative positions on the arm members and in engagement with the bounding edge of the fixed tile, the abutment surface and a straight line through the engagement means define opposed edges of the space.

Abstract: A standard reference video tape, a source of a standard reference video signal and a source of a variable offset signal are adapted for use with a plurality of time base corrector units. Each unit is capable of playing a video tape to produce a corresponding video output signal containing various viewing parameters such as video gain, chroma gain, set up and hue, the viewing parameters having values which can be varied. The units have slightly different electrical characteristics so that when each of these units is caused to play the same tape at identical parameter values, the video output signals will differ from unit to unit. The referene tape is played in one of the units having parameter values preset for use with this tape, thereby producing a video output signal containing all parameters. The output signal is played together with the reference signal, the reference signal containing the same parameters but with different values. An offset signal is applied to the input of said one unit.

Abstract: A fuel pumping apparatus has a pumping plunger operable by a cam to deliver fuel to an outlet. A spill valve is provided which when open permits fuel to spill from the bore in which the pumping plunger is located. An actuating piston is located in a first cylinder and is coupled to the spill valve and a storage piston is located in a second cylinder connected to the first cylinder. A control valve controls the pressure in the first cylinder and when the pressure is raised the actuating piston lifts the spill valve from the seating and the fuel from the bore can flow into the first cylinder and when the actuating piston is displaced therefrom, into the second cylinder.

Abstract: An electric fence line for use in confining livestock is formed of strands of a high strength and high visibility electrically insulative material, which have been woven, twisted, or braided, together with at least one highly electrically conductive low electrical resistance metal strand, such as copper wire, and at least one high-strength metal strand of higher electrical resistance, such as stainless steel. The metal strands are oriented in touching relation, either continuously or at positions spaced longitudinally of the metal strands, the high-strength metal strand providing an electrical bridge between ends of the highly electrically conductive strand or strands in the event of breakage of the highly electrically conductive strand, whereby to provide electrical continuity in the fence line with only a minimal increase in the total electrical resistance of the fence line.
