Abstract: Disclosed is a device for positioning an injector in its circumferential direction so that a plurality of nozzle holes formed at one end of the injector connected at the other end to a delivery pipe in an internal combustion engine can be accurately directed toward corresponding intake ports respectively. The device comprises a clip non-rotatably mounted on part of the delivery pipe, and the clip includes retaining portions extending along diametrically opposite wall portions of the injector and having confronting projections adapted to engage mating holes bored in the diametrically opposite wall portions respectively of the injector thereby positioning the injector.
Abstract: This shipper is constituted by a movable platform (1) which is provided with a loading hopper (3) having a suitable capacity, from which platform (1) projects a support (7) for a bulk elevating system (9) which may be coupled to one of the ends of the hopper (3) and which in turn extends into another discharge tube (14), such that these tubes, when in an inactive position, are horizontally folded on each other, while when in a working position they form an angle capable of overcoming obstacles of considerable height and width and the discharge tube (14) ending in a discharge nozzle (17) which may be pointed in any direction. A cabin (21) is also established on this platform (1) housing the control device of the assembly and the roof of which is provided with a support (22) for the bulk elevating system (9) and the discharge tube (14), when the latter are inactive or when the assembly is being transported.
Abstract: A control system for an automatic transmission apparatus for vehicle in which, when an instruction signal to start a speed shift is generated, the engaging force of one engaging element to be released is controlled so that the rotation speed of the input shaft is regulated to be equal to a predetermined reference rotation speed higher that the rotation speed before the generation of the instruction signal and, after an effective shift is detected, the engaging force of the other engaging element to be engaged is controlled so that the changing rate of the rotation speed of the input shaft converges to a predetermined reference changing rate, thereby preventing simultaneous complete engagement of both engaging elements and accomplishing a smooth change-over of the torque transmission path.
Abstract: In a dry cleaning machine of type that includes, a cleaning chamber adapted for receiving an amount of articles to be washed and dried; means for supplying chemical solvents within of said chamber in order to carry out washing and draining stages of the articles; and, means to produce a flow of hot air within said chamber for drying the articles, a system and method for the additional recovering of solvents is provided. The system including, extract means connected to said chamber for extracting additional solvent from said chamber once the drying stage has been carried out. Condenser means to condense the solvent that has been extracted from said chamber, connected to the extract means to condense the solvent that has been recovered. And, conduit means connected between the condenser means and the means that supplying the chemical solvents for conduit the recovered solvent newly towards the means that supply the solvent.
Abstract: A modular frame for use in combination with one or more such modular frames has a ring-shaped member from which loop-shaped arms extend in a downward and outward direction, the ring having one or more support members extending therefrom in an axial direction for receptionin corresponding sockets in a sub-adjacent frame, in order to provide an assemblage that can be loaded with fruits or the like by an unskilled assembler having little manual dexterity in order to provide a fruit or gift basket requiring minimum time in the assemblage thereof.
Abstract: A Christmas tree stand comprises a lower, upwardly-open, downwardly-tapering socket for receiving the lower end of the trunk of the tree, an outer wall surrounding the socket and a top wall of a resilient plastics material capping the outer wall. A central aperture is formed through the top wall to overlie the socket and of a diameter substantially equal to that of the smallest trunk to be received within the stand, a plurality of substantially radial slots being formed in the top wall to define a plurality of leaves each of generally truncated sector shape and resiliently yieldable on the insertion therethrough and withdrawal therefrom of the trunk.
Abstract: A method and device for determining and controlling the condition of a spark ignition internal combustion engine involves detecting a physical value of combustion varying in association with combustion in the combustion chamber, then calculating the heat evolution rate from the physical value, and then determining the adjusting the combustion condition in dependence on the falling area of the heat evolution rate.
Abstract: A Diesel engine exhaust particulate purging apparatus includes sensors (11a, 11b) for detecting the quantity of particulates accumulating in a trap (2), a temperature sensor (10) disposed on the upstream side of the trap for measuring the temperature of exhaust gas flowing into the trap (2), and a control device (12) for controlling current supply to an electric heater (8) and for controlling an open--close operation of a bypass control valve on the basis of output signals from the accumulated quantity detecting means (11a, 11b) and the temperature sensor (10).
Abstract: A vehicle comprising a chassis and slidable vacuum apparatus mounted on the chassis and arranged for slidable vacuum seal engagement with a support surface.
Abstract: A device for attaching a lifting mechanism to a container provided with an aperture through its end wall comprises a probe member secured to the lifting mechanism and including a head portion for location through the aperture in the end wall of the container, and having a surface for abutting a region of the inner face of the end wall bounding the aperture. The probe member further includes a body portion projecting from the container and provided with a surface which abuts a substantially diametrically opposed region of the outer face of the end wall bounding the aperture. On raising the lifting mechanism, the probe member engages the underside of the upper bounding wall of the aperture and is retained in this operative position by co-operation between the surfaces on the head and body portions with the surfaces on the inner and outer faces of the end wall of the container respectively.
