Abstract: A method and a system is disclosed for providing access in a centralized manner to a communications medium that is suitable for allowing use of a plurality of Home Phoneline Network Association (HPNA) v2 frames. A plurality of messages are transmitted between a first enhanced station and a second enhanced station. Each transmitted message is transmitted in an enhanced frame that has timing to allow an Inter-Frame Gap (IFG). A blocking signal, such as a sine wave signal and a cosine wave signal, is transmitted during at least one IFG between enhanced frames to mask the presence of the IFG to a non-enhanced STA. Alternatively, the blocking signal can be transmitted during at least one reply message. Contention-free access to the communications medium is also provided by transmitting messages in a highest priority level available in an HPNA v2 frame.

Abstract: A radiation detecting cassette and a radiation image capturing system. A radiation detecting cassette has a radiation detector for detecting a radiation having passed through a patient and converting the detected radiation into radiation image data, a transceiver for transmitting the radiation image data by way of wireless communications, a cassette controller for controlling the radiation detector and the transceiver, a power supply for energizing the radiation detector and the transceiver, and a remaining power supply power level detector for detecting a remaining power level RC [%] of the power supply. The cassette controller includes a data transmission and reception controller. The cassette controller stops transmitting the radiation image data by way of wireless communications and prioritizes the capturing of a radiation image when the detected remaining power level of the power supply is smaller than a predetermined threshold.

Abstract: A method of easily detecting a slight percentage of seeds contaminated with a seed-transmissible pathogen as mixed in among a large number of seeds is provided. The method comprises placing a substratum for germination with seeds disposed thereon in a hermetic container, adding an extractant to the hermetic container after germination of the seeds, mixing up the seedlings resulting from germination of the seeds, the germination substratum and the extractant with stirring and/or pressing, and using the mixed liquid derived therefrom as a test material for detecting pathogenic bacteria possibly occurring therein.

Abstract: An image capturing system includes a cassette having a radiation detector, an image memory, and a cassette controller, an image capturing apparatus, a display device, and a host computer. The cassette controller comprises a capacity value transmitter for transmitting a capacity value of the radiation image information to the host computer before transmission process, and an image transmitter for transmitting the radiation image information. The host computer comprises an indicator controller for controlling the display device to display an indicator representing the capacity value received from the cassette as the upper limit, and a bar controller for controlling the display device to display a bar moving toward the indicator and having a length corresponding to the received capacity value of the radiation image information while the radiation image information is being received.

Abstract: The present invention provides an ink set for inkjet recording which has excellent resistance to light and can prevent image blurring and image deformation due to cracks or the like, wherein the ink set includes: a first liquid including a water soluble organic solvent, water and a pigment dispersed therein, in which an average particle diameter of the pigment is from 5 nm to 50 nm and a monodispersity of the pigment is 1.5 or less; and a second liquid which includes a component that can reduce a pH of the first liquid to less than 7 when contacted with the first liquid and can transform the first liquid from a region in which the dispersion of the pigment particles is stable to a region in which the dispersion of the pigment particles is unstable. The invention also provides a method of image recording using the ink set for inkjet recording.
