  • Patent number: 7752331
Abstract: A system for providing information to users and for managing and routing requests from users. The information delivery system is preferably a platform independent application, which enables users to receive responses based upon on-demand, scheduled or event driven requests or triggers. On-demand requests are those that a user sends and, some time later, receives a response with the requested information. Scheduled requests are those provided to users who subscribe to a service offering. On a set schedule, information is sent to the user based upon the information desired and criteria selected. Event driven responses are generated based upon certain criteria or thresholds being met. For each of the above types of requests, the responses may be formatted in plain text, Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) or other format depending upon the requestor device type or the subscriber's specified e-mail client.

  • Patent number: 7737427
Abstract: A signal detector detects signals transmitted from signal generators disposed in a radiation detecting cassette, and a distance calculator calculates the distance between a radiation source and a radiation detector based on the signals detected by the signal detector. A determining unit determines whether the detected distance matches a predetermined distance from the radiation source to the radiation detector when a radiation image is captured. If the detected distance does not match the predetermined distance, the determining unit outputs, to a warning unit, a warning signal indicating that the detected distance does not match the predetermined distance, and also outputs a control signal for equalizing the detected distance with the predetermined distance, to a radiation source movement controller.

  • Patent number: 7729352
Abstract: A flow in a network is identified and handled by using a virtual host address. A packet is received at a switch with a first virtual host address as its destination address. If the packet is the first packet of a flow received by the switch, then a second virtual host address is determined by the switch. The first virtual host address is stored in a packet forwarding table correlated with the second virtual host address. A subsequently received packet of the same flow has the same first virtual host address as its destination address, and is forwarded to the second virtual host address in accordance with the packet forwarding table.
