  • Patent number: 3979681
Abstract: A solid state timepiece having a chain of series connected counters with clock pulses being applied to the first counter in the chain. A reset system is responsive to reset signals and is coupled to the counters for selective resetting of the counters upon application of predetermined reset signals. A decoder system independent of the resetting of the counters detects the state of the reset signals during a predetermined time duration and produces a control signal upon application of selected reset signal states. A control system provides internal control of the timepiece only upon application of the control signal.

  • Patent number: 3977649
Abstract: A normally closed solenoid operated valve assembly having a poppet movable between a valve normally closed position seating in and closing in orifice and a valve normally open position. A movable armature has a reduced section for engaging and pulling the poppet to the open position. A range spring tends to bias the poppet closed until the upstream force of fluid is sufficient to overcome the spring force. The spring force may be adjusted to vary to a predetermined value the upstream force of fluid. To open the valve, a solenoid is energized to move the armature thereby to move the poppet to the open position.

  • Patent number: 3977641
Abstract: A hanger fitting usually made of metal includes two spaced, substantially parallel and planar rigid portions joined by at least two transverse portions. The planar portions have a first pair of threaded apertures formed generally perpendicular to the planes adapted to be engaged by a first corresponding pair of set screws for engaging a tongue or other member to which it is to be mounted. The transverse portions include a second pair of threaded apertures disposed generally transverse to the first pair and being adapted to be engaged by a second corresponding pair of set screws. Both pairs of set screws engage the tongue to which the fitting is to be mounted thereby to prevent movement of the fitting with respect to said member in two mutually perpendicular directions. The parallel portions also have a lower part adapted to be coupled to a signal assembly, or the like.

  • Patent number: 3976345
Abstract: A depository to permit insertion and storage of articles as well as to protect the inserted articles from unauthorized removal. The depository includes a chest structure defining an interior chamber with closing means to prevent external access and secured to the outer face of the closing means is a lock enclosure housing having a through passage aligned with the bore of a bar member secured to the chest. A bar lock is movable within the passage and insertable into that bore. A portion of the closing means extends external to the outer face thereof and provides at least a partial cover for the lock enclosure housing.

  • Patent number: 3974000
Abstract: A semi-hard magnetic alloy is disclosed consisting essentially of 15 to 30% of Ni, 35 to 52% of Fe, 1 to 5% of Nb and the balance cobalt. This alloy possesses a coercive force (Hc) of 10 to 50 Oe, a magnetic flux density (B.sub.100) of 10 to 17.5 KG., a squareness ratio (Br/B.sub.100) of not less than 0.70 and a fullness ratio of not less than approximately 0.70. The alloy material is also characterized by a good plastic workability.

  • Patent number: 3936775
Abstract: A multicavity waveguide filter in which each of the cavities has a pair of orthogonally related modes of propagation. The cavities are positioned side by side with the long axis of each of the cavities being aligned parallel to each other. The cavities are tuned by tuning plungers which are simultaneously moved to predetermined positions within the cavity.
