Abstract: A plastic container lid is adapted for removable attachment to a container. The lid comprises spaced inner and outer peripheral walls defining between them a substantially annular sealing seat for a lid retaining ring carried by the container. The outer wall of the lid defines inwardly-positioned projection means to engage the retaining ring of the container, to facilitate retention of the lid on the container. The outer peripheral wall defines at least one circumferentially extending line of tearing weakness to permit separation of at least some of the inwardly positioned projection means from the remainder of the lid. The lid outer wall defines one or more apertures or recesses to provide access to a pry member, to allow prying of the lid away from its retention on a container while causing the line of weakness to tear, permitting removal of the lid and at least partial separation of the projection means from the lid.
Abstract: A method or the treatment and diagnosis of tumors is disclosed. This method comprises the administration of an effective amount of a radiohalogenated pyrimidine nucleoside to the tumor affected site.

Abstract: Process for the manufacture of a polyester masterbatch containing finely divided solid additives in homogenous and agglomerate-free distribution, through the mixing, within a homogenizing extruder, of the powdery additive into the polyester, whereby, separately from the addition of the additive, small quantities of a diol are additionally fed into the extruder.
Abstract: An improved coping construction is comprised of a precast element attached to a retaining wall. The retaining wall and precast element serve as a portion of the form for a cast in place portion of the coping construction.
Abstract: Two-wheeled vehicle parts in accordance with the present invention includes: a first cover having a functional element therein and having a cross-section of a shape to cover the functional element, a second cover corresponding to the first cover so that an end surface of the second cover can be engaged with that of the first cover, and having a cross-section of a shape to cover the functional element, and a projection formed on either the end surface of the first cover or that of the second cover. The first cover and the second cover have respective end surfaces connected with each other through the projection by ultrasonic welding.

Abstract: A thermal energy storage system includes a unique control arrangement to enable it to operate in three steady state operational modes, namely, ice making, direct cooling and shift cooling, as well as two transitory modes, namely hypermigration and pump out. The hypermigration mode enable the thermal energy storage system to switch into the shift cooling mode by desirably positioning the refrigerant charge in the ice module heat exchanger. The pump out mode is needed to move the refrigerant charge into the condensing unit in preparation for the direct cooling mode of operation from either the shift cooling mode or the ice making mode. The thermal energy storage permits the refrigerant charge to be in the proper location when each change in mode operation occurs.
Abstract: The ancillary heat pump apparatus of the present invention for producing domestic hot water generally includes a domestic hot water heat pump having refrigerant and water circuits which are operatively disposed at the proximal ends thereof into close array at the heat exchanger of the domestic hot water heat pump. The refrigerant circuit of the domestic hot water heat pump hereof has a heat exchanger coil disposed at the distal end thereof, and the water circuit is connected at the distal end thereof to a hot water heater. In the apparatus of the present invention, the distal refrigerant circuit heat exchanger coil is disposed into operative heat exchanging position, directly or indirectly, with a return fluid stream of a heat source. In preferred embodiments of the present invention, the heat source may be selected from the group consisting of (a) a space conditioning air stream heat pump, (b) a heating and air conditioning system, and (c) a hydronic distribution HVAC system.
