    Abstract: A device is provided for transporting hollow plastic blow moldings having at least one opening thereinto which device is particularly useful for removing hollow moldings from the cavities of blow molds. The device includes at least one gripper unit supported for axial movement toward and away from a blow mold, which unit has gripping means movable between a normal, retracted position and an expanded position. The gripping means are insertable within the opening of a hollow molding disposed in the mold cavity and are expanded to engage and grip the interior walls thereof. The device also includes means for adjusting the degree of expansion of the gripping means to ensure precise position control and to minimize damage to the hollow molding during gripping and transport.

    Abstract: An improved level assembly includes a generally rectangular level, an elongated generally rectangular blade, one end of which is pivotably secured to the level to permit movement thereof about an axis normal to the longitudinal axis of the level, a scale element having scale markings formed thereon for indicating angle degrees and a pointer element disposed for cooperative association with the scale element for indicating a specific degree of angle. Either the scale element or the pointer element is fixed to the level and the other element is coupled to the blade for pivotal movement therewith. The level assembly permits the user to accurately align workpieces at a predetermined angular orientation.

There is a temperature sensor coupled to the logic circuit for measuring the body temperature of the human subject. A solid state memory circuit having coded information command signals is coupled to the logic circuit for sequencing the logic circuit to take a plurality of temperature readings at a preset real time and to terminate the readings when the temperature has stabilized.

The housing is provided with at least two openings, the first of which openings is in communication with one compartment and is adapted for dispensing comestible products contained therein and the second of which openings is in communication with the other compartment and is adapted for the insertion of disposable waste material into the other compartment; the arrangement being such that upon the emptying of the compartment containing the comestible products, the other compartment is adapted to increase in volume as a result of the movement of the divider to accommodate additional waste material.

C., said melt consisting of 2-30% by weight of calcium oxide, 5-35% by weight of magnesium oxide, wherein the sum of calcium oxide and magnesium oxide will be 15-38% by weight, 0.5-28% by weight of aluminum oxide and 45-70% by weight of silicon dioxide, and wherein, to the melt are added at least 0.29% by weight of elementary and/or chemically bound copper, preferably 0.50-3% by weight, calculated on the silicon amount.

    Abstract: An apparatus for the continuous production of prefabricated insulating panels is provided, which includes a feeding station for a lower metal sheet and for an upper metal sheet, a rolling-mill train for shaping the sheets, a furnace for heating the sheets, a device for injecting expandable plastic material between the sheets, a joining unit for joining the sheets together and for holding the expanded plastic material in place, and a cutter for cutting the finished panels. The joining unit has two, link-type upper and lower conveyors for the sheets shaped by the rolling-mills, at least one of which is adjustable, so that the distance between them may be regulated according to the thickness of the panel, with the conveyors being arranged to revolve continuously around rollers which rotate about a horizontal axis. An article produced by the apparatus is also provided.The present invention relates to an apparatus for producing insulating panels and the panels produced thereon.

Most desirably, the support plates are composed of two plates, an inner and an outer plate which are detachably coupled together and which have the same outer dimensions as a single support plate. The outer plate is provided with an opening in the area of the lower end thereof and the inner plate is movable between an open and closed position relative to the opening of the outer plate.

The angle plate in cross-sections lies substantially within an imaginary triangle, with its cutting edge, supporting edge and locating edge passing through one corner of the triangle.

A filler material is wound on the lateral supports and is unwound therefrom to serve as wall panels for the wall partition. The wall partition has an extremely light weight and high degree of stability. It easily accommodates a wide range of room dimensions while affording a highly effective seal with the floor, ceiling, and walls of the room in which it is installed.

Apparatus are coupled to the bumper assembly and chassis for raising the front end of the chassis in response to movement of the bumper from its normal position to its retracted position and apparatus are provided for arresting the air piston arrestors in a relatively rigid non-compressible state also in response to the retraction of the bumper. The safety system is especially suitable for compact cars.

    Abstract: A process for the manufacture of sterile filtered blood-clotting products includes the steps of extracting blood from at least one donor, physically separating the blood to obtain substantially purified plasma free of cellular components, deep freezing the purified plasma at a temperature below about minus 22.degree. C. to preserve Factor VIII, thawing the plasma to produce a cryo-precipitate, enriching the cryo-precipitate by physical treatment and physically separating the cryo-precipitate from the thawed plasma. The cryo-precipitate is then dissolved in a buffer and is sterile filtered by means of a static filtration with an autoclaved filtration device at a pressure difference of less than 0.5 atm. An apparatus for carrying out the process is also provided.

    Abstract: A vacuum-actuated holding device is provided for securing an article having a relatively flat surface against a support having a relatively flat surface and which is capable of maintaining adhesion between the flat surfaces of the article and support for a prolonged period of time by means of an external vacuum source having a needle valve pin. The device has a rubber gasket positionable between the flat surfaces of the article and support in abutting relationship therewith. The gasket has an inner periphery defining a vacuum retaining area and a hermetically self-sealing, radially extending slit formed therethrough in which the needle valve pin of the external vacuum source may be inserted to communicate with the vacuum retaining area and to effect evacuation thereof. The slit is hermetically sealed upon withdrawal of the pin so as to maintain the established vacuum.
