  • Patent number: 4093206
Abstract: Folding device for roller rotating printing presses for folding a prefolded pack of sheets which is fed by a pair of endless conveyor belts underneath a folding knife in parallel direction of its feeding movement wherein at the arriving end and on both sides of the folding knife, a finger is moved into the feeding path of the pack of sheets so as to engage an advancing front edge of the pack of sheets. The finger is forcibly moved into rotation by a shaft which runs laterally beneath the endless conveyor belts whereby the rotation moves the finger in a working cycle above the lower plane of the endless conveyor belts and the finger runs slowly in direction of the feeding motion, but more slowly than the same.

  • Patent number: 4084998
Abstract: A device for gripping, pressing and depositing a tire core upon a raw tire blank, has a supporting cylinder which is shiftable axially and which consists of two rings located side by side and having parallel annular troughs upon their inner side. The annular troughs are airtightly covered by separate rings consisting of polyesterurethane or similar tough elastic plastic material with a high E-modulus. These rings have crack zones located mirror-like symmetrically in several radial planes; they are rigid against change in shape and cross-sectionally they are adjustable as toggle joints relatively to each other. The ring zones located closest to the ring center are swingable inwardly tongs-like in radial planes by increased air pressure.

  • Patent number: 4080807
Abstract: A needle and needle bed assembly for flat and circular knitting machines for making right-right and left-left knitted articles, includes at least one horizontally-disposed needle bed having a generally concavely-shaped upper surface which has formed therein a plurality of transversely-extending, generally arcuately-shaped grooves, and a plurality of generally arcuately-shaped needles, each of which is slidably supported within one of the grooves of the bed for movement between a push-out position and a drawing-in position, in which positions one end of the needles extends beyond a lateral edge of the bed. The needles are guided in the grooves such that the angle defined between the ends of the needles, as measured by the tangent thereto, and the vertical axis of the bed, decreases as the needles are moved from the drawing-in position to the push-out position.
