Abstract: Disclosed is a system and method for providing an effective means for making it easy to identify which holes in an interface plate are to be populated with probes and which are to be left empty. This identification of holes or apertures in a plate is used most commonly an electrical probe testing plates where a probe array is set up and inserted though the plate. The problem is that it is very difficult to double check to see if all probes are installed. With a two-tone color identifier (or other techniques disclosed herein) it is easy to visually or machine read the probe plate for probe installation errors. The method employs coating the plate with a colorant and ablating colorant adjacent holes, which are either populated or empty, the difference being easy to spot.
Abstract: A device for regulating the delivery pressure of gases includes a valve unit having at least one valve seat and a respective closure element displaceable along an axis with respect to the valve seat which is controlled by a diaphragm. The device further includes a first spring which acts on the diaphragm in order to subject it to a preselected resilient load. A second spring is selectively activated to exert an additional resilient load on the diaphragm. The device includes a handle associated with the first and second springs in order to impose selectively the desired delivery pressure value, between a minimum value and a maximum value of pre-calibration, the pressure value being proportionally correlated with a predetermined resilient load exerted on the diaphragm.
Abstract: The present invention particularly relates to a hand-held sanding machine with an outer housing (1), a tool shaft (2) and a brushless electric drive motor. In the present invention, the rotor of the drive motor is fastened to the tool shaft (2) of the sanding machine, and the stator (6) is positioned in the outer housing (1). The present invention also relates to a control method for an electric sanding machine.
Abstract: A label including a first layer having a first surface adapted to being printed on and a second layer proximate to a second surface of the first layer. The second layer includes two or more sections having a gap therebetween. Each gap in the second layer defines a fold-line section in the first layer. The second layer covers substantially all of the bottom surface of the first layer except for the fold-line section. Another aspect provides a label having a first layer and a second layer attached to the first layer and having at least two sections separated by a gap, the gap being discernible through the first layer.
Abstract: A circuit board tester that uses a dual-stage translation to bring a unit under test (UUT) into physical and electric contact first with a series of tall probes, then with a series of short probes. Initially, the UUT is mounted on a support plate, and spaced apart from both the tall and short probes. First, in order to perform a functional test on the UUT, a first vacuum stage is engaged, and atmospheric pressure translates the UUT longitudinally until contact is made with a first hard stop, defining a first position. At this first position, the UUT is in contact with a series of tall probes, and is spaced apart from a series of short probes. After a function test is performed, a second vacuum stage is engaged in addition to, and independent of, the first vacuum stage. Atmospheric pressure translates the UUT longitudinally until contact is made with a second hard stop, defining a second position.

Abstract: For monitoring production data, a grouping table in which machines are grouped into machine groups, machine components are grouped into machine component groups, chip manufacturing recipes are grouped into recipe groups or chip manufacturing parameters are grouped into parameter groups is used, whereby a considerable improvement in the comparability of the production data to be monitored is achieved.

Abstract: A guide wire for assisting in implantation and balancing of an orbital atherectomy device is disclosed. The guide wire is generally configured to be received within a driveshaft and cutting region of the orbital atherectomy device. The guide wire is sufficiently flexible to minimize trauma to the vessel walls is positioned within a patient. The distal end of the guide wire can include on or more weighted elements movable along the distal region of the guide wire to permit the balancing of an a rotating drive shaft and cutting region of an orbital atherectomy device. The guide wire can also include an atraumatic tip located on the end of the guide wire to reduce trauma to the vessels during implantation. Lubricious coatings are also provided to reduce friction between the driveshaft and cutting region of the atherectomy device and guide wire.
Abstract: A folder made from a roll of folder material stock. The folder has a front flap having a first top edge and a first width, and a rear flap connected to said front flap by a folder bottom, the rear flap having a second top edge and a second width. A slip-resistant portion is disposed on at least one of the flaps near said first or second top edge. The folder material stock comprises paper and a polymer material. A method of making the folder includes the steps of providing folder material stock comprising polymeric material, providing embossing dies in spaced, operable, mating relationship, positioning the folder material stock appropriately in the embossing dies, applying force to at least one of the embossing dies so as to decrease the spaced relationship, and deforming the folder material stock.
Abstract: A limited flicker decorative light-emitting diode (LED) string includes a power plug adapted to connect to an alternating current (AC) power source and supply AC power to the LED string, a first pair of LEDs and a second pair of LEDs, a plurality of LEDs electrically connected in series to form an LED series, and a plurality of rectifying diodes. The plurality of rectifying diodes provides full-wave rectification of the AC power to the LED series and half-wave rectification of the AC power to the first and second pair of LEDs.
Abstract: A nanotube array and a method for producing a nanotube array. The nanotube array has a substrate, a catalyst layer, which includes one or more subregions, on the surface of the substrate and at least one nanotube arranged on the surface of the catalyst layer, parallel to the surface of the substrate. The at least one nanotube being arranged parallel to the surface of the substrate results in a planar arrangement of at least one nanotube. Therefore, the nanotube array of the invention is suitable for coupling to conventional silicon microelectronics. Therefore, according to the invention it is possible for a nanotube array to be electronically coupled to macroscopic semiconductor electronics. Furthermore, the nanotube array according to the invention may have an electrically insulating layer between the substrate and the catalyst layer.
