  • Patent number: 7684592
Abstract: A real-time computer vision system tracks one or more objects moving in a scene using a target location technique which does not involve searching. The imaging hardware includes a color camera, frame grabber and processor. The software consists of the low-level image grabbing software and a tracking algorithm. The system tracks objects based on the color, motion and/or shape of the object in the image. A color matching function is used to compute three measures of the target's probable location based on the target color, shape and motion. The method then computes the most probable location of the target using a weighting technique. Once the system is running, a graphical user interface displays the live image from the color camera on the computer screen. The operator can then use the mouse to select a target for tracking. The system will then keep track of the moving target in the scene in real-time.

  • Patent number: 7679483
Abstract: A core for a reactor includes: a plurality of core members, each of which has a convexly curved side face that serves as a bonding face; and a gap plate that is interposed between the curved side faces of the core members and that is bonded to the curved side faces. The gap plate includes a flat plate and a plurality of projections which project from each face of the plate and each of which has a tip end that contacts the curved side face. The projections are formed at positions near the outer edges of the plate, which are distant from the center of the plate at which no projection is formed, and which are at equal distances from the center of the plate.

  • Patent number: 7677666
Abstract: A seat recliner assembly established at a hinge location between a seat bottom and a pivotally associated seat back including a base plate and an inwardly teethed and package supporting sector secured to the seat back and seat bottom, respectively and sandwiched together in selectively rotatable fashion relative to define a component receiving space therebetween. A shaft projects through an aperture of a rotatably slaved cam situated within the space. A pair of locking pawls with exteriorly toothed surfaces are displaceable to engage with inwardly teethed locations of the package supporting sector. A pair of anti-chuck pawls are selectively engagable both by the cam and with the locking pawls. The cam is biased in a first rotational locking condition to influence the anti-chuck pawls outwardly against the locking pawls.

  • Patent number: 7677594
Abstract: A seat assembly for supporting an occupant in a passenger compartment of an automotive vehicle. The seat assembly includes a seat back for supporting the back of the occupant. The seat back includes an airbag module, a frame, a trim cover and a plurality of straps connecting the trim cover to the frame. The airbag module has an inflatable airbag. The trim cover covers the airbag module, foam pad and frame. The trim cover has a first seam through which the airbag can deploy during operation of the airbag module. The trim cover has a second seam spaced apart from the first seam. The plurality of straps prevent stretching of the trim cover during deployment of the airbag and direct the energy associated with the deployment of the airbag toward the first seam. First and second straps of the plurality of straps each have a first end fixedly secured to the trim cover along the first seam and a second end fixedly secured to the frame. The airbag module is disposed the first and second straps.

  • Patent number: 7680673
Abstract: In a method for promoting the sale of real estate, a first dealer, such as an independent seller, may offer a commission to a second dealer, such as a professional real estate agent or broker, for the sale of a real estate property. The commission offer may be transmitted from the first to the second dealer through a computer server. The second dealer may also have previously determined a minimum acceptable commission, which may be posted on an administration environment or page maintained by the second dealer. If the commission offered by the first dealer is at or above the second dealer's selected minimum, and the real estate property is in the same general geographic location as the second dealer, then the listing for the real estate property may appear as a listing on the second dealer's administration page.

  • Patent number: 7678475
Abstract: Spin-torque devices are based on a combination of giant magnetoresistance (GMR) and tunneling magnetoresistance (TMR) effects. The basic structure has various applications, including amplifiers, oscillators, and diodes. For example, if the low-magnetoresistance (GMR) contact is biased below a critical value, the device may function as a microwave-frequency selective amplifier. If the GMR contact is biased above the critical value, the device may function as a microwave oscillator. A plurality of low- and high-magnetoresistance contact pairs may be induced to oscillate in a phase-locked regime, thereby multiplying output power. The frequency of operation of these devices will be tunable by the external magnetic field, as well as by the direct bias current, in the frequency range between 10 and 100 GHz. The devices do not use semiconductor materials and are expected to be exceptionally radiation-hard, thereby finding application in military nanoelectronics.
