  • Patent number: 5222672
Abstract: The present invention comprises a water spout for use in a bathtub, sink or the like and has at least one inlet and a plurality of outlets for discharging the water. The outlets are arranged in arcuate fashion and are sufficiently spaced to enable discrete streams of water to flow from the outlets. The outlets are disposed substantially in a single plane and define a central arc having an angle less than 180.degree..

  • Patent number: 5208043
Abstract: An adjustable sealing system for use in a molding apparatus is disclosed. The molding apparatus is used for applying a coating of polymeric material to the surface of a shell. The molding apparatus includes a molding surface and a seal groove adapted for retaining a seal. The molding apparatus is capable of receiving a shell and forming a molding cavity between a surface of a shell and the molding surface. The seal establishes sealed contact between the shell and the molding surface when the molding apparatus is closed. The adjustable sealing system includes a seal for insertion and retention in a seal groove of the molding apparatus, so that a portion of the seal extends from the seal groove to a selected height when the molding apparatus is open. A seal height adjustment means is disposed under the seal in the seal groove. The seal height adjustment means is capable of adjusting the height of the seal above the seal groove to correspond to a particular contour of a shell being molded.

  • Patent number: 5129804
Abstract: A mold for making bathtubes is disclosed. The mold includes a mold receptor and an insert attached to the mold receptor face. The mold receptor receives a shell which has a finish side and a non-finish side. The shell is placed in the mold receptor leaving a void between the non-finish side of the shell and the face of the receptor. The insert is attached to the face of the mold receptor to reduce the cross-sectional area of a portion of the space between the shell and mold receptor face. A male mold engages the finish side of the shell, sealably retaining the shell to the mold receptor. A polymeric foam material is introduced into the void between the receptor and the shell. The polymeric material fills the void and coats the shell. The molded bathtub is then removed from the mold receptor after the male mold has been removed. The insert is then removed leaving an area of reduced thickness and a periphery on the non-finish side of the molded bathtub which defines a lip.

  • Patent number: 4999535
Abstract: A surface acoustic wave (SAW) transducer comprises a piezoelectric substr, a pair of metal bus bars positioned on the substrate parallel to and separated from each other a preselected distance and a plurality of interdigital electrode fingers extending from each of the metal bus bars. A plurality of slots are positioned along each metal bus bar so that the bus bar metallization is reduced and the acoustic wave velocity is increased in the metal bus bar region.

  • Patent number: 4941133
Abstract: A SAW slanted array correlator (SAC) comprises a piezoelectric substrate, input and an output interdigital transducer deposited on the piezoelectric substrate, a reflective array aligned with the transducers, and an acoustic absorbing film disposed on the substrate between the output transducer and the reflective array. The input and output transducer are slanted at equal and opposite appropriate angles to each other. The reflective array is disposed on the substrate at an angle the same as the angle of emplacement of the output transducer. The transducers comprise a number of interdigital electrodes with varying periodicity, the periodicity being the same for corresponding portions of the two transducers. The reflective array comprises a number of shorted electrodes having a periodicity corresponding to the periodicity of the output transducer. The acoustic absorbing film has a non-uniform width with selected portions having little or no width.
