  • Patent number: 4410000
Abstract: Every pressure vessel is connected by the agency of a connection channel to a control chamber. In both connection channels a shut-off valve is provided. The control chamber comprises a spring bellows whereby a spring counteracts a pressure force acting onto the mean area of said spring bellows. A ring is arranged on a control rod which controls the position of said shut-off valves. Upon a pressure loss in one of the pressure vessels the control rod operates the shut-off valves into their shut-off position such that upon a later pressure rise in one of the pressure vessels these shut-off valves remain closed. This ensures that upon a later pressure rise in an undamaged of the two pressure vessels such will remain separated from the damaged one. This pressure control means is preferably used in a motor vehicle having twin tires such as a truck or bus.

  • Patent number: 4402472
Abstract: A winding and reeling device for an elongated, flexible member. A reel is connected to the outer end of a spiral spring. The outer end of the spiral spring is rigidly connected to the reel, whereby a gear is connected between the outer and the inner end of the spiral spring such that upon rotation of the outer end of the spiral spring around its center axis the inner end of the spiral spring rotates around the same axis, however at a slower rotational speed. The reel has smooth surfaces and comprises at no place any gear teeth. A rotation of the reel causes the rotation of the gear wheels of the gear, whereby two gear wheels having a different number of teeth are rigidly connected to each other and arranged on a common shaft. A further shaft is provided which carries two further gear wheels, whereby one gear wheel is rigidly connected to the further shaft and the other gear wheel is freely rotatable on said further shaft.

  • Patent number: 4381930
Abstract: In a centrifugal separator, in particular for separating light materials, such as grass seed, from an air flow, a whirl chamber is provided between a circumferential wall of the separator casing and a radially inner filter consisting of a louvred shell imparting a change of direction of about 180.degree. to the air flow on its way from the whirl chamber to the air outlet of the casing, thereby creating within the shell a counter-rotating whirl of air and material passed through the slits together with air.To separate such material from the air, the shell is provided with a vertically extending slot associated with an ejector rail adapted to remove the outer portions of the counter-rotating whirl and feed them back for renewed separation in the whirl chamber of the separator casing. The slits may then be given such a size that they will not be blocked up by the material or give rise to an increased loss of pressure, as the ejector rail provides for regaining the material passed through the slits.

  • Patent number: 4362116
Abstract: Flypieces are fed by a conveyor to a sewing station in a sewing machine which is operated by a sensor mounted a spaced distance in front of the sewing station to sew the flypieces to a slide fastener chain. The linear rate of feed of the flypieces by the conveyor is slower than the linear rate of feed of the flypiece and slide fastener chain through the sewing station by the sewing machine, and operation and termination of the sewing machine in response to the sensor is delayed so that uniform spacing is produced between flypieces sewn on the slide fastener chain.
