    Abstract: A continuous packaging sleever assembly and process for wrapping packaging sleeves about product groups. The assembly has a frame structure with a generally horizontal working surface, a transfer conveyor to move the product containers across the working surface, and horizontally movable flight bar structures connected to a continuous chain structure. The flight bar structures are constructed and arranged to be selectively movable in a generally perpendicular direction to the product transfer conveyor means and to separate the product containers into predetermined groups. A packaging sleeve transfer and placement structure is provided in synchronization with the flight bar structures for depositing flat packaging sleeves between adjacent flight bar structures and above the product groups. The flight bar structures simultaneously move the product groups and the individual sleeves thereon.

    Abstract: A mechanical plug device for sealing pipeline access ports having a small threaded inner surface. The mechanical plug device has opposing inner and outer circular plate members. The rigid plate members each have interiorly tapered circumferential shoulders of generally the same predetermined slope. The inner plate member has an inner surface, an outer surface, a central aperture and a central cavity extending inward from the tapered circumferential shoulder. The outer circular plate member has an inner surface, an outer surface, a central aperture and an outwardly extending structure from the tapered circumferential shoulder for movement into the central cavity of the inner plate member. The device further has an elastomeric radially expandable pre-threaded O-ring structure which has an outer circumferential threaded surface configuration. The O-ring structure has a V-shaped bottom cross-section defining inclined surfaces of a predetermined slope.

    Abstract: A dispensing and cutting mechanism for film or the like comprising a frame structure, means for holding a supply of film, an advancing roller structure for moving film from the film supply, means to drive the advancing roller structure, and a cutting structure mounted forward the advancing roller structure to sever a length of film. The advancing roller structure further has an idler roller and a drive roller which are mounted for rotation and in an aligned configuration to the frame structure. The cutting structure is comprised of a fixed bottom cutting structure mounted to the frame structure forward and generally in line with the idler roller. A pivotable upper cutting structure is further mounted to the drive shaft and is constructed and arranged to cooperate with the fixed bottom cutting structure.

Bulk bags and a hopper apparatus are transported to the construction site and utilized with a forklift and a mixer device. The hopper apparatus is adjustably assembled and is constructed and arranged to be hand operable to efficiently meter homogeneous predetermined quantities of the mixture out of a discharge chute. The premixed contents in the bulk bags are dumped into the hopper apparatus and discharged in metered quantities into the mixer device. A water dispensing structure is provided to discharge a predetermined volume into the mixer device to form mortar or concrete for use.

    Abstract: A bottom lock arrangement is provided for basket carriers having opposed end panels, opposed side walls and a floor structure. The basket carriers have a center wall disposed between and parallel the side walls to provide at least two side by side cells for the carrier. The bottom lock arrangement comprises at least one connector tab extending from the center wall, and the floor structure further comprises opposed first and second floor panels. The first panel is foldably connected to one side wall and the second panel is foldably connected to the opposite side wall. The first and second panels are sized to overlap one another and they further have aligned connector slots to receive the connector tab of the center wall. Center wall connector tab configurations and cooperating aligned connector and locking slot configurations in the first and second panels are provided to yield secure bottom locking arrangments.

    Abstract: Wheel scale assemblies and load cell structures are provided for weighing loads. The invention provides a low profile portable wheel scale assembly of a predetermined height. The scale assembly has a thin lightweight base structure and a cooperating load platform. At least one load cell structure having strain gauges is in communication with the base structure and the load platform at predetermined locations and configurations. A platform support structure is provided to distribute the platform load. A unitary shear load cell structure contacts the weighing platform and provides a structural weight bearing component. The load cell structure has a unitary symmetrical load cell body. The load cell body has a centrally spanning elongated, deflectable beam structure. Opposing lateral indented beam portions form a central stress isolation web for the structural support and weighing of the load. Strain gauges are mounted in predetermined orientations to the parallel lateral beam walls.

    Abstract: This invention provides a sound sensor apparatus for reception of bio-acoustic signals from the body of a patient and for use with a medical diagnostic device. A sound sensing transducer is embedded in the containment structure to receive and convert bio-acoustic signals to electrical signals. A cable is communicatively linked to the sound sensing transducer for transmitting the electrical signals to the medical diagnostic device. The composition of the pliable containment structure material is a polymeric mixture substantially acoustically matched to the patient body. The sound sensing transducer is preferably a piezoelectric crystal transducer constructed of a composite material which comprises at least 65 percent by weight lead, at least 20 percent by weight zirconium, and at least 10 percent by weight titanium.

The electrical interface comprises a printed circuit board having the electrical contacts extended horizontally beyond the perimeter of the printed circuit board through channels in the plug end to expose the electrical contacts for efficient and reliable mating within the channels.

A third test circuit provides a tone signal of a predetermined frequency to the line conductors. The test device has a switch set, a current measurement section, a resistance section, a tone generator and a power source. Further provided is a method of testing a telephone loop by measuring loop current level from a terminated position and in series with operative customer premises equipment. A tone signal is generated at a first predetermined point on the line conductors for reception at a second predetermined point.

An article transfer mechanism is provided having activatable article holding structure and being in fixed rotational communication with at least one planetary gear to impart orbital motion to the articles being transfered. The device has a drive source and a synchronized advancing mechanism which is constructed and arranged to oscillate the center gear at predetermined times as the article holding structure approach as an apex position of travel.

The device has a signal averager with an input and an output. The monitoring electrode leads are connected to the input of the signal averager. An amplifier is connected to the output of the signal averager which has its output connected to the driving electrode lead to provide the correction voltage. The shield around the driving electrode lead is conductively connected to the output of the amplifier.

The control system comprises a speed sensor communicatively connected to the motor vehicle which outputs electrical signals which are a function of the speed of the motor vehicle. An acutation control unit is connected to the speed sensor. The actuation control unit receives the output signals from the speed sensor and has a control circuit for processing the output signals to provide electrical control signals when the motor vehicle attains the predetermined level and an actuator responsive to the control signals. The control system further comprises a linkage mechanism connected to the throttle linkage. The linkage mechanism is communicatively connected to the actuator so that the actuator controls the throttle linkage.
