  • Patent number: 7221238
Abstract: A compact superconducting filter device can easily change a bandwidth and a center frequency without changing a pattern or shape of the filter. A filter pattern is formed on a substrate made of a dielectric material. The filter pattern is made of a superconductor material. A signal input line and a signal output line are formed on the substrate so as to extend from a periphery of the filter pattern. An adjust plate is located above the filter pattern with a predetermined distance therebetween. The adjust plate is formed of one of an electrically conductive material, a superconductive material and a dielectric material.

  • Patent number: 7221628
Abstract: After the DVD-Audio (1) is set and a signal for automatic reproduction is read out, or after a signal for reproduction generated in response to an input operation by a user in an operating section (73) is recognized, whether image output on a monitor is possible or not is checked. When image output is possible, it is determined that the user can visually recognize images, the data based on the VCAP system is read and reproduced. When it is determined that the image output is not possible, it is determined that the user can not or can hardly recognize images visually, and the data based on the AOP system which can be reproduced without requiring any input operation in the operating section (73) is read our and reproduced. The processing mode for reproduction is automatically switched according to the user's situation, which insures the improved convenience in use.

  • Patent number: 7217346
Abstract: There is provided a water treating method which can not only improve an effect of eliminating microorganisms in water intended for cooking and drinking or waste water but also prevent a reduction in trace amounts of nutritional elements. In the method, at least a pair of carbon fibers capable of collecting at least microorganisms are immersed in for-treatment water, potentials of opposite polarities are applied to the carbon fibers, and the polarities of the potentials are switched at a predetermined time interval so as to adsorb the microorganisms on the carbon fibers. After the microorganisms are adsorbed, a positive potential is applied to one of the carbon fibers, and a negative potential is applied to the other so as to cause electrolysis. Then, an alternating voltage is applied to the carbon fibers so as to heat the for-treatment water and the carbon fibers.

  • Patent number: 7214085
Abstract: The present invention is to provide a cantilever structure connector without an extended portion of a main locking arm and provide also a locking feeling similar to that of a center impeller structure connector. When a male and female housings are connected to each other, rib protrusions disposed at inner walls of ribs abut to side protrusions and parts of side locking arms enter into between the main locking arms and the male housing. Accordingly, the main locking arms become temporarily a center impeller structure. When a center protrusion abuts to main protrusions, the main protrusions are subjected to a large downward force, or a large upward repulsive force.
