  • Patent number: 4672945
Abstract: A trigger release mechanism for use with an archery bow and arrow is disclosed. Within the body member of the trigger release is a trigger and a rotating member into which a drawn bow string is placed. The rotating member with the drawn bow string in place engages with the trigger release mechanism through a gear interaction. The bow string and rotating member are held in a cocked position due to on increased radius of one or both of these members such that rotation cannot take place in the gear interaction. Upon depression of the trigger the rotating member is allowed to rotate, releasing the bow string. The mechanism is further designed so that when the trigger is released by the user, the trigger automatically positions the rotating member back to its reloading position. A safety is also incorporated to prevent accidental release of the bow string by selectively preventing travel of the trigger.

  • Patent number: 4669932
Abstract: A keyless tool chuck is disclosed which may be used with most power tools having standard chucks. The jaws of the chuck are displaced and retracted by controlling the rotation of a threaded collar which surrounds the jaws relative to the rotation of the tool shaft and the jaws. This rotation is controlled by displacing a plate so as to control rotation of the collar in a first embodiment. In a second embodiment, rotation of the chuck collar is controlled by a clutch means, and in a third embodiment the rotation of the chuck collar is controlled relative to the jaws by means of vanes which are inserted into a grooved cylinder attached to the chuck collar.

  • Patent number: 4667856
Abstract: A dispenser for attachment to liquid containers is disclosed which allows a contained liquid to be dispensed by pumping rather than pouring from the container, having a top cylinder containing a pump which is located over a mouth of the container, so that the mouth of the container contacts a gasket of relatively large surface area, and further having a base member pivotally attached to a top cylinder which is pivoted underneath the container to force the mouth of the container against the gasket to provide a seal. The relatively large surface area of the gasket and the design of the base member allow the device to be used with containers of varying size, and the seal achieved thereby allows pump of simple design to be incorporated.

  • Patent number: 4662594
Abstract: A tray for use with ladders having hollow rungs opening to the side is disclosed, with the device being supported by a resilient member which is inserted into the rung and expanded against the inside of the rung by applying a compression force to the ends of the member, which holds the device firmly in place. The particular means for expanding the member disclosed herein uses the resilient characteristic of the member to "lock" the device in place.
