Abstract: A diecasting machine comprising a movable and a stationary die half which, when closed, define a die cavity. The diecasting machine further comprises a filling chamber for receiving liquid metal, plunger, a slidingly displaceable inside the filling chamber and mounted on a plunger rod, for ejecting the liquid metal from the filling chamber and for injecting it into the die cavity, and a device for supplying lubricants for the plunger in the filling chamber. At least one pipe or one nozzle having an opening directed towards the plunger is fastened on the plunger rod. The pipe or the nozzle is linked with a reservoir for the lubricant via a supply line. A water-based releasing agent is sprayed into the intermediate space between the plunger rod and the cylindrical inner wall of the filling chamber in the direction of the plunger during a period in which the plunger is at its final lift position after the liquid metal has been injected into the die cavity.

Abstract: A metalloaluminosilicate composition includes an aluminosilicate composition having an aluminosilicate framework and containing at least one metal, wherein a substantial portion of the metal is incorporated into the aluminosilicate framework. A higher concentration of the metal is incorporated into the framework of the catalyst than is present at the surface of the catalyst.

Abstract: A seat system includes two backrests installed so as to pivot around a backrest axis in relation to a floor between a raised position and a folded down position, and a first belt locking buckle installed so as to pivot in order to retract, first connecting system between a first backrest and the first buckle so that the pivoting of the first backrest causes the first buckle to pivot between a high position and a retracted position, a second belt locking buckle aligned with the first buckle in a plane perpendicular to the backrest axis, the second buckle being connected to the second backrest by a second connecting system in such a manner that the first buckle pivots in a first direction when the first backrest is pivoted from the raised position to the retracted position, and the second buckle pivots in a second direction opposite to the first direction when the second backrest is pivoted from the raised position to the folded down position.
Abstract: A side rail is formed into a ring shape having its generally rectangular section that has an outer surface 3 formed with a pair of edge surfaces 5 of small radius, and an intermediate surface 6 of large radius of curvature formed between the edge surfaces 5. When the side rail is in the inclined condition in operation, each edge surface 5 can easily ride on oil film on cylinder 16 and allow the side rail 1 to perform smooth sliding movement on the inner surface of cylinder. The intermediate surface 6 efficiently scrapes lubricating oil on cylinder to form lubricating oil film of necessary and minimum thickness between an inner surface 17 of cylinder 16 and side rail 1. Also, the larger radius of curvature for forming the intermediate surface 6 provides a larger contact area to the inner surface 17 of cylinder 16 to improve wear resistance.
Abstract: A method for certifying and calibrating a multi-axis coordinate measuring machine includes the steps of loading a check standard into a means for holding of the multi-axis coordinate measuring machine; measuring a virtual location of each of a plurality of apertures of the check standard within a virtual coordinate system using a touch probe of the multi-axis coordinate measuring machine; measuring an actual location of each of the apertures and simultaneously verifying the accuracy of the virtual coordinate system of the check standard using an optical probe of the multi-axis coordinate measuring machine; and calculating a deviation between the actual location of each of the apertures and a virtual location of each of the apertures of the virtual coordinate system.
Abstract: A method for preparing an asphalt composition includes the steps of providing asphalt; mixing sulfur with the asphalt at a temperature greater than 200° C. to provide a sulfur-asphalt blend; providing a heavy aromatic oil; and mixing the heavy aromatic oil with the sulfur-asphalt blend to provide the asphalt composition. Polymers can also advantageously be incorporated into the asphalt composition.
Abstract: An apparatus for producing seamless plastic tubes comprises an injection head to which molten plastic material is fed by an extrusion device. The injection head has a plate-shaped distribution device 13a, 13b having an intake opening 20 into which the feed passage 17a, 17b for the molten plastic material opens. In the distribution device, distribution passages 14 extend in a star configuration from the intake opening 20 and extend perpendicularly to the axis of the injection head, wherein each distribution passage 14 has a straight radial passage portion 14r and three branch passages 14z which branch therefrom and which each go into arcuate passage portions 14k which, in the region of the periphery of the distribution device, communicate with the annular gap 25 of the injection head, with the adjacent ends at a respectively identical angular spacing, and they each introduce a respectively identical volume flow into the annular gap 25.

Abstract: An anti-rotation device for preventing rotation of a damper spring and an inner air seal in a stator assembly is provided. The anti-rotation device is formed by a lug positioned within a slot at a center of an inner air seal arc segment. The lug engages a slot in the damper spring and a cutout in a stator segment so as to prevent rotation of the damper spring and the inner air seal in either direction relative to the stator assembly.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method and a device for cleaning internal passageways within a component, such as a component to be used in an engine. The device for cleaning the internal passageway includes a first probe having a longitudinal axis and at least one nozzle oriented at an angle, preferably perpendicular, to the longitudinal axis. In a preferred embodiment, the first probe has two nozzles, both oriented perpendicular to the longitudinal axis, and offset 180 degrees from each other. The device further includes a second probe having a longitudinal axis and a nozzle in a tip end, which nozzle is oriented along the longitudinal axis. Preferably, the first and second probes are connected to a common manifold.
