Abstract: A semiconductor light emitting unit is provided which comprises: a support 1 formed with longitudinal side walls 15 disposed opposite to each other for forming a pair of light reflective surfaces 9, and a bottom wall 16 connected to longitudinal side walls 15 for forming a mount surface 3a between light reflective surfaces 9 to form a channel 3 by longitudinal side walls 15 and bottom wall 16 above mount surface 3a. Formed at either end of channel 3 in the longitudinal direction of support 1 is a vertical opening 18 which serves to directly communicate channels 3 of adjacent light emitting units when plural semiconductor light emitting units are lengthwise arranged, so that there is no lateral side wall 15 obstructing path of light radiated from LED chips 2 toward outside to thereby irradiate uniform light to outside along the longitudinal direction of linear light source.

Abstract: In a motor vehicle, a deflecting device (11) for an offset frontal collision for the motor vehicle is arranged in front of a front wheel (6). In order, in the event of a collision, to safely pivot the front wheel inward, the deflecting device (11) forms a kinematic chain, the coupling link of which is a deflector (12) which, under the action of a frontal impact, is pivoted to the rear and is displaced toward the outside of the vehicle. The kinematic chain is a slider crank mechanism comprising a swinging arm (13) which is pivotable about a bearing (14), a further bearing (16), a sliding guide (16) and the coupling link (12) which is connected to the outer end of the swinging arm at a pivot point (15) and is guided in the further bearing (16).

The tips of the second fan blades will be positioned at a distance farther from the fan hub than the tips of the first fan blades disposed, which when implemented in a turbofan engine will avoid coincidence occurrences.
Abstract: A device is made up of one piece, or two independent pieces, that can be linked with each other to make a unit. The anterior end of a drainage tube is introduced 2 mm into the anterior chamber of the eye while the rear end of the tube is placed in the scleral lake. A cover is a plane body slight in height and oval or oblong in format that is provided with four parallel cuts that create two girths. The said girths are used to retain the drainage tube below the cover, thus creating a curvature in it to form a concave inner surface and a convex outer surface.

The moving element includes first and second coils at first and second ends. A fixed element supports the moving element and includes at least one magnet magnetically cooperating with the first and second coils. In at least one mode of operation, an amplifier is coupled to the first and second coils in parallel.
Abstract: A direct vessel injection (DVI) nozzle for minimum emergency core coolant (ECC) bypass is disclosed. The DVI nozzle is used in a pressurized light water reactor (PLWR) having a reactor vessel with a reactor coolant system in which a coolant flows into the reactor vessel through a cold leg and passes through a reactor core prior to being discharged to the outside of the reactor vessel through a hot leg. The DVI nozzle, provided to directly inject ECC into the reactor vessel to cool the reactor core during a break in the reactor coolant system, such as a cold leg break (CLB) that may occur in the PLWR, is placed on the reactor vessel at a position horizontally offset from the central axis of the hot leg at an angle of 10° to 30° and is involved within a region defined above the central axis of the hot leg by a distance of 1.5 times the sum of diameters of the hot leg and the DVI nozzle.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a papermakers dryer fabric (C to G) adapted to carry a paper web on one fabric surface thereof and woven from machine direction yarns (1) and cross machine direction yarns (2; 6.1, 6.2; 15, 16) wherein the yarns (1, 2; 6.1, 6.2; 15, 16) cross over each other to create void volume (V.T, V.U1, V.U2) both inside the structure (T) of the fabric (C to G) and at the surfaces (U.1, U.2) of the fabric (C to G). The machine direction yarns (1) and the cross machine direction yarns (2; 6.1, 6.2; 15, 16) are interlaced so that virtually all of the void volume (V.U1, V.U2) is exposed to the paper web carrying and non-paper web carrying surfaces (U.1, U.2).
