Abstract: In a method for determining mass flow with a Coriolis mass flow measuring device arranged on a rotary filler, a correction value ?{dot over (m)} is ascertained, which is proportional to the RPM n of the rotary filler. This correction value is subtracted from the conventionally ascertained value {dot over (m)} of the mass flow. The corrected measured value {dot over (m)}corr is thus {dot over (m)}corr={dot over (m)}??{dot over (m)}.

Abstract: A security element has a housing assembled from two housing members, and an IC card placed between the two housing members. The IC card is a detachable part of a larger base card within which it is disposed in a recess and to which it is connected via bars provided with a rated breaking point. The internal contour surrounding the recess in the base card encloses a surface area which is equal to or larger than the cross-sectional area of the housing at the level of the seat. The assembly of the security element can be so carried out that the IC card is broken out of the base card only after the housing members are joined to form the finished housing.
Abstract: A power-augmenting gear structure for an electric car includes a low-speed and power-augmenting transmitting route additionally installed in a gear case, with an output shaft of an electric motor extending in the gear case. The gear case has transmission gears forming conventional normal speed transmitting routes with normal speed reducing ratio for running on common flat roads, and a low-speed and power-augmenting transmitting route to be used in case of moving up an upward slope or coping with a condition needing a large torque. Then the electric motor may be reduced in its size, weight and cost, without necessity of enlarging it to have a large power.

Abstract: An eddy-current actuated balancer includes a barrel having a locating wall at one end thereof; two balancing wheels mounted around the barrel and carrying a respective counterweight at the border, a washer set between the balancing wheels, an elastic ring and a lock ring and a pulsed magnetic field generator mounted on each balancing wheel. The balancing wheels, the washer and the elastic ring are clamped between the locating wall of the barrel and the lock ring. Each pulsed magnetic field generator is controlled to generate a pulsed magnetic field acting upon the associating balancing wheel during its rotation for inducing an eddy current that causes the associating balancing wheel to make an angular displacement relative to the barrel for balance adjustment.
Abstract: In a method for producing a three-dimensionally shaped object, (i) a solidified layer is formed by irradiating a light beam on a specified portion of a powder layer to sinter or melt the specified portion. Further, (ii) another solidified layer is formed by placing a new powder layer on the solidified layer obtained in step (i), and irradiating the light beam on a specified portion of the new powder layer to sinter or melt the specified portion of the new powder layer. The steps (i) and (ii) are repeated to produce a three-dimensionally shaped object. In the method, a gas is supplied to a mirror used in scanning the light beam.
Abstract: An orthopedic device includes a rigid or substantially rigid frame element having a first thickness and a periphery, and an overmolded portion surrounding at least a peripheral segment of the frame element periphery. The overmolded portion encases the thickness of the peripheral segment and interlocks with the frame element without fastener elements. The combination of the frame element and the overmolded portion are adapted to secure against an anatomical portion.
Abstract: The invention discloses the asynchronous photography for dual camera apparatus and processing the method for real-time forward vehicle detection. Image is captured by a pair of monochrome camera and stored into a computer. After the video pre-process, the edge information is used to locate the forward vehicle position, and then obtained the disparity from a fast comparison search algorithm by the stereo vision methodology. Proposed algorithm calculation of the invention can conquer the asynchronous exposure problem from dual camera and lower the hardware cost.

Abstract: A method of manufacturing a backside illuminated image sensor includes providing a start material that has a layer of semiconductor material on a substrate. The layer of semiconductor material has a first face and a second, backside, face. The layer of semiconductor material is processed to form semiconductor devices in the layer adjacent the first face. At least a part of the substrate is removed to leave an exposed face. A passivation layer is formed on the exposed face, the passivation layer having negative fixed charges. The passivation layer can be Al2O3 (Sapphire). The passivation layer can have a thickness less than 5 ?m, advantageously less than 1 ?m, and more advantageously in the range 1 nm-150 nm. Another layer, or layers, can be provided on the passivation layer, including: an anti-reflective layer, a layer to improve passivation, a layer including a color filter pattern, a layer comprising a microlens.

To produce the fluid mixture, the first fluid and the second fluid are made to flow into the third fluid line alternately. The invention is particularly suited for mixing fluids having different viscosities.

(a) In the case of an acceleration (a)?a predetermined threshold (a0), the vehicle is left uninclined to prevent the vehicle body from being unnecessarily inclined and rocked against a small centrifugal force, thereby to improve the riding comfortableness. (b) In the case of the acceleration (a)>the threshold (a0), a riding portion is inclined such that the inclination angle ?1 may become the larger as the acceleration (a) becomes the higher. This can reduce the load on the rider against the centrifugal force.
Abstract: A gland packing which is made of a material configured by windingly laminating an expanded graphite tape into a spiral shape. In the gland packing, ring-like projected parts are disposed on end faces of a die mold packing part made of an expanded graphite tape windingly laminated into a spiral shape so as to be integrated with the part. Ring-like seal members are brought into tight contact with the end faces of the die mold packing part excluding the ring-like projected parts in such a manner that the ring-like projected parts are projected in an axial direction beyond the outer faces of the respective ring-like seal members.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a ruthenium complex represented by the following formula (I): RuL2(NCS)2Am??(I) wherein L, A and m are defined the same as the specification, and a photoelectric component using the same. The ruthenium complex of the present invention can be used in a Dye-Sensitized Solar Cell (DSSC). Hence, the photoelectric characteristics of the DSSC manufactured with the ruthenium complex of the present invention can be improved.

Abstract: A device and method for preservation of an oxidizable substance, e.g. a liquid such as a beverage of which wine is an example, is described. In a first aspect, a device is described for controlling the delivery of a predetermined amount of inert gas into a container with a single opening such as a wine bottle at a pre-determined pressure, suitable for an efficient delivery of the inert gas, with a simultaneous displacement of the air present in the top space of the container or bottle, in a simple actuation. In a second aspect, an improved container or bottle stopper is described with simple features that allow easy and cheap manufacture significantly reducing the cost of the stopper. In a third aspect to an efficient and cost-effective method is described for the preservation of a degradable substances especially liquids such as beverages of which wine is an example.

Abstract: A pressure sensor includes a hydraulic path filled with a pressure transfer liquid and a pressure transducer having a pressure sensitive deformation body. The hydraulic path includes a channel which extends from a pressure input opening at least to the deformation body, wherein the pressure input opening is spaced a separation distance from the deformation body, and wherein pressure on the deformation body deviates from pressure at the pressure input opening by the difference of the hydrostatic pressure of the pressure transfer liquid between the pressure input opening and the deformation body.
Abstract: A light emitting device includes: a light source unit which has a first and a second LED which are connected in parallel and emit lights of different colors, respectively. The lights of the first and the second LED are mixed to provide an emission light of the light source unit when an operating voltage is applied. The light source unit further has a resistor which is connected in series to the first LED to make forward current changing characteristics of the first and the second LED depending on change in the operating voltage to be different from each other, so that a required luminous flux-color temperature property, in which change in a color temperature of the emission light is made to depend on change in a luminous flux of the emission light, is obtained while the first and the second LED are turned on by applying the operating voltage.
