Abstract: A capsule for administration to a ruminant, comprises two body portions of magnesium or an alloy thereof, pivotally connected for movement between a relatively small cross-sectional configuration in which the capsule can be administered per os into the rumen, and a relatively larger cross-sectional configuration adopted within the rumen to resist regurgitation. The pivotal connection between the body portions is provided by a resiliently flexible material such as rubber or silicone made electrically conductive by means of a matrix of conductive particles, for example carbon particles. The flexible material at least partially covers a surface of each body portion. When the capsule is in the rumen the conductive particles act as a cathode and the body portions as anodes.
Abstract: The invention relates to pyrrolidinones of the general formula: ##STR1## in which: R.sub.1 represents hydrogen or alkylR.sub.2 represents alkyl, phenyl or trimethylsilyl.R.sub.3 represents 2-thienyl or a phenyl possibly substituted once or twice with halogen, methyl, methoxy or a trifluoromethyl group. It relates also to a process for the production of these compounds and to the pharmaceutical compositions containing them.
Abstract: A high water based hydraulic fluid having about 95% water and a concentrate comprising a zincdihydrocarbyldithiophosphate, the reaction product of an alkanolamine, preferably triethanolamine, and a phosphate ester acid of the general formula: ##STR1## where R.sup.4 is hydrocarbyl, R.sup.5 is alkyl, each n is independently 1 or 2 and x is between 1 and 20, and optionally a polyalkylene glycol of molecular weight between 1000 and 100000.A method of preparing a concentrate is also disclosed.
Abstract: A mobile vehicle for crushing scrap metal, especially for flattening car body shells, has a crusher jaw mechanism (11) carried ahead of a generally conventional vehicle body (12). The jaw includes a press plate (55) above a platform (31). The car body shell (90) is loaded on to the platform by advancing the vehicle towards the body shell and driving the platform under the shell, and is then crushed between the press plate and the platform. The jaw mechanism may be carried on an arm or arms (13) which can be raised and lowered. Side plates (32) and a rear gate (80) may be provided on the crusher jaw mechanism to contain light scrap. The jaws may be tiltable, and may be provided with front fork tines (71) to act as an entry ramp and for manipulating the body shells before and after flattening.
