Abstract: The present invention includes a primary retainer pin having an internal secondary retainer pin operable to couple the primary retainer pin with an adapter for use with excavation equipment components. A removable tooth having first and second tooth sides is coupled with the adapter and at least partially covers the first adapter end. A central portion of the adapter defines an elongate slot which extends from a first adapter side to a second adapter side. First and second tooth sides include first and second openings, respectively, configured such that the first and second openings are aligned with an imaginary longitudinal axis of the elongate slot while the removable tooth is coupled with the adapter. The primary retainer pin extends at least partially through the first and second openings, and the elongate slot, to couple the removable tooth and the adapter.

Abstract: Various embodiments of a method and system for detecting unauthorized signatures to or from a local network. Multiple sensors are connected at an internetworking device, which can be a router or a switch. The sensors operate in parallel and each receives a portion of traffic through the internetworking device, at a session-based level or at a lower (packet-based) level. Depending on the type of internetworking device (router or switch) the load balancing mechanism that distributes the packets can be internal or external to the internetworking device. Also depending on the level of packet distribution (session-based or packet-based), the sensors share a network analyzer (if session-based) or both a network analyzer and a session analyzer (if packet-based).
Abstract: The amplifier device serves the purpose of broadband amplification of an electric input signal fed from a signal source. It has an amplifier input for feeding the input signal, and a broadband amplifier element. Provided for the purpose of compensating a source reactance active at a source output is an amplifier reactance which is active at the amplifier input and is determined by an input impedance of a current-reversing negative impedance converter. The useful bandwidth for the input signal is raised thereby.
Abstract: A telephony and video telecommunications distribution network (10) includes a broadband fiber bank section (32) within a digital loop carrier system (22). The broadband fiber bank section (32) receives video information from a stored video information provider (12) through a broadband asynchronous transfer mode switch (18). The video information is received in an asynchronous transfer mode cell format. The digital loop carrier system (22) receives telephony traffic from a telephony network (24) at a common control section (28). The common control section (28) passes the telephony traffic to the broadband fiber bank section (32) where it is converted into asynchronous transfer mode cell form. The broadband fiber bank section (32) multiplexes video asynchronous transfer mode cells and telephony asynchronous transfer mode cells for transport to an optical network unit (40) over a fiber optic communication link (38).

Abstract: A computer system or other electronic system includes a plurality of cooling fans configured to operate in parallel. The cooling fans are operated in a manner to decrease the operating time of a fan. The cooling fans can alternate in operation. Thus, operating time is more equally divided between the two cooling fans and the hours of operation and number of rotations of the fans is more nearly equal. In an embodiment to reduce noise, two fans run at a lower speed instead of one fan at a higher speed. In an embodiment, a fan operates with a reduced speed which maintains a desired operating temperature. In an embodiment a thermal table is stored in BIOS (basic/input output system).
Abstract: A system (10) includes a network (12) of the type used to interconnect computers, and a plurality of real telephones (21-26) which are each coupled to the network. A gateway unit (36) is coupled to the network and also to some other communication media, such as trunk lines (37) of a public switching telephone network (38). A virtual phone server (32) provides a virtual simulation of one or more telephones, for purposes of providing the system with the capability to function as an inbound call center and/or an outbound call center. A call manager server (31) provides overall system control relative to the gateway unit, the virtual phone server and the telephones. Several computers (16-19) may also optionally communicate with each other over the network.

Abstract: The combining of two technically contrasting functions of “safe stopping” and “braking by armature short-circuiting” is served by using two means for pulse inhibition to block the respective current valves in the event of a fault by interrupting respective supply voltages for driving the control valves of the upper bridge arm and those of the lower bridge arm. For the purpose of braking by armature short-circuiting, the stator winding of a three-phase AC motor is short circuited in the event of a fault, or else operationally, by virtue of the fact that all current valves of a bridge arm can be switched on, a voltage being provided for switching on these current valves via a logic unit when the respective supply voltage for driving the current valves of this bridge arm are interrupted by the means for pulse inhibition.
Abstract: A wireless tire inflation pressure measurement device is used to obtain inflation pressure information for a tire of a vehicle and a signal therefrom may be used for determining the location of the tire. An identifier may be associated with the inflation pressure information for each wheel of the vehicle. Tire rotation speed may be determined by amplitude fluctuations of a radio frequency carrier from a radio frequency transmitter rotating with the wheel. Differences in wheel rotation speeds during a turn may be used in determining the location of each tire of the vehicle. An antenna may be placed on each wheel toward the outer perimeter of the wheel and connected to the radio frequency transmitter. A radio frequency identification (RFID) tag and pressure sensor may be used as the wireless tire inflation pressure measurement device and a RFID pickup coil may be provided in each wheel well for pickup of the inflation pressure signals from each RFID tag on a wheel.
