  • Patent number: 5708244
Abstract: A safety improvement for a Motorcycles warning actuation switch. The hand grip commonly made of rubber or leather material incorporates a ribbon switch that encompasses a 360 degree area. The ribbon switch is preferably placed in the inside end of the hand grip. Normal hand placement on the hand grip will not actuate the warning device unless deliberate. The ribbon switch is a momentary switching device. As the hand grip is depressed or squeezed at any point around its 360 degree arc, the ribbon switch contacts are closed, therefore actuating the warning device, ordinarily a horn.

  • Patent number: 5698990
Abstract: A counterforce spring assembly for printed circuit board test fixtures is provided. A number of counterforce spring assemblies are provided in an array between the top plate and probe plate of the test fixture. Each counterforce spring assembly includes a support cup residing in an aperture through the probe plate. A compression spring resides in the support cup and provides spring-biasing of the top plate to the probe plate during the UUT testing cycle. Each counterforce spring assembly includes a circumferential flange to limit downward travel of the top plate toward the probe plate. Each assembly is small enough to fit between probe apertures corresponding to component leads of the UUT. The counterforce spring assemblies can be freely placed underneath the top plate to provide even spring-biasing thereof to prevent bowing and bending of the top plate which often causes errors in the testing of printed circuit boards.

  • Patent number: 5675958
Abstract: An operating mechanism for the seal jaw in a package wrapping machine has an operating arm with means along its length to alter the length of the arm between two finite positions. The arrangement is such that the operating arm for the sealing jaw in the package wrapping machine can be controlled so that it can open to a higher position for large packages and yet also open to a shorter position for less high packages, thus, speeding up the operation of the machine so that it can accept a greater number of packages for any given length of time.

  • Patent number: 5619943
Abstract: A portable watercraft having an improved cross-arm to pontoon connection is shown. The pontoon includes an attachment pad with a handle provided thereon which serves as the male portion of the connection. A cross-arm, with a downwardly curved free end, includes an aperture therein to serve as the female portion of the connection. A strap is connected to the cross-arm and routed through a strap aperture for routing through the handle and back through the strap aperture for securement to the cross-arm by a fastener. As a result, a cross-arm may be quickly and easily releasably secured to a pontoon to permit fast assembly and disassembly for ease of transport.

  • Patent number: 5611265
Abstract: A combination fryer and charbroiler food cooking apparatus is provided. The food basket is slideably mounted to a centering rod mounted to a cooking oil container. The basket is moveable from a lower frying position to an upper spinning and/or charbroiling position. In the upper position, the basket is spun about its central axis to spin out unwanted excess fat, oil and grease. The food basket accommodates an insert food support for receiving a charbroil cover which includes charbroiling cooking elements. Upon installation of a charbroil cover, the charbroiling elements are positioned between upstanding food items residing in the insert food support. As a result, effective frying, charbroiling and removal of fat can be achieved.
