Abstract: A drill guide apparatus for lens workpieces, having a substantially C-shaped base and threaded screw member, is provided. The drill guide apparatus includes a threaded aperture through the C-shaped base member for receiving the threaded screw member to clamp the drill guide apparatus to a lens workpiece. The screw member includes an axial bore through its entire length. An exit aperture is provided on an opposing side of the C-shaped base member for aligning the drill guide apparatus on a pre-marked spot on the lens workpiece. With the drill guide apparatus clamped in place, accurate drilling can be achieved without damaging the workpiece.
Abstract: A safety improvement for a Motorcycles warning actuation switch. The hand grip commonly made of rubber or leather material incorporates a ribbon switch that encompasses a 360 degree area. The ribbon switch is preferably placed in the inside end of the hand grip. Normal hand placement on the hand grip will not actuate the warning device unless deliberate. The ribbon switch is a momentary switching device. As the hand grip is depressed or squeezed at any point around its 360 degree arc, the ribbon switch contacts are closed, therefore actuating the warning device, ordinarily a horn.
Abstract: A counterforce spring assembly for printed circuit board test fixtures is provided. A number of counterforce spring assemblies are provided in an array between the top plate and probe plate of the test fixture. Each counterforce spring assembly includes a support cup residing in an aperture through the probe plate. A compression spring resides in the support cup and provides spring-biasing of the top plate to the probe plate during the UUT testing cycle. Each counterforce spring assembly includes a circumferential flange to limit downward travel of the top plate toward the probe plate. Each assembly is small enough to fit between probe apertures corresponding to component leads of the UUT. The counterforce spring assemblies can be freely placed underneath the top plate to provide even spring-biasing thereof to prevent bowing and bending of the top plate which often causes errors in the testing of printed circuit boards.

Abstract: An operating mechanism for the seal jaw in a package wrapping machine has an operating arm with means along its length to alter the length of the arm between two finite positions. The arrangement is such that the operating arm for the sealing jaw in the package wrapping machine can be controlled so that it can open to a higher position for large packages and yet also open to a shorter position for less high packages, thus, speeding up the operation of the machine so that it can accept a greater number of packages for any given length of time.

Abstract: A article with interior interrupted threads and a mold apparatus for manufacturing the same is provided. The molded article includes an aperture positioned completely therethrough as defined by an inner wall. The inner aperture wall carries a series of thread segments positioned about the periphery of the inner wall to form an interrupted helical thread line. The thread segments create a female threaded aperture through the molded article for receipt of a male threaded member therein. The mold apparatus includes an upper half and a lower half. The upper half carries a cylindrical wall which is notched with its upper edge being beveled outwardly. The bottom half also carries a cylindrical wall which is notched as well as beveled outwardly.
Abstract: A multi-purpose adapter for ladders is provided. A support linkage member carries two clamping members for engaging and securing the ladder adapter to a rung of a ladder. The support linkage member also carries left and right L-shaped base linkage members, left and right intermediate linkage members connected, respectively, to the L-shaped base linkage members as well as left and right terminal linkage members of L-shape which are connected to the left and right intermediate linkage members, respectively. Each of the linkage members can be pivoted relative to one another and secured in place to form a customized interface to a support work surface on which a ladder is desired to be leaned.
Abstract: A coating composition for ink jet recording sheets, which includes a combination of hydrated amorphous synthetic silica, a synthetic binder, a cationic agent, a leveling-flow modifier, a dispersing agent, an optical brightener, and the remainder being water, is provided. The composition achieves superior brilliance, water fastness, water resistance and improved controlled absorbency of the ink with improved color density.

Abstract: A portable watercraft having an improved cross-arm to pontoon connection is shown. The pontoon includes an attachment pad with a handle provided thereon which serves as the male portion of the connection. A cross-arm, with a downwardly curved free end, includes an aperture therein to serve as the female portion of the connection. A strap is connected to the cross-arm and routed through a strap aperture for routing through the handle and back through the strap aperture for securement to the cross-arm by a fastener. As a result, a cross-arm may be quickly and easily releasably secured to a pontoon to permit fast assembly and disassembly for ease of transport.
Abstract: A flexible magnetic sheet is made of a rubbery synthetic material in which magnetic ferrite particles have been embedded and which one surface of the sheet has a grid pattern of ridges and depressions. The magnetic material is magnetized so that one pole is one each surface. The magnetic lines of force are generated substantially in a plane.

Abstract: A combination fryer and charbroiler food cooking apparatus is provided. The food basket is slideably mounted to a centering rod mounted to a cooking oil container. The basket is moveable from a lower frying position to an upper spinning and/or charbroiling position. In the upper position, the basket is spun about its central axis to spin out unwanted excess fat, oil and grease. The food basket accommodates an insert food support for receiving a charbroil cover which includes charbroiling cooking elements. Upon installation of a charbroil cover, the charbroiling elements are positioned between upstanding food items residing in the insert food support. As a result, effective frying, charbroiling and removal of fat can be achieved.
Abstract: A seal wire heat control system for sealing thermoplastic film as adapted to control the duration of heat impulses applied to the sealing wire by remembering the past history of the sealing machine. The application of power to the sealing wire is provided by a series of power impulses, the duration of which is shortened incrementally as the apparatus continues to run and is lengthened incrementally when the apparatus sits at rest.
Abstract: An eye assembly for a fly-tie fishing lure is disclosed. A pair of eye sockets are provided with a central mounting rod connecting the two sockets together. Each socket includes an eye socket barrel having a convex free surface with a groove pattern therein and a relief pattern thereon for receipt of epoxy eyeball simulating material. The relief pattern may be a bead, star, cross or the like. The eye sockets with relief pattern greatly improves the adhesion of the epoxy of the eyeball material to each socket. As a result, the eyeballs are resistant to popping off and do not chip after excessive use.
Abstract: An insect repellent and insecticide formulation for repelling and killing insects. The formulation includes a volume of water and essential ingredients of acetic acid and a limonene, particularly a mint extract.
Abstract: An adjustable ear clip device for relieving pressure on the ear lobe of a wearer is provided. The adjustable ear clip includes a base plate with a pair of spaced ears connected thereto. An angled stop plate emanates from the base plate at a location adjacent to the bottom of a notch in the base plate. A mounting plate is connected to the base plate to receive an ornamental member. An ear engaging member includes a pair of spring-biased arms for engaging the ears. A spring tongue is positioned between the arms and has a stop bolt aperture therethrough. A stop bolt is threaded through the spring tongue and engages with the angled stop plate to limit the travel of the ear engaging member toward the ornamental member.

Abstract: An instrument display cap, which is capable of interchanging a display member without modifying the structure of the cap, is provided. The instrument display cap includes a tubular tapered body with a transparent disk, pocket and centering member arrangement pivotally positioned in the top open end of the tubular tapered body. A retaining ring, with a spring clip connected thereto, retains the transparent disk, pocket and centering member in place while permitting it to pivot. The transparent disk, pocket and centering member arrangement pivots open to permit the replacement of a display member, such as a photo, or the like, to be easily installed within the pocket. The pivoting arrangement is pivoted closed to display the display member at the top portion of the instrument display cap.
