  • Patent number: 5700044
Abstract: A door latch operator for retracting a door latch comprises a handle having upper and lower end portions formed with front faces attachable to a door and a vertical hand grip portion between the upper and lower end portions. The upper end portion is in the form of a hollow housing having a chamber therein. The hand grip portion is in the form of a generally U-shaped channel which communicates at one end with the interior of the housing. A lever for operating the door latch is pivoted in the housing and extends into the channel in the hand grip portion to a position where it may be squeezed and rotated from a withdrawn position to a latch retracting position by a hand on the hand grip portion. The handle and the lever are both solid brass forgings.

  • Patent number: 5701013
Abstract: The present invention provides a wafer metrology pattern integrating both overlay and critical dimension features for SEM or AFM measurements. The present invention provides an improved test mask target which contains lines measuring 0.25 .mu.m, 0.3 .mu.m, and 0.5 .mu.m. The spaces between the lines can be adjusted accordingly. The improved test mask target provides a pattern that combines the wafer critical dimension and box-in-box overlay targets into a single structure. As a result, the pattern may be used for both overlay and critical dimension verifications in a single AMF or SEM measurement. More precisely, wafer overlay and critical dimension disposition may be made simultaneously, reducing the need to perform multiple measurements at each testing step.

  • Patent number: 5694351
Abstract: A method and apparatus for determining the degree of membership in a fuzzy inference by using a subtractor and a divider without the need for a complicated multiplication, division circuit or software that is normally required in a conventional method. A fuzzy inference database for the degree of membership is first established in a microprocessor by a fuzzy inference method, the membership function in the fuzzy database has a range between 0 to 1 at full scale for the degree of membership function. When the microprocessor detects an input data, a slope distance ratio and the corresponding coordinates are determined and compared using the input data and the fuzzy database established in the microprocessor. The ratio determined by the greatly simplified method is the degree of membership function.

  • Patent number: 5689942
Abstract: There is disclosed an apparatus for use in a bag forming/filling/sealing machine for controlling the operations of a film transportation motor, an article feeding motor, frame driving motor and a sealer opening-closing motor, wherein rotations of the film transportation motor and the article feeding motor are controlled based on the rotation of the frame driving motor. The rotation cycles of the film transportation motor, the article feeding motor and the frame driving motor are determined based on a reference pulse which is generated by a crystal oscillator and inputted to a central processing unit. When a value of the length of articles to be packaged is inputted to the central processing unit, the central processing unit specifies a cyclic variable speed of the frame driving motor based on data stored in a memory.

  • Patent number: 5685794
Abstract: A transmission is disclosed which has an input power supply (53, 34, 328) and a plurality of secondary members which are driven by the input power supply. The secondary members can be in the form of pawls (344, 361) or rack and pinion arrangements (54, 56). An infinitely variable gear ratio adjustment mechanism which can adjust the gear ratio between a maximum and minimum ratio is provided and generally comprises a fixed inner eccentric (318) and a movable outer eccentric (320). The outer eccentric (320) can be moved to adjust the eccentricity of the eccentrics to thereby set the gear ratio to any ratio between the minimum and maximum. The pawls (344, 361) or racks and pinions (54, 56) are arranged on the eccentrics (318, 320) and are driven by the input for only part of each revolution of the input other than when the gear ratio is set as 1:1.

  • Patent number: 5682845
Abstract: An improved fuel delivery system, method and apparatus providing a hybrid carburetor and direct fuel injection system, utilizing the best of each for different engine operational modes to thereby meet emission requirements for small hand-held two-cycle engines using standard two-stroke gasoline and oil premix fuel. A diaphragm carburetor and associated diaphragm fuel pump operates alone to supply a proper A/F idle mixture sufficient only for engine power at start-up idle and off idle (light load). This engine aspiration carburetor fuel delivery system is operated continuously, and then at part (off idle-light load) and wide open throttle (W.O.T) the same is combined with operation of a direct cylinder fuel injection system, using a second stage pressure boost peristaltic type pump and fuel injector nozzle, that is engine self-regulated and driven to operate only at part-throttle and W.O.T. to thereby supply most of the engine fuel demand in these operational ranges.

  • Patent number: 5684733
Abstract: The present invention provides a fixed resistance sense-routed high density parallel ROM device for maintaining the resistance of a buried N+ region on a sense route constant. When data is read from a ROM cell matrix, the selection of different ROM cell transistors does not change the resistance of the buried N+ region on the sense route and thus enables a simplified design of a sense amplifier. The inactive select gate or transfer gate that is activated by the select line can be isolated by ion implantation for forming a buried P+ isolation and thus avoiding the narrowing or the cutting-off of the width of the active transfer gate or select gate due to ion diffusion.
