  • Patent number: 7633000
Abstract: A drum pedal assembly for connecting a first pedal to a support holding a beater arm may include a telescoping transmission shaft having yokes attached to shaft ends, yokes having bosses, universal joints rotatably attached to bosses and using trunnions, second yokes having bosses attached to universal joints using additional trunnions. The second yokes may rotatably attach a drive assembly rotatably attached to first pedal and an attachment arbor attached to beater arm to facilitate rotation of beater arm when first pedal is depressed. Configuration of assembly, including that of universal joints, may help reduce backlash or vibration in assembly.

  • Patent number: 7615544
Abstract: A method of improving cumulative embryo score may comprise administering an androgen to a human female, for example, DHEA, for at least about four consecutive months followed by harvesting and fertilizing oocytes and forming embryos. Between about 50 mg and about 100 mg of DHEA may be administered to a human female per day. Moreover, a method of increasing the quantity of fertilized oocytes in one cycle of in vitro fertilization may comprise administering an androgen to a human female for at least about four consecutive months, harvesting and fertilizing the oocytes. Furthermore, a method of increasing the quantity of day 3 embryos from one cycle of in vitro fertilization may comprise administering an androgen for at least about four consecutive months, harvesting and fertilizing the oocytes and forming day 3 embryos. A method of normalizing ovarian DHEA also may include administering an androgen for at least about four consecutive months.

  • Patent number: 7564222
Abstract: The present invention refers to a method for fast-charging a secondary battery and to a device for carrying out said method. Fast charging is achieved by converting a DC supply voltage into a pulsating voltage which is transmitted to the secondary battery to be charged. The pulsating voltage is lead to the battery in intervals of about 10 microseconds with pauses in between of about 100 microseconds and up to 10 milliseconds.

  • Patent number: 7536387
Abstract: A method for interfacing applications to maintain data integrity. A client service identifies new or changed data in a client application. The data is then posted to a core service in a transaction. Next, the client applications that need updating are determined. For the client applications that need updating a pending transaction directed to those client applications is stored in the queue storage. The client service for one of the client applications that needs updating searches the queue storage for the pending transaction. The client service then updates the client application that needs updating with the new or changed data.

  • Patent number: 7527242
Abstract: A storage facility has a frame having a pair of first and second opposed parallel spaced apart elongated frame elements. The frame members each include means for attaching the frame to a horizontal ceiling. A cable support element is positioned at each end of each frame member. An elongated rotatable shaft has a first end connected to an intermediate location on the first frame member, and a second end connected to an intermediate location on the first frame member. A drive mechanism is connected to the shaft to control the rotational position of the shaft. A number of cable portions each have a first end secured to a respective end portion of the shaft. Each cable portion has an intermediate portion received by a respective cable support member, and a free end extending downwardly from the support member. A platform is connected to and supported by the free ends of the cables, and operates to elevate or lower in response to rotation of the shaft by the drive mechanism.

  • Patent number: 7456351
Abstract: A drum pedal, having a drive assembly supported by a pedestal, may include a drive shaft, a rotatably adjustable drive ring, and a rotatably adjustable beater ring. In another aspect, a drum pedal may have a drive assembly supported by a pedestal comprising a journaled drive shaft, a rotatable bearing mounted off center of the drive shaft, a spring, and a biasing arm pivotally mounted on the pedestal, wherein the bearing and the spring cooperate to bias the arm toward a predetermined rest position. A linkage may operatively connect a foot board and the drive ring and may have means for selectively defining a connection to the foot board from one of plurality of positions. A beater may have a stem affixed to the beater ring. The beater may be actuated to a forward position when the foot board is depressed.
