Abstract: The invention relates to an intravascular stent wherein the intravascular stent has its inner surface treated to promote the migration of endothelial cells onto the inner surface of the intravascular stent. Particularly, the inner surface of the intravascular stent includes at least one groove. Methods for manufacturing an intravascular stent are also disclosed.
Abstract: A multiple height package retainer for a refrigerator door and a method for adjusting an adjustable height package retainer for a refrigerator door includes a shelf body and a retainer member. The retainer member may have a first position and a second position for holding packages of varying height.
Abstract: A bilateral intra-aortic bypass graft and method and apparatus for repairing an abdominal aortic aneurysm includes two tubular grafts which are intraluminally delivered to the aorta and secured to the aorta by the expansion and deformation of two expandable and deformable tubular members.
Abstract: A vessel occluder for providing permanent occlusion of a vessel in a person utilizes a flexible closure member attached to at least one metallic radially expandable, generally tubular shaped stent, the flexible closure member having a generally tubular shaped cross-sectional configuration.
Abstract: An aortic graft for intraluminal delivery to repair an abdominal aortic aneurysm is provided with at least one wire which is woven into the distal, or lower, end of the graft, which wire permits the distal end of the graft to conform to, and sealingly engage, within the aortic bifurcation region of the aneurysm.
Abstract: A method and apparatus for positioning a patient upon a treatment table of a linear accelerator includes a camera secured to the gantry of the linear accelerator and a plurality of light emitting diodes mounted with respect to the patient which are viewed by the camera.
Abstract: A method and apparatus for conformal radiation therapy, with a radiation beam having a pre-determined, constant beam intensity, treats the entire tumor volume of a patient's tumor, and the beam intensity of the radiation beam is spatially modulated across the tumor, by separating the radiation into a plurality of treatment beam segments and independently modulating the beam intensity of the plurality of radiation beam segments. The independent modulation of the beam intensities may be accomplished by selectively and independently filling, or removing, a flowable, radiation blocking material from a compartment associated with each radiation beam segment.

Abstract: An aortic graft, and method and apparatus for repairing an abdominal aortic aneurysm includes a tubular graft which is intraluminally delivered through the aorta and secured to the aorta by the expansion and deformation of a thin-walled tubular member.
