Abstract: A method for restoring the finished appearance of a damaged area on a painted surface is disclosed. An aerosol mixture of color-matched paint is sprayed onto the damaged area and onto the undamaged painted surface bordering the damaged area. The wet paint deposit is then contacted with a film of wax. The excess paint and wax are wiped away before the paint deposit becomes tacky. The cavity within the damaged area is substantially filled with a deposit of color-matched paint, without a noticeable transition from the restored surface to the original painted surface. Curing of the wet paint deposit is accelerated by contacting the paint deposit with a synthetic polishing wax which includes siloxane.
Abstract: A method and apparatus for performing stereotactic surgery upon a target within a skull establishes a first, predetermined geometric relationship between a positioning fixture mounted on the skull and a scanning table surface upon which the skull is supported; and that geometric relationship is duplicated in a phantom fixture.
Abstract: A method and apparatus for injecting radioactive tagged sand into fluids used in hydraulic well fracturing, or acidizing, operations, the fluids being pumped under high pressure into the well bore by a high pressure pump, wherein the radioactive tagged sand does not contaminate the high pressure pump, and the pressure between the high pressure fracturing fluids and/or acidizing fluids and the radioactive tagged sand is equalized, whereby it is not necessary to overcome the high pressure present in the system.
Abstract: An apparatus for automatically dispensing chemicals into the well bore of a hydrocarbon producing well utilizes a double acting cylinder and piston to sequentially operate a plurality of valves associated with the well. The handles of each valve have a spring steel tine secured thereto which engages with a portion of the piston shaft which actuates the operation of each valve.
Abstract: An expandable intraluminal vascular graft is expanded within a blood vessel by an angioplasty balloon associated with a catheter to dilate and expand the lumen of a blood vessel. The graft may be a wire mesh tube, having a biologically inert coating thereon.
Abstract: An expandable and deformable intraluminal vascular graft is expanded within a blood vessel by an angioplasty balloon associated with a catheter to dilate and expand the lumen of a blood vessel. The graft may be a thin-walled tubular member having a plurality of slots disposed substantially parallel to the longitudinal axis of the tubular member.

Abstract: An eye drop dispensing system for dispensing eye drops upon an eye of an eye drop user includes a single opening formed in a sloping wall surface of an eye drop bottle support, wherein the patient may insert his finger through the opening to retract his or her lower eyelid and to maintain the lower eyelid in its open position while an eye drop is being dispensed.
Abstract: A travelling valve assembly for use in a sucker rod actuated fluid pump includes a ball valve actuator which engages the ball valve during the downstroke of the sucker rod to force the ball valve into an open fluid transmitting relationship with respect to its valve seat.
Abstract: A fluid pump for raising petroleum fluids through production tubing in completed oil wells includes a mechanically actuated travelling valve, which is rotated via longitudinal movement within the housing of a travelling valve actuator member.
Abstract: A fluid pump for raising petroleum fluids through production tubing in completed oil wells includes two mechanically actuated valves, one of which moves longitudinally within the pump housing, and the other valve which rotates within the pump housing.
Abstract: An underwater hydraulic connector utilizing a cylindrical male portion inserted into a cavity in a female portion. The male portion consists of a telescoping inner and outer housing with a plurality of resilient seals mounted within openings in the outer housing whereby if the seals are compressed they will extrude beyond the surface of the male portion and contact the interior surface of a female portion so as to provide a sealed passageway between a set of ports in the male and female portions. The extrusion of the seal is accomplished by means of a bar which compresses the seal when moved longitudinally with respect to the outer housing. The bar is mounted on the inner housing. Relative movement of the inner housing and bar with respect to the outer housing is controlled by means of a piston and cylinder assembly and compression of the resilient seals is assisted by the external water pressure acting upon the inner housing to force it into the outer housing.
Abstract: A chlorine generator and method of generating chlorine gas includes anode and cathode compartments releasably secured to one another and separated in part by an ion-permeable membrane, and exterior chambers and fluid passageways cooperating therewith to provide circulating fluids to cool and dissipate the heat generated by the anode and cathode.

Abstract: A latching system for releasably connecting two conduits which includes a base member having at least one upwardly extending conduit and a locking plate supported thereon, and a latch support member including at least one downwardly extending conduit and having a locking mandrel depending therefrom. The locking mandrel is rotated via the downward movement of a piston within a cylinder, the piston having a spirally splined shaft mounted thereon which mates with a spirally splined surface associated with the locking mandrel, whereby downward movement of the piston and spirally splined shaft causes the locking mandrel to rotate and lock into engagement with the locking plate.
Abstract: An apparatus and package for liquid or granular materials includes two pivotally mounted dispensing blocks associated with a dispensing arm, whereby upon application of an actuating force to the dispensing arm, a resilient tube of the package is pinched shut by one dispensing block and the other dispensing block opens a slit diaphragm valve disposed within the resilient tube.
Abstract: An apparatus for dispensing liquid with a specialized refill including a flexible reservoir and mesh screen is disclosed. The apparatus includes a housing; a flexible reservoir for storing the liquid; disposed within the housing; a flexible tubular member connected to the reservoir for selectively dispensing the liquid from the reservoir; and, a flexible mesh screen disposed within said reservoir. The flexible mesh screen produces a plurality of flow channels between the reservoir material and the output orifice of the reservoir to enable said liquid to continuously empty into said tubular member. In a preferred embodiment, the screen is a square screen with a side dimension at least equal to the diameter of the output orifice at the bottom of the reservoir and is fabricated from a plastic coated fiberglass material.
