Abstract: The radial roller bearing has an outer ring (1), an inner ring (2), several roller members (3), and a cage (4). The cage (4) is guided on the edges (1a) of the outer ring (1) via several supporting rollers (5) distributed around the circumference in the form, for example, of ball bearings. This makes it possible to avoid sliding friction for guiding the cage (4) and to guide the cage without any clearance, so that the roller bearing can attain a high limit speed.
Abstract: An AT-cut crystal oscillating reed formed by etching an AT-cut crystal wafer is provided. The wafer has a rotational parallel cut obtained by rotating a parallel cut by an angular degree of .theta..degree. relative to the X-axis of the wafer. The etching cross-section of the AT-cut crystal oscillating reed has a surface at an angle about 90.degree. from the front or back surface of the AT-cut crystal oscillating reed. This AT-cut crystal oscillating reed exhibits uniform characteristics and excellent reliability. Also provided is an AT-cut crystal oscillating reed with a low CI value. Finally, a method of etching an AT-cut crystal oscillating reed from an AT-cut crystal wafer is provided. A corrosion resisting film with gaps coats the wafer and is used in the etching process. In a preferred embodiment, the thickness of the wafer is designated t, the width of the gaps in the corrosion resisting films is designated l, and l.ltoreq.t/tan .theta..

Selection of the highest prioritized data available at any instant in time is based on a comparison repeated M times of both the selectability and priority of data available from two different stages of the device. The highest prioritized data is provided at the output of the M+1 stage.
Abstract: A current supplying integrated circuit which has multi-output for controlling current supply from a current source to a plurality of elements to be driven, such as LEDs, and comprises a plurality of switching devices for controllably supplying the current from the source to the corresponding elements to be driven wherein each of the switching devices has N unit switching elements arranged to be connected in parallel to each other to form a current synthesizing circuit. The unit switching elements have substantially the same current capacity. Each of the elements to be driven, such as LEDs, is supplied with a current whose intensity can be varied by N degrees by the synthesizing circuit. By varying the current intensity supplied to each of the elements, the unevenness in properties among them can be avoided or suppressed in an effective and simplified manner.
Abstract: The present invention relates to an improved method for embossing and decorating a thermoplastic velvet-like fabric. A transfer sheet supporting a thermally-activated decoration is simultaneously passed with a fabric between two rolls which are under pressure with respect to each other. At least one of the rolls is engraved so as to cause embossing of the fabric. The passing of the fabric and transfer sheet between the rolls is carried out at a temperature sufficient to activate the decoration and allow the transfer of the decoration to the embossed portions of the fabric. The fabric may be heated prior to the embossing-decorating step so that the velvet-like pile is at least partially plasticized. The fabric is then brushed to erect the pile to an erect position. If the decorating is printing, the fabric may be heated immediately before and after the embossing/printing step to transfer a sufficient amount of dye, and to penetrate and seal the dye within the fabric.

Abstract: A method for driving a liquid display having at least two groups of common electrodes intersecting a respective two groups of segment electrodes to form a display dot at every intersection is provided. Each group of common electrodes is simultaneously sequentially scanned in order. A voltage is applied to display dots formed and at least one common electrode positioned on an end portion of each segment electrode which is different than the voltage applied to the common electrodes positioned at the remaining portions of the segment electrodes.

Abstract: A bidirectional nonlinear resistor for use as a nonlinear active element having a highly insulating organic film formed on a first conductor by polymerizing in an electrolytic solution containing a supporting electrolyte and a soluble organic compound, and a second conductor identical or not identical in kind with the first conductor formed on the organic film is provided. An active matrix substrate including a plurality of the bidirectional nonlinear resistor elements may be used to have a liquid crystal display panel. In a preferred embodiment, the electrolytic solution includes an alkali hydroxide as a supporting electrolyte so that dopant need not be removed after formation of the film. The electrolytic solution which is electrolytically polymerized to form the insulating organic film includes a monomer, preferably pyrrole, pyrrole derivatives, phenol or phenol derivatives, dissolved in an electrolytic solution.
Abstract: A character pattern generating apparatus providing a character pattern which can be reduced or enlarged in size providing high fidelity. The apparatus stores outline data of the dot patterns to be displayed. The outline data includes line segments and/or subcurves and associated correction data. In computing the display coordinates for the selected outline data, the line segments and/or subcurves forming the outline are multiplied by a scaling factor modified by the correction data.
Abstract: An independent pallet delivery system for transporting pallets through a block forming machine that forms concrete blocks on a pallet. The systems includes a pallet magazine for storing a plurality of pallets therein. A conveyor belt formed with a pulley system for transporting the pallets. A pallet pick-up position which receives a pallet from the pallet magazine and places the pallet in a holding position above the conveyor. A jacking assembly is provided to raise that conveyor to engage with the pallet and deliver the pallet to the block forming machine. The block forming machine lifts the empty pallet and forms a molded block thereon. As the block forming machine lowers the pallet towards the conveyor, the jacking assembly lowers the conveyor to cushion the return of the pallet having the molded cement blocks thereon. The pallet with the molded concrete blocks is placed on the conveyor and a takeaway conveyor which move at essentially the same speed and outputs the pallet to an automated conveyor.
Abstract: A mattress tape for securing the edge of a mattress comprising a fabric formed of yarn. The fabric has a first section, a second section and a third section disposed between the first section and second section. The third section is formed with greater shape holding capability than the first and second sections. This greater shape holding capability is caused by greater thickness, weight or stiffness of said central third section.
Abstract: A garment hanger adapted to support an elongated rod. The garment hanger includes an elongated body having two ends and a supporting portion therebetween. The ends of the body extend downwardly to form a pair of spaced legs each having a rod receiving portion. Each rod receiving portion is defined by a bottom wall, a back wall joined to the bottom wall and forming a part of the body, a side wall and a front wall joined to the bottom wall and side wall and spaced a predetermined distance from the back wall to define an initial rod receiving pocket. A secondary rod receiving pocket is defined below the initial rod receiving pocket and is offset therefrom. The width of the initial and secondary rod receiving pockets are essentially the same as the diameter of the rod to permit the rod to be locked in the secondary rod receiving pocket.
Abstract: An electronic typewriter for printing a document having a fixed format with portions thereof containing replaceable character code. The document is stored in an external storage device and read out until a replaceable character code is detected. The replaceable character code is acted upon by replacement with substitute character code or deletion thereof based on instructions communicated to a keyboard. Following input of the instructions, the document is once again read out from the external storage device until the next replaceable character code is detected and acted upon. The sequential reading of the document, detection of and acting upon the detected replaceable character code and automatic reading of the remaining portion of the document until detection of the next replaceable character code, continues until the entire document is read out of the external storage device.
Abstract: A portable lighted microphone formed in a configuration which outputs light, sound and color simultaneously. The lighted microphone includes a hand-held housing having a microphone assembly for detecting an external voice sound. A speaker assembly is positioned in the housing and is coupled to the microphone for outputting the external voice sound. A light source is mounted in the housing and is coupled to the microphone for emitting a beam of light. A modulating circuit within the housing is coupled to the microphone and the light source for modulating the beam of light in time sequence with the voice sound received by the microphone.
Abstract: A multifunction electronic analog timepiece includes a face and a plurality of indicators positioned on the face for displaying at least two time keeping functions. At least two step motors are provided for driving the plurality of time keeping function indicators. The time keeping function indicators are arbitrarily disposed about the face dependent upon the number of step motors and position of step motors required to drive the indicators. A microcomputer is provided and includes a program memory for storing software instructions for controlling the step motors.
Abstract: A woven synthetic fabric tubular vascular graft including, a stiffening component in the filling yarn is self supporting without crimping the walls of the graft. The graft is woven from warp ends of multifilament polyester yarns and elastomeric yarns in the warp and a filling yarn which includes multifilament and monofilament polyester yarns which have been twisted together. Longitudinal and radial compliance provide for improved kink resistance making the tubular grafts suitable for use in medium and small diameter peripheral applications. A preferred graft has an outer velour surface and a smooth inner surface.
Abstract: A ravel-resistant, self-supporting woven synthetic fabric vascular graft including a fusible fiber integrated into the weave in the filling yarn is provided. The graft is woven from multifilament polyester warp yarns which can be textured or flat. The filling yarn includes a low melting fusible fiber or resin which can be combined with a stiff monofilament. The monofilament component provides radial rigidity to improve kink and crush resistance. After heat setting, the low melting fusible resin fuses to orthogonal warp yarns at each intersection and provides ravel resistance to the finished graft. Improved kink resistance make the tubular grafts suitable for use in medium and small diameter peripheral applications. A preferred graft has a single velour outer surface and a smooth inner surface.
