Abstract: A complex-operation input device having an operable knob held in a rotatable and slidable manner includes a rotation sensor that detects rotation of the operable knob on the basis of displacement of a second detected portion, and a slide sensor that detects sliding of the operable knob on the basis of displacement of a first detected portion. The direction in which the second detected portion moves with the sliding of the operable knob is substantially orthogonal to a rotation axis about which the operable knob rotates. The slide sensor is disposed such that, when the operable knob is slid, the slide sensor detects the sliding before the rotation sensor detects the displacement of the second detected portion.

Abstract: A method, system and apparatus for implementing a Multimedia Ring Back Tone (MRBT) service are provided. The method includes: receiving a call request originated by a calling terminal; parsing a tone playing policy specifying whether to play a caller tone or a callee tone or whether to filter a tone; performing caller tone media negotiation or callee tone media negotiation, or performing no tone negotiation according to the parsing result; and playing the caller tone or the callee tone to the caller, or playing no tone. With the technical solution of the present invention, the caller tone service can be implemented in the IMS domain. Whether a caller tone or a callee tone is played to the caller is determined according to a preset policy. Furthermore, the tone filtering service is also implemented. This gives a user freedom in experiencing the MRBT service.

Abstract: A method of forming a pattern includes forming a photoresist pattern on a substrate, forming a first material layer on substantially an entire surface of the substrate including the photoresist pattern, heat-treating the substrate including the first material layer and the photoresist pattern, and forming the pattern by removing the photoresist pattern and the portion of the first material layer on the photoresist pattern. A method of manufacturing an array substrate includes forming a pixel region bounded by gate and data lines, and a thin film transistor; an insulating layer is selectively removed to form a passivation layer using a photoresist pattern as an etching mask; a transparent conductive layer is formed on substantially the entire substrate, and the substrate is heat treated. The photoresist pattern and the portion of the transparent conductive layer on the photoresist pattern are removed by a stripping material.

Abstract: A calling method for the video phone, includes: playing a Multimedia Ring Back Tone for a calling terminal via a first bearer of video phone established between a Multimedia Ring Back Tone server and the calling terminal; establishing a second bearer of video phone between a called terminal and the Multimedia Ring Back Tone server upon detecting that the called terminal answers the call; and performing a video phone communication between the calling terminal and the called terminal via the first bearer and the second bearer established. Another calling method for the video phone, comprises: playing a Multimedia Ring Back Tone for the calling terminal by the Multimedia Ring Back Tone server via a third bearer of video phone established with the calling terminal; establishing a fourth bearer of video phone between the calling terminal and the called terminal, and performing the video phone communication between the calling terminal and the called terminal via the fourth bearer.

Abstract: A seatbelt device having a first energy absorbing member with two axial direction end portions attached respectively to a spindle and a lock member and which absorbs energy by undergoing twisting deformation when a load of at least a predetermined value acts on the spindle while the lock member is locked during an emergency. A second energy absorbing member is fixed to the spindle at one end portion and extends through a bend route provided in the lock member. The second energy absorbing member absorbs energy by being pulled through the bend route so as to undergo plastic deformation when the spindle rotates as a result of twisting of the first energy absorbing member. A deformation portion is interposed between a turned back portion of the second energy absorbing member and the spindle.

Abstract: A process is repeated in which N state vectors each including, as elements, the position of a camera with respect to a vehicle, the posture of the camera, the width of a lane where the vehicle is driving, and the orientation of the vehicle with respect to the lane are changed according to a predetermined dynamics model, a reference state vector representing the positions of edges of lane marks included in an image captured by the camera is generated when each of the changed state vectors is true, considering the positions of edges of lane marks in the image as an observation vector, the degree of match between the reference state vector and the observation vector is calculated as the weight of the state vector, a weighted average vector of the state vectors is calculated, and N state vectors are resampled on the basis of the calculated weights.

Abstract: A method of plasma etching Ga-based compound semiconductors includes providing a process chamber and a source electrode adjacent thereto. The chamber contains a Ga-based compound semiconductor sample in contact with a platen which is electrically connected to a first power supply, and the source electrode is electrically connected to a second power supply. SiCl4 and Ar gases are flowed into the chamber. RF power is supplied to the platen at a first power level, and RF power is supplied to the source electrode. A plasma is generated. Then, RF power is supplied to the platen at a second power level lower than the first power level and no greater than about 30 W. Regions of a surface of the sample adjacent to one or more masked portions of the surface are etched at a rate of no more than about 25 nm/min to create a substantially smooth etched surface.

Abstract: A method of processing polymer materials, highly filled or otherwise to recover cyclic structures or monomers. The method involves providing a vessel having a heated side wall, an agitator, and at least one of an additional heated structure, other than the heated side wall, within the vessel and means for forming a thin coat of material processed in the vessel on said heated side wall. A polymer material is fed into the vessel and heated to a sufficient temperature to cause depolymerization of the polymer material into cyclic structures or monomers. The cyclic structures or monomers are removed from the vessel and collected. The method does not require the use of a solvent.

Abstract: Disclosed are hot melt adhesive compositions comprising a metathesized unsaturated polyol ester wax. Typically, the metathesized unsaturated polyol ester wax is derived from renewable starting materials such as vegetable oils or animal fats. The metathesized unsaturated polyol ester wax typically replaces a portion or all of a petroleum-derived wax or synthetic wax in various hot melt adhesive compositions. The hot melt adhesives may be conventional hot melt adhesives or hot melt pressure-sensitive adhesives.

Abstract: In at least one embodiment of the present invention a driving aid system for mounting in a road vehicle is provided. The driving aid system comprises a detection system for detecting and storing profiles of characteristics of objects around the vehicle along a road on which the vehicle is being driven. A positioning system is for providing a current position of the vehicle. Profiles of characteristics of objects are stored in relation to the detected position of the vehicle. A processing arrangement compares currently detected profiles with earlier stored profiles and, if a match between a currently detected profile and an earlier stored profile is found, then the current position of the vehicle is determined relative to an object corresponding to the earlier stored profile, and the same or other earlier stored profiles is used to predict the future surroundings of the vehicle.
