  • Patent number: 7589298
Abstract: The roll-up floor heating comprises an insulating layer, a heating element and a cladding. The insulating layer is intended for laying on a floor and the heating element extends between the cladding and the insulating layer. The cladding is intended to support a floor covering and comprises a force distribution layer for transmitting a force which is exerted on the cladding in a distributed manner to the insulating layer. In as far as (a part of) the heating element is at the location or in the vicinity of the exerted force, the load which will be exerted on it will be lower than the original load, due to the force being transmitted in a distributed manner. This lowers the risk of the heating element being damaged.

  • Patent number: 7589209
Abstract: Highly sensitive fluorescent zinc or cadmium sensors are derived from 8-hydroxyquinaldine, a well-established fluorescent zinc probe, as a building block. High binding efficiency was achieved by incorporating two 8-hydroxyquninaldine moieties into a single ligand. Incorporation of sulfonamide groups further improved binding efficiency. The compounds make it possible to monitor zinc ion or cadmium ion concentration in the picomolar or femtomolar range.

  • Patent number: 7587001
Abstract: Network providing improved coverage based on a frequency shifting scheme. A wireless signal in a frequency band is shifted to another distinct band, and carried in the shifted band, using wired or wireless mediums, to another location, wherein the wireless signal is shifted back to the original frequency band. In one embodiment, the wireless signal is frequency shifted by converting it to other representing signals and forming the frequency-shifted signal from the representations. The medium may use dedicated wiring or existing service wiring in a residence or building, including LAN, telephone, AC power and CATV wiring. The system (in whole or in part) may be enclosed as a stand-alone unit, housed in integrated form as part of a service outlet or as a snap-on/plug-in module.

  • Patent number: 7585021
Abstract: An armrest with cup holder of the type where the cup holder is integral with a foam padding in a trim cover assembly through a foaming process, wherein the cup holder is inserted in a hole formed in the trim cover assembly. A uniform stretcher protrusion is defined in a given local peripheral region of the cup holder about which the afore-said hole is engaged, so that a substantially circular edge of that hole is uniformly stretched by and along the uniform stretcher protrusion, thereby causing a close contact of such substantially circular edge of the hole on and about the uniform stretcher protrusion, so as to insure preventing leakage of a liquid foaming agent from between that particular hole and the cup holder during the foaming process.

  • Patent number: 7587281
Abstract: The structure of conformational, discontinuous binding surfaces that associate with a binding molecule, preferably the epitopes of monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) may be discovered. The binding molecule is used to select specific peptides from a peptide library that, in turn, are used as a binding surface (epitope) defining database that is applied via a novel computer algorithm to analyze the crystalline-structure of the original binding surface (antigen). An antigenic epitope-mimetic that is recognized by its original mAb may be reconstituted based on the segments of the epitope identified in the prediction. The basic elements of the binding domain on gp120 that is recognized by broadly neutralizing antibody b12 are disclosed, as in their use in making vaccines for preventing or treating HIV.

  • Patent number: 7585837
Abstract: Reversible pegylated drugs are provided by derivatization of free functional groups of the drug selected from amino, hydroxyl, mercapto, phosphate and/or carboxyl with groups sensitive to mild basic conditions such as 9-fluorenylmethoxycarbonyl (Fmoc) or 2-sulfo-9-fluorenylmethoxycarbonyl (FMS), to which group a PEG moiety is attached. In these pegylated drugs, the PEG moiety and the drug residue are not linked directly to each other, but rather both residues are linked to different positions of the scaffold Fmoc or FMS structure that is highly sensitive to bases and is removable under physiological conditions. The drugs are preferably drugs containing an amino group, most preferably peptides and proteins of low or medium molecular weight. Similar molecules are provided wherein a protein carrier or another polymer carrier replaces the PEG moiety.

  • Patent number: 7581895
Abstract: A cosmetic product replacement unit for a base stick module of a cosmetic stick has a replacement housing in which the cosmetic product is present in the form of a refill. A cap or sealing an extension opening for the refill is attached onto the replacement housing. The refill is in push connection with a piston guided in the replacement housing. A piston connecting component, connected to the piston, may be used with a complementary push rod connecting component of a piston push rod as part of a feed device of the base stick module to withdraw the refill. It is possible to bring the piston push rod into push connection with the piston and to position it on the side of the piston remote from the refill. In addition to the cosmetic product replacement unit, a set also has a plurality of base stick modules which have feed devices for the cosmetic product which differ from one another in their mechanical operating principles.
