  • Patent number: 4240542
Abstract: In a walking beam type accumulating conveyor wherein workpieces upstream of an empty workpiece supporting station are transferred in a step-by-step fashion from station to station to fill the empty station and any empty stations upstream of it, the workpieces are lifted from each station for transfer to the next downstream station by workpiece carriers supported on transfer bars which themselves move vertically as well as longitudinally of the conveyor, and to render the conveyor most efficient the decision whether to pick up a workpiece at a station and transfer it to the next downstream station is made during elevation of the transfer bars and just prior to the carrier's engaging the workpiece.

  • Patent number: 4235409
Abstract: A fishing rod holder which may be easily clamped to a typical wooden dock having slots between the boards making up the dock. The holder has an anchoring means which is easily inserted through the slots and then turned to underlie the boards adjoining the slots. The anchor is then tightened to grasp the wooden boards securely between the base and the anchor. There is also provided as part of the holder a tubular socket sitting on a post attached to the base for receiving a fishing pole handle. To insure that the holder will not turn, holes are provided in which a peg may be inserted providing positive alignment of the holder in various directions.

  • Patent number: 4219111
Abstract: A control system for a conveyor having a plurality of trolley carriers movable along a path of travel and having at least one latching type reed switch whose open or closed condition is sensed in a reading station through which the trolley carrier moves, to effect some desired control function with respect to the trolley carrier. At another station, such as a writing or reset station upstream of the reading station, the switches are latched in an open or closed condition which accompanies the trolley carrier during movement of the trolley carrier along the path of travel and through the reading station. The writing station has a plurality of permanent or electromagnets conditioning each switch separately and remotely; and a reset station may be provided upstream of the writing station for separately initiating each carrier switch to an inoperable condition.

  • Patent number: 4201056
Abstract: A brake bleeder adapter, for use with automotive brake system master cylinders having reservoirs which should not be subjected to clamping and/or bleeding pressures as was done according to prior methods of brake bleeding, connects the hydraulic brake system of the automobile to a supply of pressurized brake fluid without subjecting the reservoir to such pressures during the process of bleeding the brakes. When securing this adapter to the brake system, the master cylinder fluid reservoir is essentially by-passed and the adapter is connected directly to the master cylinder. Entrained air within the replacement brake fluid is effectively prevented from entering the brake system by either releasing such air from the fluid or confining it to the fluid remaining in the adapter thus reducing the time needed to complete the bleeding process.

  • Patent number: 4165935
Abstract: A differential float control is provided by a single switch and a single float wherein a vertical guide tube contains a magnetically operated switch, and a free float surrounds the tube and rises and falls with the liquid level and carries two magnets. As the float moves in one direction the switch is magnetically latched closed by one magnet and remains closed until unlatched by the other magnet as the float returns in the opposite direction. The switch may be normally open, or normally closed, so that movement of the float may provide any desired circuit sequence for operating a liquid level controlling pump or the like for maintaining the liquid level within prescribed limits.
