Abstract: A small diameter spark plug configuration is provided, the configuration has been found to provide additional volume for the insulator member. That is, by limiting the overall number of threads on the intermediate portion along with a limit of the overall diameter of the spark plug, additional volume of insulator material may be achieved in an interior cavity of a metal shell of the spark plug. This additional volume enables a portion of the insulator member to have a larger diameter and hence greater material thickness. The larger diameter of the insulator provides enhanced dielectric properties and protects internal components of the spark plug from high combustion chamber temperatures while simultaneously providing a robust attachment of the spark plug with an engine head.

Abstract: A write current is contracted without loss of precision of current-driven structure. While a capacitance TFT is switched off, a data current is supplied from a power supply line PVDD through a driver TFT and a selection TFT to a data line DL. With this process, a voltage which is lower than PVDD by an amount corresponding to a writing current of the driver TFT is set to gate of the driver TFT. Then, a control TFT is switched on so that a current corresponding to the gate voltage of the driver TFT flows to an organic electroluminescence element. In this process, the capacitance TFT is switched from an off state to an on state so that the gate voltage of the driver TFT changes corresponding to the change in capacitance and the drive current is contracted while the threshold value and mobility of the driver TFT are compensated for.

The LCD includes a liquid crystal capacitor charged with a data voltage during a first turn-on period of a first gate signal, a storage capacitor having one electrode connected to the liquid crystal capacitor and a driving unit which supplies a boost voltage to the other electrode of the storage capacitor during a boost voltage-output period of a boost-control signal. The boost voltage has a first edge and a second edge, the first and second edges occur in the boost voltage-output period, and the first turn-on period occurs between the first and second edges.
Abstract: A steering column assembly includes a column jacket coupled to a support bracket. The column jacket is moveable in a longitudinal direction along a longitudinal axis and in a pivotable direction relative to the support bracket about a pivot axis. A locking mechanism interconnects the support bracket and the column jacket, and includes a torsion shaft rotatable about a shaft axis in a first direction and a second direction to move the locking mechanism between a lock position and a release position. A motor includes an output shaft rotatable about a primary axis in a single rotational direction. A linkage interconnects the motor and the torsion shaft of the locking mechanism. The linkage is actuated by rotation of the output shaft in the single rotational direction to rotate the torsion shaft in alternating fashion between the first direction and the second direction.

Abstract: A process for preparing a redistributed poly(phenylene ether), comprising reacting a poly(phenylene ether) in a reactive diluent monomer with a polyhydric phenol in the presence of a redistribution catalyst to form a composition comprising a redistributed poly(phenylene ether) in the reactive monomer diluent. The redistributed poly(phenylene ether) exhibits an intrinsic viscosity in the range of about 0.06 deciliters per gram to about 0.25 deciliters per gram, measured in chloroform at 25° C. The redistributed poly(phenylene ether) can be functionalized and admixed with unsaturated resin such as an unsaturated polyester resin or vinyl ester resin to obtain a varnish composition that, when cured, can form an electrically insulative thermoset.

Abstract: A supercharger has an inner wall defining an inner cavity for receiving lobed rotors for rotation therein, a low-pressure inlet and a high-pressure outlet. A sound attenuator is associated with the housing and located adjacent to the high-pressure outlet. The sound attenuator has a tuner chamber and circumferentially spaced tuner ports fluidly connecting the tuner chamber with the internal cavity of the housing to define a Helmholtz resonator. A land is defined between the circumferentially spaced tuner ports such that the high-pressure outlet and low-pressure inner chambers defined between the rotor lobes and the inner wall are fluidly connected when the rotor lobes are in alignment with the land to reduce the pressure differential between the high-pressure outlet and the low-pressure inner chambers.
Abstract: An article of manufacture includes an object having an airfoil core shape. The airfoil core shape has a nominal profile substantially in accordance with Cartesian coordinate values of X, Y, and Z set forth in TABLE 1 where X and Y are distances in inches which, when connected by smooth continuing arcs, define airfoil profile sections at each distance Z in inches. The profile sections at the Z distances are joined smoothly with one another to form a complete airfoil core shape.

Abstract: The present invention provides a method for manufacturing a semiconductor structure, —including—the following steps of: forming a substrate having a package array; forming a thermosetting non-conductive layer covering the substrate; partially solidifying the thermosetting non-conductive layer to form a semi-solid non-conductive layer; connecting chips to the package array on the substrate; pressing and heating the chips and the substrate so that the semi-solid non-conductive layer adheres with the chips and the substrate; pre-heating an encapsulant preformed on a metal layer; covering the chips on the substrate with the encapsulant; and solidifying the encapsulant to completely cover the chips on the substrate. The present invention can reduce use of gold to lower the manufacturing cost and can also improve the heat conduction efficiency of the semiconductor structure to enhance operational stability of the chips.
