Abstract: A method and a processing device are provided for compressing a web graph including multiple nodes and links between the multiple nodes. Nodes of the web graph may be clustered into groups including no more than a predetermined number of nodes. A list of links of the clustered nodes may be created and sorted based on a frequency of occurrence of each of the links. A prefix tree may be created based on the sorted list of links. The prefix tree may be walked to find candidate virtual nodes. The candidate virtual nodes may be analyzed according to a selection criteria and a virtual node may be selected. The prefix tree may be adjusted to account for the selection of the virtual node and the virtual node may be added to the web graph.

Abstract: Various technologies and techniques are disclosed that improve handwriting recognition operations. Handwritten input is received in training mode and run through several base recognizers to generate several alternate lists. The alternate lists are unioned together into a combined alternate list. If the correct result is in the combined list, each correct/incorrect alternate pair is used to generate training patterns. The weights associated with the alternate pairs are stored. At runtime, the combined alternate list is generated just as training time. The trained comparator-net can be used to compare any two alternates in the combined list. A template matching base recognizer is used with one or more neural network base recognizers to improve recognition operations. The system provides comparator-net and reorder-net processes trained on print and cursive data, and ones that have been trained on cursive-only data. The respective comparator-net and reorder-net processes are used accordingly.

Abstract: A power driver may include a housing, a tool chuck and a sleeve. The tool chuck may have a chuck body mounted for rotation on the housing and supporting threadless chuck jaws, and a chuck drive shaft mounted for rotation on the chuck body. The sleeve may be mounted on the tool chuck for adjustment into a DRILL DRIVE MODE to rotationally lock together the chuck body and the chuck drive shaft, and a CHUCK MODE to rotationally lock together the chuck body and the housing.
Abstract: Normal and abnormal diurnal cortisol secretion patterns are identified from human saliva samples by an in vitro method. First and second saliva samples are taken from one human individual at first and second predetermined times during the same day. A first cortisol concentration is determined in the first saliva sample, and a second cortisol concentration is determined in the second saliva sample. An abnormal secretion pattern is then compared to a normal secretion pattern with the help of a fuzzy logic algorithm. A function of the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis is then determined for the human individual. Optionally, a testosterone level is determined from one of the samples and is used in combination with the cortisol concentrations to provide a redefined determination.
Abstract: Guided photography with image capturing device rendered user recommendations. Data is accessed that is associated with an intended photograph. A knowledge base is accessed to obtain data that is related to the data that is associated with the intended photograph. Recommendations are determined for the intended photograph based on the knowledge base data. The recommendations are provided to a rendering system of the device before the intended photograph is taken.

Abstract: An optical sight comprises an elongate housing defining a light channel. A lens is provided at one end of the light channel and has a partially reflecting surface. A laser diode is energised by a pulsating electric current delivered by a battery powered energising circuit, and the energised laser diode emits light towards the reflecting surface to produce a light spot by direct imaging of the laser diode on the surface. The light spot shall be superimposed on the target when sighting through the light channel from the other end thereof.

Abstract: An epicutaneous test plaster, which is intended for removable adhesion to a skin portion of a person subjected to testing, has a flexible carrier (10) with a medical adhesive layer (12) and a number of test chambers (31). The test chambers contain a filter element (17) for absorption of allergen and are oriented with their opening directed away from the flexible carrier (10). A removable cover layer (27, 32) extends over all the test chambers and the carrier (10) and is removably secured to them by means of the adhesive layer (12) of the carrier. According to the invention, the test chambers (31) are formed as separate chambers, which are each separately fixed to the carrier and which are made up of a number of different sub-layers (13, 17, 19, 20, 24, 26).
Abstract: A sync community may include a group of synchronization endpoints. When two synchronization endpoints of the sync community synchronize with one another, a synchronization data conflict may be detected when the two synchronization endpoints make a change to a same particular data item and the two synchronization endpoints were unaware of the changes to the same particular data item made by the other respective synchronization endpoint at the time the changes were made. Resolution of the detected synchronization data conflict may be delayed and data indicative of the detected synchronization data conflict may be propagated to other synchronization endpoints during a synchronization operation.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a bipolar battery having at least two battery cells comprising: a sealed housing, a negative end terminal, a positive end terminal, at least one biplate assembly arranged in a sandwich structure between said negative and positive end terminals, and a separator, including an electrolyte, arranged between each negative and positive electrode forming a battery cell. The biplate assembly is provided with an inner barrier of a hydrophobic material around the negative and the positive electrode, respectively, and an outer seal around the edge of each biplate. Each end terminal is provided with a terminal seal. The edge of each biplate is positioned close to the sealed housing to provide means to conduct heat from each biplate assembly to the ambient environment. The invention also relates to a method for manufacturing a bipolar battery and a biplate assembly.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a bipolar battery having at least two battery cells comprising: a negative end terminal, a positive end terminal and at least one biplate assembly arranged in a sandwich structure between the negative and positive end terminals. The battery also comprises a separator, with electrolyte, arranged between each negative and positive electrode forming a cell. An inner barrier of a hydrophobic material is arranged at least around one electrode on a first side of the biplate. An outer sealing, e.g. a frame, is provided around the edge of each biplate assembly and each end terminal and a hole is arranged through each biplate interconnecting each cell with adjacent cell(s) to create a common gas space for all cells in the battery. Abstract: A weapon sight of the kind comprising a lens having a partially reflecting surface, a light source spaced from the lens for emitting light towards the reflecting surface to produce a light spot by direct imaging of the light source on the surface to be superimposed on a target when sighting through the lens. For adjustment of the location of the light spot on the reflecting surface when observed from a defined fixed position, the sight includes a device for displacement of the light source, comprising a miniature drive motor or element operatively connected with the light source.
