Abstract: A relativity controller is a scroll bar/window combination that provides a way to see data in relation to both the context of its wholeness and the salience of its contents. To accomplish this, the linear density or other appearance of the scroll bar (acting as a ruler or scale) varies with the density of the document salience (as indicated by different kinds of annotations or marks). It also provides a way to zoom between perspectives. This is usable on many different data types: including sound, video, graphics, calendars and word processors.
Abstract: A computer system utilizing software to map content by determining a field of relevance and at least one topic in the field of relevance is presented. The system determines at least one content pertaining to the topic, retrieves a representation of the content and maps the representation of the content onto the field of relevance. Then, it provides an extremely flexible presentation mechanism where the content is organized by multi-dimensional mappings to present the information effectively. The system also provides a navigation aid for traversing multi-dimensional information utilizing a variety of features and tools for effectively visualizing the information. One of the features allows a vector to be assigned to each entity, queries a user or software agent for a particular focal element and displays the multiplicity of distinguishable entities based upon the assigned vectors utilizing the focal vector as a reference point to view the information.

Abstract: A multiple wall tank for the storage of liquids is manufactured from a rigid, single wall inner tank having at least one aperture by applying an outer sheath over the inner tank, removing a portion of the tank surrounding the aperture, applying a layer of a synthetic resin material to the inner tank exterior surface surrounding the aperture, providing a spacing means to provide for substantially free passage of liquids between a substantial portion of the inner tank and the outer sheath and bonding a portion of the outer sheath to the synthetic resin layer surrounding the aperture to form a substantially liquid impervious seal around the aperture.
Abstract: A double wall tank for the storage of liquids is manufactured from a rigid, inner tank by helically extruding a synthetic resin outer sheath over the sidewall portion inner tank while preventing bonding between the extruded outer sheath and the inner tank, with outer end portions that are sealingly bonded to the outer sheath sidewall portion.
Abstract: A storage tank and method for making it is disclosed in which a first tank portion having a cylindrical sidewall is formed by helically extruding a plurality of partially overlapping layers of synthetic resin on a portion of a cylindrical form, with an end portion being formed and sealingly affixed to the sidewall portion, with the cylindrical form being removed from within the first tank portion, and then any remaining open cylindrical end being closed to form a closed cylindrical tank.
Abstract: A double wall tank for the storage of liquids is disclosed, comprising a rigid inner tank having an aperture formed through a sidewall of the inner tank, and an outer sheath of synthetic resin material having an opening generally overlying the inner tank aperture and a generally annular flange member attached to the inner tank and extending over a portion of the outer sheath adjacent to and surrounding the outer sheath opening to urge that outer sheath portion toward the inner tank sidewall to form a substantially liquid impervious seal between the outer sheath and the inner tank surrounding and proximal to the inner tank aperture. A generally cylindrical passage member is attached to the inner tank adjacent the aperture and extending through the annular flange member to provide a substantially liquid-tight passage into the inner tank through the aperture and the opening in the outer end of the cylindrical passage member.
Abstract: A multiple wall tank for the storage of liquids is manufactured from a rigid inner tank having at least one aperture by applying a layer of a synthetic resin material to the inner tank exterior surface around the aperture, providing a spacing means to provide for substantially free passage of liquids along at least a portion of the inner tank, applying over the layer of synthetic resin and the inner tank an outer sheath of a thermoplastic synthetic resin material, and bonding the outer sheath to the resin material layer surrounding and proximal to the aperture to form a substantially liquid-impervious seal around the aperture.
Abstract: A self-drying animal litter box includes a box-like container shell having an upper portion, a lower portion and side walls, with an opening formed through the lower portion and a shelf positioned within the container shell along the side walls, and a flange extending downwardly from the lower portion, and also includes a lower tray having a channel for receiving at least a portion of that flange, with the container shell being removably attached to the lower tray. A panel having a generally planar top surface with a plurality of apertures formed therethrough is supported on the shelf, with the heating element attached to and spaced a predetermined distance below the panel and a heating element control coupled to the heating element and to the panel to maintain the panel at a substantially uniform and predetermined temperature for a preselected time.
Abstract: The present invention is directed to an apparatus for elevating a cover for a meter enclosure that may be buried in the ground. The apparatus includes first and second coaxial, right circular cylinders, the first cylinder including a protruding member extending from its outer surface, with the second cylinder having a diameter greater than or equal to the diameter of the first cylinder and including a pair of spaced apart notches formed in the inner sidewall thereof. The first cylinder may be attached to the meter box, with the protruding member generally securing the apparatus to the enclosure and the enclosure cover may then be attached to the top of the second cylinder.
Abstract: A nozzle for a container including an internal ball check valve along with an o-ring sealing structure and angled insertion limitation stops to cooperate with a receptacle to permit the insertion of the nozzle and container only a predetermined distance, while providing for such insertion to effect an opening of the ball check valve, and appropriate sealing o-rings are provided to prevent leakage of the liquid past the nozzle.
