  • Patent number: 8250361
Abstract: A server certificate issuing system in which existence of a Web server for which a certificate is to be issued can be confirmed and security is further improved is realized, wherein the user authentication is carried out using a test certificate having the SSL certificate format. Servers transmit server certificate request to the registration server which transmits the test certificate request to the test certificate issuing authority. The test certificate issuing server transmits the generated test certificate to the registration server which transmits the test certificate to the corresponding server and requests to install the test certificate. Then, the registration server accesses with SSL protocol to the server and verifies whether or not the session of the SSL protocol has been established. The registration server transmits the CSR to the certificate issuing server only when the SSL protocol has been established.

  • Patent number: 8240751
Abstract: In a vehicle roof system for closing and opening a roof opening (2a) formed in a fixed roof panel (2) of a vehicle with a moveable roof panel (4), an onboard device (30) is located in a laterally central part of the fixed roof panel (2) adjacent to a front edge of the roof opening, and an electric motor (24) for actuating the moveable roof panel is also located adjacent to the front edge of the roof opening but in a laterally offset and longitudinally overlapping relationship with the onboard device. As the electric motor and onboard device do not overlap each other in plan view, the thickness of the roof can be minimized. As the electric motor and onboard device overlap each other in side view, the distance between the upper edge of the front windshield and the front edge of the roof opening can be minimized, and this improves the field of view of the vehicle occupants.

  • Patent number: 8240439
Abstract: A vehicle damper of variable damping force including a cylinder, a piston and valves is disclosed. The valves have opening/closing parts and supporting parts. The opening/closing parts and the supporting parts are positioned separately so that a sufficient distance is obtained. Lengthening the distance from the supporting parts to the opening/closing parts makes it possible to reduce the opening and closing force of the opening/closing parts and to obtain highly responsive valves.

  • Patent number: 8240688
Abstract: Forming a recess in an intermediate section in an axis direction of an outer peripheral face of a stabilizer bush allows the contact surface pressure between an inner peripheral face thereof and an outer peripheral face of a torsion portion to be low in a section where the recess is formed. Therefore, when the torsion portion twistedly deforms, slipping against the torsion portion starts from the intermediate section in the axis direction of the stabilizer bush, and the slipping spreads to opposite end parts in the axis direction, thus enhancing the ride comfort of a vehicle. Moreover, open ends of axially opposite end parts of the stabilizer bush, where no recess is formed, are put in intimate contact with the outer peripheral face of the torsion portion, thus preventing sand and mud from entering therefrom.

  • Patent number: 8231181
Abstract: In a brake system including a master cylinder and an electrically-driven hydraulic pressure generator with front and rear pistons, when the hydraulic pressure generator cannot be operated and a failure of a first hydraulic system linked to a rear fluid chamber of the generator occurs and makes a first hydraulic system open to the atmosphere, the brake-fluid pressure of a second hydraulic system transmitted from the master cylinder to a wheel cylinder via a front fluid chamber of the generator is used to perform braking. A forward-facing third front cup seal provided at an intermediate portion of the front piston prevents the brake-fluid pressure generated by the master cylinder from leaking out from a front supply port via the rear fluid chamber. At the same time, a stopper prevents the pressure of the front fluid chamber from moving the front piston excessively backward. The braking is accordingly secured by use of the second hydraulic system linked to the front fluid chamber of the motor cylinder.
