  • Patent number: 5275595
Abstract: A closed cycle cryosurgical instrument having a mixed gas assembly that is mounted in a housing and also having a cryosurgical probe unit. By using special (or certain) gas mixtures as opposed to pure gasses, pressure reductions to .perspectiveto. or 1/4 of that required by pure gasses can be obtained. The use of gas mixtures with their attendant lower pressures allows for a closed cycle system since expensive and complex multi-stage compressors are not required. With the gas mixtures it is possible to obtain temperatures in the range of liquid nitrogen using a Joule-Thomson based system.

  • Patent number: 5271174
Abstract: A combination wall mount/portable gun lock assembly having a U-shaped locking bar having a pair of laterally spaced leg members. One leg member is inserted into the open end of the gun barrel until it is in the firing chamber. The other leg member has a transversely extending leg portion formed on its end that passes through the trigger guard aperture when the locking bar is installed on the gun. A combination lock is then inserted over the free end of the transversely extending leg portion and pressed tightly against the trigger guard. The locking bar prevents the chambering of a round in the firing chamber of the gun. The U-shaped locking bar can be passed through transversely aligned apertures in the wall mount unit when it is desired to mount the gun on a wall.

  • Patent number: 5245316
Abstract: An identification marking system for objects involves giving each object its own electronic name tag. The electronic name tag can be specific amount of ferrite material that has been added to the object. An electronic reader system then measures the effect said object has on an identifying circuit as the object passes in close proximity to the identifying circuit. The measured effect is then compared to a pre-established value. The value on the electronic reader system becomes the electronic name tag for this specific object. It is not necessary to add ferrite to the objects to be identified. Most materials have a measurable effect on a variety of electronic circuits. An electronic name tag may well be established by simply placing an object in the vicinity of a particular circuit and measuring the results. The results are then compared to a pre-determined set of values. The results of this comparison will provide an electronic name tag for this specific object.
