Abstract: A system for scheduling resources and rules for routing includes a server connected to a network, a scheduling application executable from the server, and at least one programmable software agent for scheduling routing rules. The scheduling application receives statistics about forecast arrival rates for incoming interactions and current resource availability data and schedules resources and routing rules according to the forecast requirements the software agent propagating the portion of scheduling relative to the routing rules.

Abstract: A plasma display device having a first diode with an anode coupled to an electrode. A first switch is coupled between a cathode of the first diode and a first voltage source that supplies a first voltage. A first inductor and a second switch are coupled in series between a power recovery capacitor and the cathode of the first diode, and a third switch is coupled between the anode of the first diode and a second voltage source that supplies a second voltage lower than the first voltage.

In one embodiment, the functionally-graded three-dimensional ordered open-cellular microstructure includes a first three-dimensional interconnected pattern of polymer waveguides having a first three-dimensional pattern; a second three-dimensional interconnected pattern of polymer waveguides having a second three-dimensional pattern differing from the first three-dimensional pattern; and an interface connected with the first three-dimensional interconnected pattern of polymer waveguides and the second three-dimensional interconnected pattern of polymer waveguides. Here, the term “functionally graded” refers to a spatial variation in the physical microstructure—and thus the properties—through the thickness of the material.
Abstract: A gel electrolyte including a non-volatile polymer solvent including hydrogen bonding groups with at least two hydrogen bonding sites, and a dye-sensitized solar cell including the gel electrolyte. Abstract: Silicon oxide based composite anode active materials including amorphous silicon oxides are provided. In one embodiment, the amorphous silicon oxide is represented by SiOx (where 0<x<2), has a binding energy of about 103 to about 106 eV, a silicon peak with a full width at half maximum (FWHM) ranging from about 1.6 to about 2.4 as measured by X-ray photoelectron spectrometry, and an atomic percentage of silicon greater than or equal to about 10 as calculated from an area of the silicon peak. The anode active material is a composite anode active material obtained by sintering hydrogen silsesquioxane (HSQ). Anodes and lithium batteries including the anode active material exhibit improved charge and discharge characteristics.
Abstract: A plasma display includes a plurality of discharge cells, and is driven with one frame divided into a plurality of subfields having respective weight values. Light emitting cells are selected through address discharge during an address period of each subfield, and sustain discharge is performed on the light emitting cells for a number of times corresponding to a weight value of the corresponding subfield during a sustain period of each subfield to display images. The plasma display provides a sensing period for identifying an external contact with the plasma display prior to the address period in at least one subfield of the plurality of subfields, and discharges the plurality of discharge cells during a sensing period. The plasma display identifies the external contact based on light generated from the discharge cells during the sensing period.
Abstract: A terminal of a rechargeable battery, which can provide a current path having reduced resistance between a bus bar and the terminal by separately forming a collector terminal and a coupling terminal while increasing a coupling force between the bus bar and the collector terminal, and a method of manufacturing the same are provided. In one embodiment, the terminal includes a collector terminal electrically connected to an electrode assembly disposed at the inside of a case and protruding toward the outside of the case, a lower fixing member having the collector terminal passing therethrough, a coupling terminal coupled to the lower fixing member in a sliding manner and protruding toward the outside of the lower fixing member, and an upper fixing member allowing the coupling terminal to pass therethrough and to be coupled thereto and covering the lower fixing member.

Abstract: Provided is a heat exchanger, heat sink or coldwall having a machined manifold for receiving a plurality of individual, modular micro-channel heat exchanger elements. Abstract: The present invention provides a method and pavement structure for protecting highway subgrade in frozen soil areas. The pavement structure has two or more pavement layers having gradient thermal conductivity; the thermal conductivity is layered among the pavement layers and is lowered from top to bottom, so that the pavement forms a uni-directional thermal conducting tunnel from the subgrade to the air. Heat can be easily released from the subgrade into the air, and is prevented from being transferred from the air to the subgrade. In this way, the frozen soil layer beneath the subgrade is cooled, so that the frozen soil table is made stable, and the highway subgrade in frozen soil areas is protected.

Abstract: A jet propulsion construction toy assembly includes a container mounted on a movable brick assembly. A launching unit includes a launching seat permitting extension of a nozzle of the container thereinto and having an inlet. When the nozzle extends into the launching seat, an actuator mounted movably in said launching seat is operable to engage the nozzle such that said container is filled with fluid including air and liquid and pumped out of a barrel by a pump through first and second conduits, the inlet and the nozzle. Thereafter, when the nozzle is released from the launching seat due to disengagement between the nozzle and the actuator, jet of the fluid from the container through the nozzle forms a propulsion force to drive movement of a combination of the brick assembly and the container away from the launching unit.
Abstract: An on-line value bearing item (VBI) printing system that includes one or more cryptographic modules and a central database is disclosed. The cryptographic modules are capable of implementing the USPS Information Based Indicia Program Postal Security Device Performance Criteria and other required VBI standards. The modules encipher the information stored in the central database for all of the on-line VBI system customers and are capable of preventing access to the database by unauthorized users. Additionally, the cryptographic module is capable of preventing unauthorized and undetected modification, including the unauthorized modification, substitution, insertion, and deletion of VBI related data and cryptographically critical security parameters.
Abstract: Anode active materials, methods of producing the same and lithium batteries using the same are provided. More particularly, an anode active material having high capacity and excellent capacity retention, a method of producing the same and a lithium battery having a long lifespan using the same are provided. The anode active material comprises complex material particles comprising silicon and graphite, a carbon layer covering the surface of the complex material particles, and a silicon-metal alloy formed between the complex material particles and the amorphous carbon layer.
