Abstract: An ammonium phosphate containing fire retardant is combined with a fluoropolymer and/or a penetrating barrier, borate-containing formulation having resistance to water damage with protective properties coming from materials such as used in food packaging and cosmetics and/or a medium-to-long chain polar carboxyl substance, and/or a medium-to-long chain polar carboxyl substance without borate, so as to make a composition. The composition can be aqueous. It can be a liquid of light to moderate viscosity, or may be a concentrated or dried version, which may contain a neutral ammonium phosphate and perhaps other ingredient(s) such as a mold inhibitor, an insecticide, a stain protector, and so forth and the like. The mold inhibitor can have especial activity against toxic black mold (Stachybotrys chartarum). The insecticide may be a termiticide.
Abstract: Precipitation vessel for precipitation of flocculants from lubricating oil includes a hollow housing having an interior volume capable of containing oil; an entry port capable of allowing oil to enter into the interior volume; a stirrer capable of stirring contained oil; a heater capable of heating the contained oil; a product exit port capable of allowing oil to exit the interior volume; an upper exterior access port; and a lower exterior access port. Contaminated lubricating oil can be cleaned from solid particulates by a method of providing a vessel for containing oil; providing contaminated lubricating oil to the vessel; contacting the contaminated lubricating oil with a coagulant, and, maintaining the resulting mixture at a mildly elevated temperature throughout the vessel, inducing flocculation of solid particles and settlement of flocculated particles under low thermo-current, if not thermo-current-free, conditions; and drawing off lubricating oil cleaned from settled flocculated solid particles.

The body can be removably attached to a building component about a door opening such as a 2×4, with the finger(s) for holding a jamb component of the pre-hung door. The tool may be intrinsically adjustable. A kit may include the tool, a fastener and/or a spacer.
Abstract: Mechanical converter in a movement device generally for transferring parts with respect to a die converts slave motion in a first direction into basic motions of a drive motion in a second direction different from the first direction, and a pitch motion in a third direction different from the first and second directions, which may be such that it is not converted through a plate or rotating cam. Additional motion(s) of an elevation motion in a fourth direction different from the second and third directions but including a vector component along or opposite to the first direction and/or further motion(s) radial to one or more of the first, second, third or fourth directions may be provided from the mechanical converter, another mechanical converter and/or from another source. Also, assisting motion(s), which can assist the die in performing an operation on a work piece, i.e., part, can be provided, for example, by drawing a motion from the pitch, drive and/or elevation motion(s).
Abstract: Conduit can connect a beverage line in fluid communication with a supply of first fluid. A pump operates to allow a second fluid to enter the conduit in a predetermined proportion relative to the first fluid. A primary first fluid control means and a secondary first fluid control means are selectively and independently movable between respective open positions in which the first fluid can flow into the conduit and respective closed positions in which flow of the first fluid into the conduit is substantially prevented. In use, the primary first fluid control means is in the open position, and the secondary first fluid control means selectively alternates between the open position and the closed position so as to create a pulsed secondary flow of the first fluid into the conduit for enhanced cleaning.
Abstract: Basal thumb joint implant has a head with a smooth, generally hemispherical, medio-proximally directed, articulating surface, and a generally abrupt, distally directed, truncation thereto; and a stem attached to the head, which arises from the truncation of the head and includes at least one of the following features: A) a general angle of attachment to the head which is acute in relation to the truncation of the head; B) a flanged cross-sectional stem profile; C) an inwardly curved stem; D) an eccentric head attachment site for the stem. The implant may be one-piece or modular in construction.
Abstract: Cup has an articular surface upon which a ball of a joint can articulate, and a margin generally about a hemisphere and at least two hoods that are marginally extended continuations of superior one-half or so of cup containment, a joint ball; and a securing member for resistance against outward displacement of the hood(s) so that the ball can be securely contained. An inwardly biased engagement tab can be is provided for hood brace(s), and perforation(s) or hole(s) can be present about the hood brace(s) and/or cover(s).

Abstract: Signage member can be installed for display in sign support member mounted on a wall. Multiple sign support members can be abutted with one or more fastener(s). Such fastener(s) can have a tall nut and tall screw about one end and a threaded hole and short screw about another. One or more signage member(s) may be stored behind the displayed signage member.
Abstract: Toe cap implant for correction of Hallux Rigidus has a cap having a head with a convex articular surface and opposite the articular surface an attaching feature that can attach the cap to a bone screw. The cap and screw can provide for an ensemble or a kit.
Abstract: Implant bore insert has an outer surface that is, at least in part, substantially cylindrically aligned. The insert may be blind, thus forming a cup, or it may be open ended. The insert can be provided with a predetermined outer circumferential surface that provides for a suitable interference fit with a corresponding bore hole of an implant component part. When inserted into the bore hole, the insert preferably seats itself on a blind end of the bore hole. Examples of implants employed with the insert can include ceramic ball joint heads and teeth.

Abstract: Composition has an indicating dye encapsulated by an encapsulating material. An encapsulated indicating dye can be combined with an organic substance absorbent and/or adsorbent. The composition, combination and/or a device having one or both of them can be used to indicate the presence of an organic substance by contacting the same with a sample, and, ascertaining whether an appropriate color release occurs to indicate the presence of the organic substance by contact of the organic substance with the composition, combination and/or device.

Abstract: Adjustable restraint includes a plantar plate surrounded by a peripheral element about which a plurality of supports can be positioned; a support system attachable to that plate or element for providing vertical and horizontal support; and a lower leg securing housing. The housing is attachable to the support system through adjustable fastener(s) such it can be adjusted vertically and secured in position with respect to the plantar plate. A sole portion of the plantar plate may be removable. The support system can include first support(s) and second support(s) attachable to the plate or element, and, through first adjustable fastener(s) and second adjustable fastener(s), respectively, the first adjustable fastener(s) and second adjustable fastener(s) be attachable to the housing.

Abstract: Lightweight composite or “mineral foam” composite materials can be made from reactive materials such as metal oxides. The materials can be prepared from a reaction of metal oxide(s), phosphate(s) and residual materials to which may be added a reactive foaming agent and/or latex polymer to provide enhanced physical properties. The composite materials can have a density of between about 0.35 to 2.25 g/cc, and may be used for many applications including pre-cast structures, in-situ structures, insulating blocks, slabs and composite wall sections, light weight spheres, mixes and coatings.
Abstract: Composition, which includes a dye that changes color when contacted with a suitable amount of an organic substance, in conjunction with a matrix, paste, support or web, can indicate visually or photometrically the presence of the organic substance. An organic spill absorbing material may be present. For instance, the dye may be selected from the class of anthracene, azo, anthraquinone, pyrazolone, and quinone dyes, and be hydrophobic and organic oleophilic. For an example, the dye may be Oil Red “A.” The matrix, paste, support or web may include a microfiber cloth, which may be coated with an adhesive for attachment of the dye, and/or include a water-dissolving paper which may envelope the dye. A device for ascertaining whether an organic substance is present includes the dye or composition with the dye at a certain locale, and a light-transmissive pathway in communication with the location and a detection site external the location.
