    Abstract: A method for forming microlenses of different curvatures is described, wherein a substrate having at least a first and a second areas different in height is provided. A transparent photosensitive layer having a planar surface is formed on the substrate and then patterned into at least two islands of different thicknesses respectively over the first area and the second area. The at least two islands are heated and softened to form at least two microlenses of different curvatures respectively over the first area and the second area, wherein the higher an area is, the smaller the curvature of the corresponding microlens is.

    Abstract: A metallic thin plate is etched to form a plurality of keypads having hollowed portions and cut to form a metallic keypad panel having a predetermined shape. Then, an electroplated layer is coated on the surface of the metallic keypad panel. A layer of protective film is adhered on the non-electroplated surface of the metallic keypad panel, which is disposed in a mold. A plastic material is then injected into the mold, so that the plastic material is formed into a pattern layer. In addition, a plastic thin plate is prepared with one side surface printed with a displaying layer, is adhered on elastic bodies having a plurality of protrusions and is cut to form an elastic layer. Finally, after the protective film is peeled off, an adhesive layer is applied thereon. The elastic layer is adhered on the surface of the adhesive layer.

    Abstract: A method for connecting a heat-dissipating body and a heat pipe and the structure thereof are used to improve the efficiency of heat conduction. The structure includes a heat-dissipating body and a heat pipe. The central position of the heat-dissipating body is provided with an accommodating trough for accommodating the heat pipe. A plurality of corresponding slots extends outwardly from the periphery of the trough. The other end of the slot is connected to a through hole. Tools are disposed in the slots to widen the slots and thus the periphery of the trough, so that the inner diameter of the trough is larger than the outer diameter of the heat pipe. After the heat pipe penetrates into the trough, the tools are removed, so that the inner wall surface of the trough abuts tightly against the outer circumferential surface of the heat pipe. Thus, the optimal efficiency of heat conduction between the heat pipe and the heat-dissipating body can be achieved.

    Abstract: A method of forming a strain-causing layer for MOS transistors is provided, which is applied to a substrate having a plurality of gate structures of the MOS transistors thereon. A non-conformal stressed film that is thicker on the gate structures than between the gate structures is formed over the substrate. The non-conformal stressed film is then etched, without an etching mask thereon, to remove portions thereof between the gate structures and disconnect the stressed film between the gate structures. At least one extra stressed film may be further formed over the substrate, wherein each extra stressed film has the same type of stress as the above stressed film and is connected or disconnected between the gate structures.

    Abstract: A method and a device for detecting object properties using electro-optically modulated surface plasmon resonance (SPR) based on phase detection is disclosed. In the case of a surface plasmon resonance sensing device according to the present invention, the voltage is applied on the sensing device made of an electro-optic material to modulate the surface plasmon resonance condition by varying the wavevector of the incident lightwave. The relation between the phase of output optical wave and the applied voltage is measured, and the solution concentration or the material property is obtained by using the slope of a regression straight line of this relations. The invention can be used in the experimental arrangements of the attenuated-total-reflection (ATR) structure and the optical waveguide structure, and has advantages of high sensitivity, high stability, small bulk, low equipment cost, etc.

A testing method of the active device array substrate is that firstly removing a part of the first dielectric layer to expose a testing pad(s) desired to electrically contact with a testing tool. In other words, before the testing, the testing pads are electrically insulated from the exterior to prevent the pixel units from the electrostatic charges damage and thus the circuit stability of the active device array substrate can be improved.

    Abstract: A hand crank generator includes a crank, a gear transmission, and a generation motor driven by the gear transmission. The crank and the gear transmission are coupled to each other. A clutch gear is coupled between the crank and the gear transmission. The crank is manually driven to further drive the gear transmission, and the generation motor is driven to generate electric current through the clutch gear. When the cranking stops, the clutch gear disengages from a motor gear disposed on the generation motor. A weighted wheel continues to revolve under inertia for a while to drive the generation motor to keep on generating electric current, so that the purpose of saving manual efforts can be achieved.

A portion of the substrate between the first spacer and the isolation structures is removed to form a recession and a source/drain layer is deposited in the recession, wherein the top surface of the source/drain layer is higher than the top surfaces of the isolation structures. A second spacer is formed on the isolation structures and at the sidewall of the source/drain layer and a metal silicide layer is formed on the source/drain layer.

A high K (dielectric constant) gate dielectric layer, a barrier layer and a metal layer are sequentially formed on the substrate.
