  • Patent number: 7241072
Abstract: A connecting device for tubular elements (1), for assembling the tubular elements into modular structures, includes a plurality of inserts (22), each insert having an expandable portion (2) and a head (3). Shells (9) are provided, each shell having a plurality of housings (10) having a shape approximately complementary to a shape of the head (3). The head may be fixed to a related housing (10). The insert (22) is locked into an end of the tubular element (1), when the expandable portion (2) is inserted into the end of the tube, and expanded. The tubular element (1) is connected to the shell (9), when the head (3) is in the locked condition, the tubular element (1) being engaged in a related housing (10) of the shell, and fixed to the shell by a fixing device.

  • Patent number: 7234335
Abstract: According to a method for producing head elements for heaters, a piece of sheet metal (1) is deep drawn and cut along the edge (9) of an open side (6) to obtain a hollow body (8) with larger and narrower sides (4,5,14,15). An aperture (12) is made on each opposite larger side (4,5) of the hollow body, and threaded rings (26) are then applied around the lateral through apertures (12). Notches (16) are made on the opposite large sides (4,5), along the edge (9) of the open side (6), and then three cores (18) are introduced through the edge (9), so that a flange (17) around the notches (16) can be made by pressing, so as to close the sheet metal (1) around the cores (18) widening the notches (16). After the cores (18) have been removed, the edge (9) is welded along the flange (17) of the widened notches (16), thus obtaining holes (21) separated from each other.

  • Patent number: 7220932
Abstract: A work unit for conveying bottles between two stations and for rejecting bottles considered faulty, includes a selecting disc, having a vertical axis and featuring radial seats made on its edge, for holding, in cooperation with vacuum ducts, bottles. A first track, concentric with the disc, cooperates with the seats and the vacuum ducts to guide bottles, considered good, from an inlet station to an outlet station. A second track begins in an intermediate point of the first track and extends to intersect the first track, and leads to a discharge station. The second track guides, with the cooperation of removing elements, the bottles considered faulty, from the first track to the discharge station, due to deactivation of the vacuum ducts with respect to the seats situated upstream of the discharge station and containing the faulty bottles.

  • Patent number: 7219485
Abstract: In a semiautomatic boxing machine, a first conveyor receives and moves a plurality of erected boxes to a work station, while a second conveyor receives and moves a plurality of products to a station for forming groups of products. A manipulator picks up groups of products in the forming station and release them into corresponding boxes dwelling in the work station.

  • Patent number: 7204066
Abstract: Device for screwing caps onto bottles and similar containers includes a work station, which supports a device for gripping the caps and which moves toward and away from the bottles, carried by a relative feeding line. An actuator, associated to the work station, drives the gripping device into rotation, so as to screw the caps onto the corresponding open heads of the bottles. A fricton device for coupling of the actuator with the gripping device, is operated in step relation with the positioning of the caps close to the open heads of the bottles.

  • Patent number: 7191210
Abstract: An exemplary embodiment of the invention relates to a method, system, and storage medium for facilitating website searching and brand recognition capabilities over a computer network. The system comprises a server, a search engine in a communication with the server, and a website marking tool including a user interface executing on the server. The website marking tool provides registration services for qualified websites. The system also comprises a data storage device in communication with the server. The data storage device stores databases of registered website addresses. The website marking tool provides distinctive marking indicia to the registered website addresses for promoting brand recognition and facilitating website searching by distinguishing the registered website addresses from non-registered website addresses displayed at the at least one user system as a result of conducting a web search. The invention also comprises a method and storage medium for implementing the website marking tool.

  • Patent number: 7134448
Abstract: A transducer for monitoring the position of movable bodies and in particular for monitoring the position of valve flaps and other elements in connection with systems for fire extinction, is composed of a pipe (4) which is closed at one end and thus forms a hollow body with a bottom (4). The pipe is made of a magnetically inert material and accommodates an inductive sensor (5) of an ordinary type. The sensor is movable inside the pipe, but engages the internal bottom of the pipe in its normal position of use. The transducer is kept in this position by a compression spring (17) which presses against the free end of the cylindrical sensor. With its other end, this compression spring (17) engages a plug (2) at the free end of the pipe. In its position of use, the transducer is arranged such that the bottom of the pipe, and thereby the active face of the sensor, is positioned in the immediate vicinity of the body, e.g. a valve flap, whose position is to be monitored.

  • Patent number: 7128100
Abstract: In an apparatus for feeding articles to a blister band, a box-like container, situated close to said band, is fed by a delivering device with a quantity of articles such as to allow accumulation of the articles on the surface of the band. A brush strikes and pushes the articles in a direction opposite to a forwarding direction of the band. A sensor, downstream of the brush, detects the thickness of the layer of articles on the band and interacts with the brush to maintain substantially constant the thickness of the layer of articles.

  • Patent number: 7125412
Abstract: The present invention rerlates to medical techniques, in particular, to methods and apparatus applied in minimally invasive vascular surgery to eliminate occlusion of blood vessel, using grafts and to prevent rupture of abdominal aorta using grafts or stent-grafts. More particularly, the present invention relates to methods and apparatus for locating and securing intravascular devices, substantially grafts, through a duct specially created by the surgeon to approach the blood vessel lumen. There is suggested a new and improved method for fixating an intravascular device to a blood vessel wall in combination with a new and improved stapler design based on this method.
