Abstract: A lighter includes a container, a base mounted on top of the container and having a nozzle mounted in a first end thereof and a second end, a cap mounted above the base for pivotally mounting a lever member which has a first end for engaging with the nozzle and a second end on which the user may press to operate the nozzle. The lever member further includes a safety piece extending downwardly from an underside of the second end thereof and having a first beveled surface facing the first end thereof, an L-shaped engaging member having a horizontal section laterally projecting from each of two sides of the first end thereof and each vertical section of the engaging member extending downwardly from the horizontal section and having a second beveled surface facing the second end of the lever member.

Abstract: A pulse detonation engine is provided with several detonation combustors selectively coupled to an air inlet and fuel source by a rotary valve. The rotary valve isolates the steady operation of the air inlet and fuel system from the unsteady nature of the detonation process, and allows the fueling of some of the detonation chambers while detonation occurs in other detonation chambers. The fuel system may use a solid fueled gas generator.

Abstract: An improved cylindrical lock comprising a housing, a lower pin seat mounted on the housing, a spindle, a plurality of springs, and plural sets of upper and lower pins. The spindle is constructed by a cylinder and an upper pin seat which is annular and circumferently provided with a plurality of holes. The upper portion of the upper pin seat is provided with an annular wall having a slit for accommodating the outward protruding wing of a key. The inner portion of the wall is provided with a plurality of semicircular grooves diametrically opposing the holes in the upper pin seat, so that one end of each semicircular groove communicates with the corresponding hole in order to form a longitudinal circular hole for receiving a set of springs and cylindrical pins and the other end of each semicircular groove is formed as a groove wall which can prevent the pins from being popped out. Thus, the cylindrical pins can only move between the semicircular grooves and the holes.

Abstract: An advertising display mounting device is provided for attaching promotional displays, dispensers, or other objects to a price channel mounted on the edge of a grocery or other retail store shelf. The advertising display mounting device has first and second clips adapted to mate with the price channel of a grocery or other retail store shelf. The clips are forced into mated relation with the price channel by a locking slide. First clip means is provided having a plurality of teeth. Second clip means has a slot formed therein for accepting first clip means so that first and second clips are oriented parallel to each other and to the price channel. A channel formed in second clip means accepts a locking slide, also having one or more teeth for cooperating with the corresponding teeth on first clip means. As locking slide is forced into the channel, first and second teeth mesh and move the first clip relative to the second clip to lock the mounting device in the price channel.

Abstract: A polymer comprising fluoroalkyl group has a structure in which one or two parts of the fluoroalkyl group at the one or both ends of the molecule are linked to a part of alkylene groups or alkylene groups substituted with halogen, a part of alkylene group substituted with functional groups, such as halogen, cyano group, alkylsulfonic acid group, amidoalkylsulfonic acid group, carboxylic acid group, carboxyl group, oxycarbonyl group, ether group, epoxy group and the like, and/or a part of silicone group. A method of preparation of the polymer comprising fluoroalkyl group contains reaction of a fluoroalkanoyl peroxide with a monomer comprising the functional group or a monomer comprising silicone group. A surface active agent comprises fluoroalkyl group and caroxylic acid salt group. A surface treatment agent comprises the polymer comprising fluoroalkyl group, hydrolysis products thereof, hydrolytic condensation products thereof, and mixtures thereof.
