Abstract: In an MRI apparatus having an open structure, vibration caused by eddy current is reduced with keeping the magnetic field shielding capability of a high frequency shield disposed between a gradient magnetic field coil and a high frequency coil. The high frequency shield comprises two conductive sheets 501, 503 which are divided into plural parts at different positions, and a dielectric sheet 502 sandwiched therebetween. Accordingly, in the high frequency shield, the electric resistivity to high frequency magnetic field is lower than the electric resistivity to the switching frequency of gradient magnetic field, whereby the high frequency shield can act as a uniform conductor to the high frequency magnetic field, exercise the shielding capability of the high frequency magnetic field, reduce eddy current occurring due to passage of gradient magnetic field therethrough and suppress vibration.

Abstract: There are provided an X-ray generating apparatus capable of switching X-ray beams of high energy and low energy to each other at high speed, and an X-ray CT apparatus capable of performing high-speed and high-quality multi-energy imaging by using the same. The first calculating unit calculates estimated developer consumption necessary to form an image. The second calculating unit calculates developer consumption corresponding to a sum of density values of image pixels. The updating unit calculates remaining developer. The instructing unit issues an instruction to the data processor to reduce developer to be consumed when the estimated developer consumption exceeds the remaining developer. The data processor converts scanned image data into print image data in response to the instruction such that the image is to be formed with the remaining developer.
Abstract: An MRI apparatus capable of performing a high-speed operation for removing aliasing from the data measured by non-Cartesian imaging in a real space with a small amount of operation is provided. Non-Cartesian data sampling is performed by thinning the number of data by using multiple receiver coils having different sensitivity distribution from each other. Image reconstruction means creates orthogonal data by gridding non-orthogonal data obtained by each receiver coil on a grid having an equal spatial resolution to and a narrower field of view than a target image, subjects it to Fourier transform and creates the first image data containing aliasing components. The second image data is created by using the first image data created for each receiver coil and a sensitivity distribution of each receiver coil.

In the surface emitting laser, a selectively-oxidized layer is included as a part of a low refractive index layer of an upper semiconductor distribution Bragg reflector; the low refractive index layer including the selectively-oxidized layer includes two intermediate layers adjoining the selectively-oxidized layer and two low refractive index layers adjoining the intermediate layers. Al content rate in the intermediate layers is lower than that in the selectively-oxidized layer, and Al content rate in the low refractive index layers is lower than that in the selectively-oxidized layer. This configuration enables providing more control over the thickness and oxidation rate of the oxidized layer, thereby enabling reducing the variation of the thickness of the oxidized layer.

The system comprises an MRI apparatus (100), a server (300) installed in a service center of a company performing the maintenance service on the MRI apparatus (100), and a network facility (200) for interconnecting the server (300) and the MRI apparatus (100). The server (300) transmits a permission request for remote connection to the MRI apparatus (100) through the network facility (200). If the remote connection is permitted, a VPN control unit (8a) of the MRI apparatus (100) converts the personal information on the medical image into a concealed mark and transmits it along with the medical image to the server (300).

Abstract: In an image forming apparatus, a recording head discharges liquid droplets onto a sheet conveyed on a conveying belt to form an image on the sheet. A sheet discharge device is provided downstream from the conveying belt in a sheet conveyance direction and is intermittently driven independently of and in synchronization with the conveying belt to convey the sheet in a sheet discharging direction. A voltage application device applies a voltage to a charger. A distance between the charger and a nip portion formed between a pressing member and the conveying belt for duplex printing is set so that a voltage applied by the voltage application device increases a charged potential of the conveying belt in an area electrostatically attracting a trailing end of a predetermined sheet and a leading end of a subsequent sheet.
