Abstract: A compact, hinged, foldably deployable ramp is provided in a base configuration which includes three evenly radiused sections which connect to a deck member and have a tube, known as a coping, separating the ramp from the deck. In the base configuration, a top section, mid section and lower section each have a pair of ladder structures which share a middle flange. The deck member includes a pair of angled leg members which are designed to provide support throughout the range of engagement of the ramp. Even size and radiusing of the sections enables continued extension of the ramp by adding sections in conjunction with longer support legs for the deck.
Abstract: A pressurized applicator and concentrate carriage system provides a concentrate container support having a spout guide and lock structure which permits a pump dispenser unit to operate when a spout is over a central opening and disenables pump dispenser unit operation when the spout is swung away from the main opening. The concentrate container support has several methods of installation and includes an opening with a specialized groove to provide non-vertical slip stabilization to the concentrate container. A collar adapter carries a circumferentially outwardly projecting land for interfitting with the specialized groove.
Abstract: An underwater motive device provides an integrated front cone and handle assembly with a mechanical link between the front cone and handle assembly to the main body of the unit which includes the battery compartment, motor, propeller and guard. The sealing between the cone and handle assembly and main body is accomplished by a double annular projecting seal having a rear ribbed portion extending deep into a slot in the main unit, and a forward more rounded ribbed unit which provides sealing in a front cone and handle assembly chamber. A battery cassette is provided for loading a number of commercially available flash light type cyclindrical cells, the battery cassette having an uneven pentagonal cross section so that it is inserted into a matching uneven pengagonal cross section within the main unit, but only where the battery cassette is of the proper orientation.
Abstract: A mouthpiece, barrel and reed table is provided as having at least one opening for supporting at least one mouthpiece, an extension for supporting at least one barrel section, and an optional table for supporting at least one reed in an organized manner. Variations including the use of a varying plurality of openings and extensions, with or without the optional reed table, to provide the user a variety of numbers of structures which can serve to fit in a variety of different sized available spaces. The basic member is a mouthpiece and barrel support structure, typically a volume of material, preferably a stylish stained hardwood, having at least one bore for supporting a mouthpiece and at least one barrel extension member for supporting a barrel.
Abstract: A mattress (10) comprises a support base (12) defining an interface surface (14) at the top thereof and a softer compressible layer (22) overlying the interface surface. The thickness of the support base varies along a longitudinal direction such that the interface surface (14) defines a concave laterally extending channel between first and second support surfaces (16,20) for the upper and lower halves of a user's body respectively, and the compressible layer (22) substantially follows the profile of the interface surface (14). The mattress (10) is particularly useful for a pregnant woman who can comfortably lie on her back, side or front.
Abstract: The invention discloses a system, method and medical device for measuring various hemoglobin derivatives, such as oxyhemoglobin, reduced hemoglobin, partial hemoglobin, carboxyhemoglobin, methemoglobin and sulfhemoglobin in whole or in hemolyzed blood. The novel method uses a statistical approach to enable the design of a portable co-oximeter. This portable co-oximeter utilizes compact light sources, such as light emitting diodes or light emitting lasers, to emit light in the visible region. Being portable, the device is a point-of-care device that can be used in emergency situations by paramedics, in the emergency room, and in a physicians office to detect and measure the concentrations and/or percentages of functional and non-functional hemoglobin derivatives in a patient's blood.

Abstract: An underwater motive device provides an integrated and modular battery and motive housing which is carried within an outer housing and secured by a nose cone system. The nose cone system works against an “o” ring seal carried between a structure of the integrated and modular battery and motive housing and the outer housing. A pair of latches act as levers to forcibly push the nose cone in place to seal off the battery compartment, and with cam action when used to urge the nose cone to a disengaged position with respect to the “o” ring seal. Nose cone removal and re-sealing procedure can be accomplished easily, even by those of limited strength.

Abstract: A compact, hinged, foldably deployable table utilizes a main square or rectangular member which pivotally supports a pair opposing side members from a position flatly adjacent the main member to a position at a right angle from the main member. An overlying top frame section folds from a position parallel to the main member and adjacent the side members, to a position at a right angle with respect to the main member. Locking members in the top frame positively engage and stabilize the side members. An overlying top which fits exactly within the upper frame is carried by the frame and provides sturdy support.
Abstract: A tapping device is configured to be used within a drill press or lathe or other device capable of holding a cylindrical object. The tapping device has an upper projection for being axially fixed in, for example, a drill press. The remainder of the body of the tapping device is rotatable with respect to the upper projection and includes side handles for providing handy mechanical advantage to the turning of the tapping device body. The end of the body opposite the upper projection includes a chuck for holding a typical tapping tool. The projection is connected to an internal shaft which engages the body of the tapping tool and is spring biased to draw the projection and internal shaft within the body of the tapping tool. Conversely, when the tapping tool is supported in, as an example, a drill press chuck, such spring urging acts to lift the body of the tapping tool in the direction of the projection.
Abstract: A light generating flashlight system device utilizes a large centrally located magnet which is mounted to slide past a magnet pickup or current induction wire which may be preferably mounted at a center point of travel in a tubular housing having a tubular chamber through which the magnet travels. A pair of elastomeric dampers are located each at the end of a support system sleeve which is sized to fit within a main housing to stabilize all internal support within a sealed unit. The result is a device which both facilitates the manual movement of the flashlight body so that the magnet slides past the center magnet pickup or current induction wire, and also conserves the residual momentum of the magnet once it has traveled past the magnet pickup or current induction wire by providing a bumper and spring to conserve some of the mechanical energy going in the other direction. Ninety second of manual activation enables about five minutes of illumination.

Abstract: A folding bicycle presents a number of advantages over both conventional and other foldable bicycles. The folded size of 12 ×25×6 inches (305×635×153 millimeters) compares favorably to other folding bicycles, and its 11 lb. (eleven pound, or 5 kilogram mass) weight is significantly superior to even the closest lightweight model at eighteen pounds, and about half of the average portable bike weight of twenty-two pounds. The folded volume of the bike at 1800 square inches is slightly over one cubic foot. The portable bicycle has a folding stowage time of about 10 seconds, and a deployment time of about 6 seconds. A folding pedal and handle bar design contributes significantly to a folded lateral profile.
