  • Patent number: 5553755
Abstract: In a whipped cream dispenser incorporating a tilt-type aerosol valve the tubular actuator has at its base a downwardly facing annular shoulder. This shoulder, by butting against the metal of the valve pedestal, prevents further tilting and further stress on the tubular valve spout. Further, ribs on the stem and actuator keep the actuator in fully installed position on the valve stem.

  • Patent number: 5495985
Abstract: Jet regulator and aerator for attachment to a faucet contains a circular perforated plate for producing individual jets, and a coaxial sleeve downstream. The sleeve supports--deflection slopes which are inclined at an angle to the flow direction. The deflection slopes may be in the form of conical-pointed pins aimed at the plate. The pins are mounted on a tiered-wedding-cake shaped wall. An axial cone in the sleeve may also comprise a deflection slope. Additional obstacles consist of pins and/or ribs located at intervals from each other.

  • Patent number: 5493349
Abstract: The case and stand for use with eyewear having filament-type temple pieces is a rectangular bed defined by a base panel and upwardly extending rigid side panels at the opposite ends thereof. To the upper ends of the side panels leaves are pivotally supported and the tops of the leaves are notched to receive respectively the pairs of strands. The leaves are each provided with earpiece retainers on the outside faces thereof so that the filaments can train over the top of the leaves respectively and the earpieces fit in the retainers, the lenses thereby suspended below. U-shaped covers are pivoted to the outer ends of the base panel so that in one position they can form pedestals for supporting the bed to be a stand, or when the leaves are folded inward can be flipped around to be a two-piece cover for the case.

  • Patent number: 5476308
Abstract: A sling extending from the upper end of the back of a tubular chair frame comes down in a seat portion and forward, is looped about the forward cross-piece of the frame and is doubled back under the seat portion. A separate elongate reinforcing web underlies the seat portion and is secured thereto in a non-shiftable position by woven fasteners to the underside of the seat portion. The double-back end of the sling is secured to the woven fastener on the underside of the reinforcing web, and the ends of the reinforcing web loop around the side elements of the frame and then are attached to each other under the seat portion with the desired amount of tension.

  • Patent number: 5375484
Abstract: A packing extracting tool comprises an annular body split into two parts in a plane passing through the axis of the body so that the body can be taken apart and reassembled about a valve stem. Clamping screws hold the two parts of the body together and additional screws clamp the body onto the stem of a valve being operated on. A leg extends away from one of the body parts and terminates at its distal end in a foot having a sharp blade angled downward away from the annular body. In one version the leg may be releasably secured in a dovetail-shaped connection in the body so that the blade may be adjustably spaced from the body and may, if desired, "free wheel" downward in the dovetail-shaped connection.

  • Patent number: 5370150
Abstract: A fitting (1) designed for example as a non-return valve (2) has an outer housing (3) having an inner lip seal (7) interacting with a closing element (5), and also an outer annular seal (8). Both the outer housing (3) and the seals (7, 8) are designed as injection moldings. The production of the outer housing with the seals takes place in an injection molding process in which, first of all, the outer housing and, in a second operation, the seals are injection molded. If appropriate, more than two operations, in particular in the case of more than two injection molding material components, can also be provided. By means of the injection molded seals, the latter are durably and closely bonded to the outer housing (3) resulting in simplifications regarding production technology and design (FIG. 1).

  • Patent number: 5370313
Abstract: A hollow body has a connected tubular discharge stem. The stem has a tapered tip formed with at least one discharge passage. An annular gasket complementing the shape of the taper is normally seated on the tip and valves off the passage. A hollow tubular shell is over the stem and carries the gasket at its upper end. The shell encloses a spring working between the bottom of the shell and a fin on the stem spaced back from the tip. In operation, the shell is moved away from the body so liquid can discharge through the gasket.

  • Patent number: 5364074
Abstract: A latching winch comprises a spool having a drive pin offset from the axis and extending out from one side. A drive/latch assembly comprises a drive plate formed with an opening coaxial with the spool and carrying in the opening a bushing having internal crank-engaging opening and a lateral drive lug spaced from the bushing. A pair of mirror-image pawl plates are stacked sidewise each having against the drive plate, the pawl plates each having an aperture in one end pivotally receiving the spool drive pin, a central opening loosely receiving the bushing and pawl detents extending outward, the pawl plates having projections, on the other end, the projections being disposed on opposite sides of and being adapted to be selectively engaged by the drive lug on the drive plate. A spring biases the pawl plates with their pawl detents outward.
