Abstract: A device for picking up animal excrement or other refuse that includes a disposable replaceable collection box placed in a saddle box. The saddle box is attached to an elongated handle which includes an outer tubular member surrounding an inner shaft. The saddle cooperates with chambers molded outward on the exterior of the disposable box to control opening and closing of the disposable box. A button like switch protrudes through the outer tubular member of the handle and is attached to the inner shaft member. Downward force applied to the switch transmits the force through the inner shaft, and causes downward motion of a pusher plate attached to the end of the inner shaft. The pusher plate applies the force to the disposable box through a ridge on the top of the box, thereby causing outward deflection of the side walls of the saddle box and inducing the box to open to receive dung.
Abstract: A portable, battery operated sanding or surface treatment device well adapted for use on a backyard barbeque grill. A combination handle/battery compartment extends downward from the horizontal element of an L-shaped bracket. An electric motor which is contained inside a motor casing is provided. The motor casing includes a portion of larger diameter and a portion of smaller diameter. Extending from the end of the motor casing of larger diameter is a rotating drive shaft. Attached to the drive shaft is a cylinder drive of predetermined span. An annular bearing assembly is provided whose external diameter is substantially similar to the predetermined span of the cylinder drive and whose internal diameter is slightly larger than the dimension of the smaller portion of the motor casing. The bearing assembly surrounds the smaller portion of the motor casing and the motor casing is screwed to the vertical portion of the L-shaped bracket.
Abstract: Sports fan's noise maker. The noise maker includes a noise making mechanism, said noise making mechanism comprising a disk-shaped outer casing. Contained within the outer casing is a gear with an attached handle, said handle extending outward through an aperature on the bottom of the casing. A striker is attached to the bottom wall of the casing and extends upward and is configured to abut against the gear when the device is rotated. A miniature baseball bat has a handle-receiving aperture at one end (the barrel end). The handle of the noise maker is firmly fitted into the aperture. In addition, a miniature baseball helmet is provided wherein the noise making mechanism is fitted into the bottom of the helmet. If desired a writing implement may be provided that is inserted into the end of the baseball bat opposite to the noise maker. Furthermore, if desired, a pennant showing the team colors and/or logo may be attached to the batting helmet.
Abstract: A utility cart which includes means for attachment to a common bicycle or which can be drawn by hand. Includes a main body compartment formed from a bottom panel, two side panels and a front and a back panel. Two wheels are attached to an axle which is attached to the bottom panel of the main body compartment via a selection of axle supports. Includes front and rear exterior equipment retaining modules in the form of cylindrical units having bottom stops. Any number of equipment retaining modules are envisioned and preferred embodiment shown and described herein includes four in the front and four in the rear. Means for attachment to a typical prior art bicycle is included. The means for attachment permits rotation along three planes thereby providing the smoothest possible transport of the cart and items contained therein. Removable legs are provided which can be attached if the cart is to be stationary, or can be removed when the utility cart is to be in motion.
