  • Patent number: 7607530
Abstract: A transfer conveyor which prevents collisions between works to be conveyed when the works to be conveyed or stored are carried on a conveyer track by a work support having a length shorter than the length of works to be conveyed, which permits reverse traveling during maintenance operations and the like. The collision preventing mechanism includes a sensing element which is biased into a contact position where it engages a leading work support on the conveyor track and is deflected, a sensing lever 132, which mounts the sensing element and pivots in accordance with the contacting/deflecting operation of the sensing element, and a stopper lever downstream from the sensing element, which is connected to the sensing element to be displaced into the path of travel of the next trailing work support when the sensing element is in the contacting position, The stopper lever limits the travel of the trailing work support to a predetermined storage conveying interval.

  • Patent number: 7594332
Abstract: A cylindrical bearing member, which can hold lubricating oil in blind grooves as oil reservoirs for a long period of time to exhibit a lubricating function sufficiently, the blind grooves being efficiently mass-produced on the inside of the cylindrical member at low cost. The cylindrical bearing member has an inner circumferential surface having a plurality of blind grooves and is formed as a hollow open-ended cylindrical member with a bottom from a circular column-shaped crude material or blank. The blank includes a tapered inner circumferential surface at its open end. A groove forming die pin including groove forming protrusions is pushed from the open end towards the bottom to obtain a cylindrical member in which a plurality of grooves are formed on the inner surface.

  • Patent number: 7588893
Abstract: The present invention discloses methods and kits for the determination of the concentration of one or more analytes in a liquid sample using capture agents immobilised on a solid support and binding agents for binding the analyte(s), the binding agents having tail groups capable of binding to the respective capture agent. Preferably, the capture agents and binding agents are complementary oligonucleotides, and the capture agents are immobilised in the form of microspots. The use of the tail groups and capture agents can allow the binding of the analyte(s) to the binding agent(s) to take place in solution, rather than at a surface, improving the kinetics associated with this process. In addition, the user of the assay can customise any suitable binding agents for use with a universal support, by attaching tail groups them.

  • Patent number: 7585239
Abstract: A transmission chain for a transmission having a drive sprocket and a driven sprocket with chain guides between the sprockets, at least one of the guides having a curved surface on which one of the runs of the chain slides in its travel between the sprockets. The chain has inner and outer link plates which respectively mount bushings and connecting pins which pass through the bushings with a clearance. The link plates have sliding surfaces which slide on the guide. The transmission chain has a chain pitch defined as P1, and the maximum clearance formed between the connecting pins and the bushings is defined as C. The sliding surfaces are curved like the guide and the curved surfaces of one of the outer and inner link plates, has a curve width X, and the curved surface of the other of the inner and outer link plates, has a curve width Y.
