Abstract: Two-way communication between a general purpose computing device, such as a PC, and a mobile terminal, such as a cell phone. The general device executes a conversation user interface through which a user enters a message. The message is sent to an intermediary communication service, such as a portal server, along with a mobile terminal identifier, such as a phone number. The intermediary service creates a mapping between the mobile identifier, a general device user identifier, and an extension to an intermediary device identifier, such as an extension to an SMS short code. The intermediary service sends the message to the mobile terminal along with the intermediary service identifier and the extension. The mobile device returns a response with the mobile identifier, the intermediary service identifier, and the extension. The intermediary service uses the mobile identifier and the extension to determine the general device user identifier and send the response.

Abstract: A hydraulic linear actuating drive includes a cylinder, a movable servo piston that can be pressure-loaded and that runs inside the cylinder, at least one piston rod attached to the servo piston, and at least one piston gasket having at least two sealing elements at a distance from each other. An intermediate sealing space is defined between the at least two sealing elements, an inner wall of the cylinder and an outer edge of the servo piston. The hydraulic linear actuating drive has at least one leakage channel that can move together with the servo piston. A first end of the channel opens into the intermediate sealing space and into a leakage fluid inlet opening located there, while the other, second end of the channel opens into a leakage fluid outlet opening arranged outside of the cylinder.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a method of fast call setup in digital trunking communication system, including: the terminal user initiating a PTT call; the base station receiving said PTT call request, assigning channel resource for the call, establishing forward service channel according to the distribution of channel, transmitting an empty frame on the forward service channel and at the same time transmitting an extended channel assignment message to specify the service channel assigned for the terminal; after receiving the extended channel assignment message, the terminal user opening the receiver to track and acquire the forward service channel, and at the same time transmitting one or more prefix-frame on the reverse service channel or reverse pilot channel; the base station or the terminal performing the operation of acquisition of service channel, if the acquisition succeeds, the call setup is successful, if the acquisition fails, the call setup is failed and enters release flow.

Abstract: A vacuum cleaner includes a motor-fan unit and a housing part including a filter receptacle. A filter frame is slidably insertable in an insertion direction into the filter receptacle so as to be disposed in an exhaust air stream of the motor-fan unit. The filter frame has a substantially parallelepiped configuration and is configured to receive a fine filter. The vacuum cleaner includes an air-permeable cover element pivotably disposed on the housing and configured to cover the filter receptacle. The cover element is operable to redirect force resulting from a pivoting movement thereof from the insertion direction to a pressing direction substantially perpendicular to the insertion direction so as to press an edge contour of the filter frame toward a mating contour of the filter receptacle in an inserted position of the filter frame.

Abstract: The invention describes compounds, compositions, and methods of using the same comprising a chemical moiety covalently attached to amphetamine. These compounds and compositions are useful for reducing or preventing abuse and overdose of amphetamine. These compounds and compositions find particular use in providing an abuse-resistant alternative treatment for certain disorders, such as attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), ADD, narcolepsy, and obesity. Oral bioavailability of amphetamine is maintained at therapeutically useful doses. At higher doses bioavailability is substantially reduced, thereby providing a method of reducing oral abuse liability. Further, compounds and compositions of the invention decrease the bioavailability of amphetamine by parenteral routes, such as intravenous or intranasal administration, further limiting their abuse liability.

Abstract: An audio amplifier with a negative DC/DC converter is provided. The audio amplifier receives VDD and VEE as power supply signals. The negative DC/DC converter is arranged to provide VEE from VDD, such that VEE is a negative voltage that is lower in magnitude than VDD. Accordingly, the power loss can be minimal with lower Vee, even though the audio power is increased. The audio amplifier further receives an audio input signal, and a reference voltage that is the arithmetic mean of VDD and VEE.

Abstract: A conical crusher, comprising: an upper housing; a tubular axle lodging a supporting rod. Inside the upper housing is mounted a cone head being axially journalled onto a spherical bearing carried by an upper end of the supporting rod and said cone head being radially and eccentrically journalled around the tubular axle. The supporting rod has a lower end thereof fixed to a piston of a hydraulic cylinder in order to operate as a support means for the cone head and also as an actuator to vertically displace the cone head and adjust the opening of the crushing cavity and also as a protecting means, reducing the hydraulic pressure to prevent overloads. The proposed solution further provides a locking hub mechanism in the cone head.

Abstract: A baking oven and a method for controlling the exhaust flow from a cooking chamber of the baking oven, the flow being discharged by a fan. The method includes increasing a speed of the fan during a first time interval after. A first temperature of the baking oven is measured using a first temperature sensor during the first time interval. At the same time a second temperature of the baking oven is measured using a second temperature sensor. An electronic controller is used to determine the temperature difference between the temperatures during the first time interval. At a selected fan speed, the determined temperature difference varies from an initial temperature difference measured at the beginning of the first time interval. The controller sets at least one of the fan speed and a position of a bypass damper as a function of the selected fan speed.

Abstract: A method and system is directed to routing a flow of packets over a network to multiple traffic management devices. An apparatus receives each packet from a network and forwards the packet to one of a group of traffic management devices. The apparatus also may receive packets from servers for which the traffic management devices are managing communications. When forwarding packets, a traffic management device is selected from the group of traffic management devices by employing a hash of an IP address and port number. The IP address and port number are selected from source or destination information in the packet that has a greater port number. When the traffic management device performs a network address translation, further actions may be performed so that packets that are part of a flow between two network devices are delivered to the same traffic management device.

Abstract: A device, system, and method are directed towards determining network information. A network address is determined for a possible proxy. A determination is made whether a port on the possible proxy is open and/or if the port supports an HyperText Transfer Protocol (HTTP) proxy request. A request is sent to the possible proxy over the port, the request being configured to be forwarded to a network device. A type of the possible proxy is determined based in part on a behavior of the network device. The behavior may indicate whether the request is received by the network device, or whether the possible proxy obscures an origin of the request. The proxy type may include whether the possible proxy is a non-proxy, an anonymous-proxy, a controlled-proxy, and/or an open-proxy. Various types of network analysis may then be performed using the possible proxy and the determined proxy type.

Abstract: The present high positioning reproducible mirror-actuator interface disclosed herein overcomes the deficiencies associated with conventional interface systems and offer a number of advantages that are disclosed herein. Generally, the mirror mounts provide a reliable and robust interface between the mirrors and actuators, that serve to move and position the mirrors, as wells as providing an interface between the mirrors and gravity compensator pins. The mirror mount is characterized as having a body that has an outer peripheral wall that includes a plurality of flexible elements around the perimeter of the body, each having a high stiffness in plane and a high flexibility out of plane. The body is open at the first end to allow flexing of the flexible elements. The flexible elements providing a direct coupling interface between the mirror mount and the mirror.

The cutting tool comprises a basic body (1) presenting an active end portion (2) coated with a diamond film obtained by the CVD growth technique, having superficial accidents (10) that are arranged and dimensioned to produce a substantial increase of the seating area for the diamond film and an increased degree of mechanical interference with the latter. This invention refers to the cutting tool above and to the process of obtaining said tool, to be generally used for cutting, drilling, abrading and trimming, and particularly to be coupled to ultrasonic systems.

One or more of the electrode contacts disposed on the stimulator are configured to deliver monopolar stimulation and/or multipolar stimulation. Exemplary methods of stimulating a stimulation site within a patient include providing at least one electrode contact array and at least one additional electrode contact. Both the electrode contact array and the additional electrode contact are disposed on an external surface of the stimulator. Abstract: This invention relates to a method and a device for the complete correction of sight defects in the human eye. Combinations of measuring, and processing methods are described which when applied as disclosed in the invention, make it possible to fully correct sight defects in the human eye. Measuring methods are used which can precisely scan the surface of the cornea and also register other imaging defects in the light path up to the retina. Computer-aided of said measuring results determined when combined with calculation of ideally corrected ocular lenses (for example after cataract operations) or ideally corrected surfaces of the cornea opens up the possibility of manufacturing a patient-specific lens and/or achieving ideal correction of the cornea using preferably a topography-supported spot-scanning-excimer laser system.

Abstract: A direct smelting plant for producing molten metal from metalliferous feed material includes a pretreatment unit for pretreating metalliferous feed material and producing pretreated feed material, a direct smelting vessel for smelting pretreated metalliferous feed material to molten metal and a hot feed material transfer apparatus for transferring pretreated metalliferous feed material from the pretreatment unit to a solids delivery device of the direct smelting vessel. The transfer apparatus includes a hot feed material storage device, a hot feed material transfer line, device for unblocking the hot feed material transfer line and a pressurising device. The hot feed material transfer apparatus includes a device for returning pretreated metalliferous feed material to the pretreatment unit.

Abstract: The present invention provides analogues of duocarmycins that are potent cytotoxins. Also provided are peptidyl and disulfide linkers that are cleaved in vivo. The linkers are of use in forming prodrugs and conjugates of the cytotoxins of the invention as well as other diagnostic and therapeutic moieties. The invention provides prodrugs and conjugates of the duocarmycin analogues with the linker arms of the invention.
