  • Patent number: 7658175
Abstract: An engine start device having a first start mode in which the engine is started on a spot by executing a start operation of the engine, and a second start mode in which a necessary accumulated force is previously accumulated in to start in one time in an optional place at an optional timing. In the first start mode, an accumulated force, accumulated by a rotation of a rotation drive section allows the engine to be started on the spot. If switched to the second start mode, the rotation of the rotation drive section is exclusively accumulated and released in the optional place at a desired time so as to start the engine in accordance with a one-touch operation.

  • Patent number: 7659703
Abstract: A circuit for providing an improved “feed forward” zero in a feedback loop such that the zero has a frequency dependent on the transconductance (gm) of a common gate transistor, and pole and zero separation that is dependent on a multiple of the gm. The circuit includes an error amplifier and a compensation circuit. The compensation circuit provides a first feedback current and a second feedback current. The error amplifier receives a reference signal and a feedback signal. The feedback signal is provided by summing the first feedback current and the second feedback current.

  • Patent number: 7660035
Abstract: A scanning microscope includes at least one light source, an acousto-optical element, a beam deflection device and a beam guiding device. The at least one light source generates an illuminating light beam. The acousto-optical element spatially splits a sub-light beam from the illuminating light beam and adjusts an optical power of the illuminating light beam. The beam deflection device scans the illuminating light beam over or through a sample. The beam guiding device directs the sub-light beam onto the sample.

  • Patent number: 7659253
Abstract: The invention describes compounds, compositions, and methods of using the same comprising a chemical moiety covalently attached to amphetamine. These compounds and compositions are useful for reducing or preventing abuse and overdose of amphetamine. These compounds and compositions find particular use in providing an abuse-resistant alternative treatment for certain disorders, such as attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), ADD, narcolepsy, and obesity. Oral bioavailability of amphetamine is maintained at therapeutically useful doses. At higher doses bioavailability is substantially reduced, thereby providing a method of reducing oral abuse liability. Further, compounds and compositions of the invention decrease the bioavailability of amphetamine by parenteral routes, such as intravenous or intranasal administration, further limiting their abuse liability.

  • Patent number: 7655820
Abstract: A method for producing a molecular compound which comprises mixing and kneading a solid host compound and a solid or liquid guest compound by using a kneader and optionally followed by extruding and granulating, wherein the method further comprises one or more of the steps of holding the product at a temperature which is 50° C. or higher and not higher than the emission temperature for the guest compound, washing the formed molecular compound with a solvent capable of dissolving the guest compound, pulverizing in advance the solid host compound, and adding a poor solvent such as water prior to mixing and kneading. The method allows the production of a molecular compound having improved stability.

  • Patent number: 7657618
Abstract: A system, apparatus, and method are directed to managing multiple back-end connections for pipelined HTTP communications. A traffic management device is configured to open back-end connections to multiple servers. The traffic management device distributes HTTP requests from a client device across multiple server connections. Instead of buffering the responses to ensure that each are returned in a same order as the requests, the traffic management device throttles a TCP receive window between all of the back-end server connections, but that back-end server connection associated with a first expected response. As each response is sent to the client device, the TCP window for the next back-end server connection is opened. This effectively offloads any significant buffering onto the back-end servers, enabling the traffic management device to return the responses in the same order as the requests.

  • Patent number: 7654559
Abstract: An airbag apparatus equipped with an airbag, a garnish, a hinge, a protector and a bracket fixed to a vehicle body. An upper side of the garnish is supported by the bracket via the hinge. An engaging part protruding from the lower part of a garnish main part is engaged with an engagement receiving part disposed at the protector. Normally, the engaging part is engaged with the engagement receiving part, thereby retaining the shape of the garnish. On expansion of the airbag, the airbag presses the engaging part, by which the engaging part is disengaged from the engagement receiving part, and the garnish is opened smoothly. The airbag can be covered with the garnish, thereby allowing the garnish to move smoothly on expansion of the airbag.

  • Patent number: 7657398
Abstract: A method of detecting an error in a measurement cycle. The method includes wirelessly transmitting a sequence of electrical signals sweeping through a predetermined frequency band from a transmitter to the receiver of an electric evaluation circuit of household appliance controller. The levels of the signals are measured, and a parameter is calculated from the signal levels in the evaluation circuit. The parameter is compared to an upper and lower limit, and the quality of the measurement cycle is determined as a function of the comparison.

  • Patent number: 7657122
Abstract: Using image data on a plurality of reduced object images to calculate a shift amount in regard to the gap of relative positions between the reduced object images by a correlation calculation between the reduced object images. A conversion equation is obtained from the shift amount for geometric projection process from the object image to each of the reduced object images. Initial image data on a single object image is generated using image data on the plurality of reduced object images. The above are used to estimate images of each of the reduced object images. A difference between the estimated image of the reduced object images and the reduced object images is projected in the reverse process of the geometric projection process, updating the image data on the single object image. The processes are repeated until the difference satisfies a predetermined condition and a high resolution object image is outputted.
