  • Patent number: 4982525
Abstract: A collapsible lobster or crab trap is described that has a pyramidal shape with a triangular base and three triangular sides. The sides and the base are covered with a mesh material. At least one of the sides has an entrance leading to a truncated cone shaped net that acts as a passageway to further entrap the catch. The trap has a lifting means in at least one of the sides to assist the diver to remove the catch and rebait the trap by hinging one side of the trap open. There is a net support means to keep the net in an open configuration to provide an easy entry for the catch to enter the trap. The sides are hinged to the base and one of the sides has spring clips near its apex. The hinges and the spring clips allow the trap to be easily placed and secured in its operable pyramidal shape and in its stored collapsed state.

  • Patent number: 4942662
Abstract: The safety razor has an axial control rod that may have three detenting positions in the handle to define the movement up or down of the rod which arcuately bends at least one razor blade and a razor blade support plate in which the razor blade or blades are placed longitudinally into a convex curve, a straight blade or a concave curve providing a choice of arcuate cutting edges for a smooth shave over irregular surfaces of the portions of the body being shaved.

  • Patent number: 4942362
Abstract: An analyzation apparatus for ignition systems that has a pulse detector circuit that generates and converts an AC signal into a DC signal, filters unwanted signals and allows the user to adjust the amplitude of the signal to accommodate differing ignition systems. A pulse stretching circuit is included to increase the duration of the signal and an analog driver circuit is included to convert the signal received by it to a linear voltage suitable for driving two LED display circuits. The LED circuits are connected in parallel with the driver circuit and the visual display of the LED circuits show a display proportional to the amplitude of the signal received from the driver circuit. The LED displays show the amplitude of the signal. The LED circuits have diodes the prevent current flow between adjacent LED's of the adjacent LED circuits. The apparatus includes a function switch to select the LED circuit desired and to interrupt power to the apparatus. A portion of the elements are enclosed in a case.

  • Patent number: 4904031
Abstract: An earring storage device with a rectangular boxlike base with a chamber extending from the top surface of the base. A half-section of a circular rigid disk is attached and normal to the top surface. The device has a plurality of quarter-sections of a circular rigid disk that revolve around a shaft affixed to the half-section. Attached to the top surface and extending over the quarter-sections is a semicircular cover that guides and axially space the quarter-sections. At least one of the quarter-sections has a magnetic surface and at least one of the quarter-sections may be made out of compressed fiber or cork. The half-section has a surface to which a plurality of pins are attached. The pins are attached at an upward angle so that the earrings have a tendency to slide down toward the base of the pins. The device provides easy access and viewing of the earrings.

  • Patent number: 4901817
Abstract: An explosive release window grille system for the window of a house or building. It has a window grille formed from a plurality of laterally spaced vertical bars that are rigidly secured in a grid-like structure by a plurality of horizontal bars. The bottom ends of the vertical bars have an eyelet loop formed in them and a bottom horizontal bar passes therethrough and functions as a shaft about which the window grille can pivot outwardly and downwardly. The opposite ends of the bottom horizontal bracket are secured to the outer wall surface by mounting bracket assemblies. The top horizontal bar has its opposite ends secured to the front wall surface by explosive release bracket assemblies. Each of these assemblies include exploding bolts having an explosive charge mounted in their shank. The bolts are inserted through the wall from the inner surface and their tips are captured by the brackets mounted on the outer surface of the wall.

  • Patent number: 4901209
Abstract: An illuminated bicycle having a body frame, a handlebar and wheels formed of hollow tubular members made of plastic material that allows light to be transmitted radially through their side walls. A high intensity lamp is mounted at a predetermined location within one of the hollow tubular members. A bundle of flexible elongated optical fibers have their one end positioned adjacent the high intensity lamp so that light therefrom would be transmitted through the optical fibers. The optical fibers are threaded throughout the hollow tubular members of the bicycle body frame so that when the lamp is illuminated the hollow tubular members will glow and make them highly visible at night. The lamp may be powered by batteries or a small bicycle generator.

  • Patent number: 4887355
Abstract: The invention is a device for opening heat sealed cellophane bags and packages. It is formed of a support bracket assembly, a doubled edged razor blade, and a safety guard assembly. The support bracket assembly is secured to the bottom surface of a cabinet or shelf. One end of the razor blade is inserted into a horizontal slot on the front wall of the support bracket assembly and it is secured in position by a screw. The other end of the razor blade is inserted into a horizontal slot in a vertical wall surface of the safety guard assembly and it is secured therein by a screw. The safety guard assembly is thus entirely supported by the razor blade and at a predetermined spaced distance from the front wall of the support bracket assembly so that a sealed cellophane bag or package can be drawn between their respective wall surfaces thus allowing the razor blade to cut off the heat sealed end of the bag.
