Abstract: A harness system for supporting a person off of a ground surface. The harness system may include a seat supported by a strap attached to the seat. The strap may form one or more leg containing loops for keeping a person securely positioned in the harness. The harness may also include a climbing strap for securing the harness loosely to a support device, such as a tree, while a person climbs a support device. The harness may be secured to a person by tightening a waist strap around the person's waist. The harness system may include a fall restraint device and shoulder straps enabling the harness system to qualify as a fall arrest system.
Abstract: A pneumatic tire for use on aircraft has a tread, a crown reinforcement, and a radial carcass reinforcement having at least one axially inner ply of textile cords wound around a pair of bead cores, at least one axially inner ply being wound around the bead core in each bead from inside to the outside forming outside turn-ups and at least one axially outer ply of textile cords extending from bead to bead along the turn-ups of the at least one axially inner ply. The at least one axially inner ply or at least one axially outer ply has merged cords having a percent elongation at break of 12% to less than 20% and a break strength greater than 1050 N with a linear density of greater than 9,000 dtex. Merged cord reinforcement is preferably used in the ply layers or strips of the crown reinforcement as well.

Abstract: An improved two wheeled reciprocating pedal driven scooter has a frame, front steering wheel, rear drive wheel, and rear wheel drive mechanism. The drive mechanism has two reciprocating foot pedals straddling the frame and extending to a forward hinge attachment location on the frame. The hinge location is at or above a drive axle. Each foot pedal has a short portion and an intersecting long portion forming a bend. The bend angle is 90 degrees or greater and is located at or below the frame. The attachment location of the foot pedal to the drive mechanism is at or near the bend. When the long portion of one foot pedal is at the bottom of the foot pedal stroke it is substantially horizontal, while the long portion of the other pedal is at the top of the stroke and is inclined to a maximum stroke angle of less than 35 degrees.

Abstract: A feature of the present invention is it is adaptable to any pre-existing storm catch basin system. Another feature of the present invention is that it permits empirical analysis and verification of the draw down rate. Another feature is the present invention can be adjusted or modified to increase or decrease the rate of draw down after it has been installed to insure regulatory conditions are precisely met without difficulty. Changes in future regulatory draw down rates can be easily implemented. A flow restriction device has an orifice plate, the orifice plate having a frontal surface area A and at least one opening for the passage of fluid of an area Oa, wherein Oa is less than A. The flow restriction device may also employ a screen debris plate, the screen debris plate having a plurality of spaced openings for the passage of fluid; the sum area of the openings being ?Osp wherein ?Osp is greater than Oa.
