  • Patent number: 7470920
Abstract: A display of wavelength elements can be produced from resonant structures that emit light (and other electromagnetic radiation having a dominant frequency higher than that of microwave) when exposed to a beam of charged particles, such as electrons from an electron beam. An exemplary display with three wavelengths per pixel utilizes three resonant structures per pixel. The spacings and lengths of the fingers of the resonant structures control the light emitted from the wavelength elements. Alternatively, multiple resonant structures per wavelength can be used as well.

  • Patent number: 7457461
Abstract: A method of improving run length video encoding commands is described in which all compression commands that require a current pixel value to be compared to a previously sent pixel value to determine whether compression can take place in a longer run is adjusted to relieve stringent match conditions. Instead of requiring an exact match, the compression engine subtracts one pixel value from another, and compares the absolute value of the result to a threshold value. In this way, run lengths can be lengthened for purposes of compression and compression efficiency can be increased.

  • Patent number: 7437725
Abstract: The present invention relates to a system for handling client/server traffic and communications pertaining to the delivery of hypertext information to a client. The system includes a central server which processes a request for a web page from a client. The central server is in communication with a number of processing/storage entities, such as an annotation means, a cache, and a number of servers which provide identification information. The system operates by receiving a request for a web page from a client. The cache is then examined to determine whether information for the requested web page is available. If such information is available, it is forwarded promptly to the client for display. Otherwise, the central server retrieves the relevant information for the requested web page from the pertinent server.

  • Patent number: 7424551
Abstract: A passive video multiplexing method and apparatus for encoding video synchronization signals within a KVM extension system. A Rack Interface Pod (RIP) is provided for receiving video signals from a network server and providing them to a remote user via a local area network (LAN). The analog signals received by the RIP are transmitted to a Rack Connection Manager (RCM) having video processing logic, a supervisory processor, a KVM switch system, and Ethernet interface circuitry. A plurality of ARI systems are connected to the RCM, and a plurality of network servers, intended to be controlled by the remote user, are connected to each ARI by a respective wiring strip or Pod Expansion Module (PEM). The RCM performs selective switching by sourcing current through a pair of diodes associated with an active channel of the PEM while reverse biasing diodes associated with an inactive channel to select a network server among the plurality of network servers.
